  • Qt -how to know whether content in child widgets has been changed?

    In QMainWindow I have 2 QSplitters. In that splitters I have QTextEdit, QLineEdits, QTableWinget, Ragio buttons and so on... I want to know if somthing has been chaged after pressing File-New menu button. Is there any general method for doing this? Somwhere I have read that it is recomended to use isWindowModified() function of QMainWindow, but seems it doesn't work.

  • In Silverlight programming, how to prevent visitors from caching the downloaded content?

    Hi all, I want to create an online quiz website using Silverlight. When the registered users are logged in, they can view and answer the quiz once per page. To proceed to the next question, they must push next button, and the new data downloaded from the server. The previous questions are not cached. Thereby everytime the question is requested, the question will be reloaded from the server again. My question is how to do my scenario above in silverlight? Thank you in advance.

  • How can I optimize this loop?

    I've got a piece of code that returns a super-long string that represents "search results". Each result is represented by a double HTML break symbol. For example: Result1<br><br>Result 2<br><br>Result3 I've got the following loop that takes each result and puts it into an array, stripping out the break indicator, "kBreakIndicator" (<br><br>). The problem is that this lopp takes way too long to execute. With a few results it's fine, but once you hit a hundred results, it's about 20-30 seconds slower. It's unacceptable performance. What can I do to improve performance? Here's my code: content is the original NSString.     I have an idea for an open source app -- the app would be free, but I would charge a small fee for data that a customer would order. For instance, let's say I'm writing a map application. I'd give the app away, make it open-source, but I would like to sell various maps to individual users. Is there a way to protect the data in such a way that makes it very difficult for someone to simply take the map they bought and distribute it to others? Is this feasible for an open source app?

    Hi, I want to create toolbar, whose functionality would be: Whenever the toolbar is "On/Activated", all pages should be parsed by a function, and the modified html should be displayed. [Example: i) There was this skype toolbar that would recognize phone-numbers in pages and automatically add skype links ii) If you have used MacAfee / Alexa toolbars, they modify the search results page displayed by Google My functionality would a lot simpler though] I want to create this for all browsers (though answers/pointers to any one platform would be appreciated). Please note that I am new to toolbar development, so detailed pointers from basics would be very helpful. I have heard to GreaseMonkey. However, if I can do it in a more "basic" way, it would be very helpful. (Alternately, tips to make a "custom" toolbar using GreaseMonkey would be welcome - though I would like to do away with ability to add scripts, etc. Also I installed greasemonkey and it does show up as a toolbar in FF/IE at all!     Ok so I am very new to html and the web. Right now I am trying to generate list items on the fly and then have them post back to the web server so I know what the person is trying to obtain.   • How do you return draggable content to their original positions in iPhone dev?

    I am wanting to create a button in my iPhone app that when touched will return other draggable elements to their original position. I have looked at the Apple "MoveMe' example, but that returns the button to the center of the screen. I want to be able to position draggable objects around the screen, drag the objects within the app, and then return them to their original starting positions by pressing a designated button.     I currently have a table for products with it's own set of tags and a table for news with it's own set of tags. I wanted to add related news to the products page so I was thinking of using like but since the column tags in the products page is something like (Products) tags- manutd, man utd, football (news) tags - manutd, blah, bruha [this one is related] (news) tags - man, utd, bruha [this one is not related] I wanted to use a query to show all news containing any of the tags(from products) seperated by commas using mysql. How should I go about constructing such a query? If there is a better way of doing this a little explanation would be helpful too. Thanks

  • Javafx Layout problem with VBox & HBoxes

    The following is a line from a UTF-8 file from which I am trying to remove the special char (0X0A), which shows up as a black diamond with a question mark below: 2464577 ????? True s6620178 Unspecified <1?1009-672 This is generated when SSIS reads a SQL table then writes out, using a flat file mgr set to code page 65001. When I open the file up in Notepad++, displays as 0X0A. I'm looking for some C# code to definitely strip that char out and replace it with either nothing or a blank space. The problem is on a particular product i need to check IF my pages contains: <span class="ProductNameText">This is product ABC</span> This is a work around because the customer only has 2 products which dont require 25 quantity. Ideally i would want to check if a page contained Kit Option form fields and then add 25 to the box. Any ideas on how to check for a span and then update the quantity. But the quantity shouldnt be forced, so if the user wants 6 items they should be able to add that figure.
