    Hi, I would like to create a powershell script generating a report showing all compressed files/folders on remote servers. By compressed files I mean files compressed using the buildin Windows Compression utility, not zip. But I have a hard time figuring out how to localize the compressed files. Should I go with WMI or?   • APK Assets not loaded on Kindle Fire HD

    I have developed an App for the Amazon Kindle Fire HD. While distributing I got a report from amazon that its not running on almost all Kindle devices and a blackscreen is displayed. They send me a logcat log file and I found out that it's not possible to load some assets directly from APK file (accessing via C++ and zlib). Everything is running fine if I start it via Eclipse. Any idea whats going wrong? Thanks!

    Greetings one and all - a christmas puzzle for anyone still looking at this site...This works but if i decide to cancel the process (ie not save a file and stop the process at this stage) it doesn't svae the file but the following marco (filltolastrow2) is still activated how can I stop this happening?     I have a problem with UpdatePanels and IE6. ( Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException ) The version of .NET is 2.0. The strange thing is that if i open Fiddler to capture the requests, IE6 starts working ok!.. If i close Fiddler, then IE6 starts to report the problem. The problem is that i can't see the request because when Fiddler is monitoring, the error stops appearing. Any suggestions ? Thanks

    I'm thinking that, as flat screens get bigger and cheaper it won't be too long before 'digital wallpaper'-like screens become popular in people's living rooms with a host of applications that could take advantage of this particular screen size/resolution. Is there a proper name for this size of screen? 'Wall Screen' - is too ambiguous 'Massive Screen' - is probably best reserved for something you'd put on the side of a sky scraper 'Small Screen' - nabbed by the mobiles 'Large Screen' - kind of means desktop I'm thinking of the kind of screen used in 'Minority Report'.

When user clicks report button, firstly in a new page results are binded to a datagrid, then this page is exported to excel file with changing content type method. That normally works, but when large amount of data comes, system.outofmemoryexception is thrown. Does anyone know a way to fix this problem, or another usefull technic to do?

  • getView() in CountDownTimer's onTick return sometimes null

    I had recently a crash report where I could see that in the CountDownTimer's onTick method the getView() call returns null. I use the onTick method to display the remaining time in a textView. The textView is inside a Fragment. Since the CountDownTimer runs in the UI thread I have no idea why this had happened. What could be the cause for this and what is a possible workaround for this problem? Thanks!

  • How do I find where an exception was thrown in C++?

    I have a program that throws an uncaught exception somewhere. All I get is a report of an exception being thrown, and no information as to where it was thrown. It seems illogical for a program compiled to contain debug symbols not to notify me of where in my code an exception was generated. Is there any way to tell where my exceptions are coming from short of setting 'catch throw' in gdb and calling a backtrace for every single thrown exception?

  • How to suppress warnings in external headers in Visual C++

    I'm starting a new BREW project, and I'd like to compile with Warning Level 4 (/W4) to keep the application code nice and clean. The problem is that the BREW headers themselves don't compile cleanly with /W4. In gcc you can differentiate between application and system headers by using -I and -isystem, and then by default gcc doesn't report any compilation warnings in system headers. Is there an equivalent mechanism in Visual C++?
