Issues with taglibs while using jasmine-maven-plugin to test dojo widgets with templates

I am using jasmine-maven-plugin to run javascript unit tests for my dojo widgets. One of my dojo widgets refers to a html template jsp file with taglibs. When I initialize my dojo widgets, I get the following error: Error: Invalid template: <%@ taglib uri="http://www.springframework.org/security/tags" prefix="sec"% The plugin uses jetty to deploy the scripts to test. I tried including jstl jar into the WEB-INF folder but it doesn't work. I am assuming it's just not DOJO and this taglib issue can occur even with simple js file. I am looking for some clue on why taglibs are not recognized here. If I remove the taglib entries, my tests just work fine.

I need to change the font color of a div with the id name "nav" to white. I did: $("#nav").css("color","white"); This works for all the text that isn't wrapped in < a tags but I need those changed too. I tried adding: $("a").css("color","white"); But that doesn't work. I also tried: var changeAColor = document.getElementsByTagName("a") $(changeAColor).css("color","white"); Any ideas appreciated.

Highlighting text beween custom tags

In a xhtml, i want to highlight the text between two self closing tags s1 and s2 whose attribute value is the same. Eg. <s1 ind="1"/> and <s2 ind="1" /> Eg. <html> <body> <a> <b>Some <s1 ind="1"/> text</b> <c>data <s2 ind="1"/>here</c> </a> </body> </html> I want "text data" to get highlighted. Is is possible to achieve using javascript/jquery? I could have many such self closing tag pairs s1 and s2 with a unique value for "ind" for the pair indicating that the text within them needs to be highlighted.

Extracting script tags from webpage using user script

My userscript has the following code var scrpt=document.getElementsByTagName('script'); i included this to know the number of scripts of each page i access. This works fine with some websites but for some sites i am not getting all the scripts present. I installed the user script in both firefox and chrome the issue is the number of scripts for the same site is different in both browsers. For example when i access this link Help extracting text from html tag with Java and Regex i am getting the number of scripts in firefox as:17 and in chrome as:15 but when i view the page source there are 22 script tags Please help me to slove the problem. I even tried document.scripts but still i get the same result.

What are the best practices for allowing a user to maintain the html title tags of all the major pages of his/her site? One way could be to allow the mapping of URLs to some text. For example, we have an app with the following (most complex) url format: http://lang.example.com/searchpage.zaf?a=foo&b=bar&c=RANDOM There are several parts to this: Language sub domain Search page Static parameter 'a' (user may want this in the title) Dynamic and relevant parameter 'b' (user may want this in the title) Dynamic parameter 'c' which can be ignored Never done this before, so I'm asking how you would tackle this!

Are tags considered requirements? [closed]

I'm new to stack overflow, made a few responses. I responded to a question that was something like: "I need to do X, I found a sed one liner that almost does it, but not quite" And was tagged 'sed'. I assumed the user just wanted a solution and tagged it with sed because it was a possible answer. So I suggested an alternate way using another tool that was more concise and didn't involve regex (another one-liner). I received a down vote for not meeting the requirement of the user. Since I'd like to make sure I conform to good forum etiquette, my question is: Are tags considered hard requirements that should limit the scope of responses? (within reason of course, a .NET question with a .NET tag obviously shouldn't receive a ruby answer).

How to allow certain HTML tags in a form field in Symfony 1.2

I'm playing around with Symfony and have encountered a road block. I created a model "CmsPage" which has a field called "content" which is stored as a clob (this is specific to doctrine I believe). When I created the app I set "--escaping-strategy=on" so if I enter any html when editing a CmsPage that gets encoded with html entities or something along those lines. I would like to allow html in this field and a quick googling hasn't helped much. Maybe I'm searching for the wrong terms. Anywho I would like to disable character escaping for this field and possibly only allow a small selection of html tags. What is the correct way to do this in Symfony?

Can't use static const as param in function call within binding tags in Flex 3

I'm having a problem in flex 3 where if a static const I have defined is used as the parameter to a function call within binding tags I get a "1120: Access of undefined property NodePropertyMatrix". _propMtx is a ArrayCollection. <mx:HBox visible="{_propMtx.getItemAt(NodePropertyMatrix.srcParent)}"> Above code throws the error, but the following code does not <mx:HBox visible="{NodePropertyMatrix.srcParent}"> NodePropertyMatrix is an AS class as follows: package model.constants { import mx.collections.ArrayCollection; public class NodePropertyMatrix { public static const srcParent:Number = 0; } } Anyone know what is wrong here?

For some reason, Urban Airship is making each character of the string into its own tag. I've tried to substitute the - for a string neg with the same results. What's wrong?

Automating builds from subversion tags

I'm trying to automate the build process for engineering group. As part of that automation, I'm trying to get to a point where the act of applying a specific tag that adheres to a pattern will kick off an automated process that will do the following: Check out source code Create a build script from a template Build the project I'm pretty certain I could do this with a post-hook in subversion, but I'm trying to figure out a way to do this with something other than a subversion hook. Would it make sense to monitor the tags directory in the subversion repository to kick off my workflow? Are there any decent tools that help with this (.NET would be great if possible). Am I better off just writing an engine to do this? My preferences: Existing product that does all or part of this If development work needs to occur, .NET is preferable Works with Windows (we've got a Linux based repo, but builds all occur on windows)

Alligator tags(<% %>) inside js string?

I am trying to redirect a page reading the url from the config file. However, when I try this: <script type="text/javascript"> <%string redirectUrl = System.Web.Configuration.WebConfigurationManager.AppSettings["RedirectURL"];%> window.parent.location.replace("<%=redirectUrl%>"); </script> the alligator tags <% % are Not being highlighted, and when I run I get the following error in the yellow screen: the controls collection cannot be modified because the control contains code blocks (i.e. <% ... %>). negative look ahead to exclude html tags

I'm trying to come up with a validation expression to prevent users from entering html or javascript tags into a comment box on a web page. The following works fine for a single line of text: ^(?!.(<|)).$ ..but it won't allow any newline characters because of the dot(.). If I go with something like this: ^(?!.(<|))(.|\s)$ it will allow multiple lines but the expression only matches '<' and '' on the first line. I need it to match any line. This works fine: ^[-_\s\d\w"'.,:;#/&\$\%\?!@+*\()]{0,4000}$ but it's ugly and I'm concerned that it's going to break for some users because it's a multi-lingual application. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi all, could anyone take a look at this for me? Problem: trying to output a csv on demand using Zend Framework. jquery: nested tags and hover() not working in IE

hello folks! i have a construction like this: <div id="container"> <span> <span></span> </span> <span> <span></span> </span> </div> i need to catch the mouseout event of the container, so i made jquery do this: $("#container").hover('',function(){ alert("Out"); }); In Firefox / Opera, it only fires the mouseout-function when leaving the div (how I want it). In IE it fires the mouseout-function at every -Tag inside of the div the mouse hits. (maybe important is, that the span tags have also mouseover and out events) Anyone has an idea how to solve this? (The nested structure cant be changed because a complex layout) thx4 any ideas!

Twig templates, inheritances and block usage

I've created three templates using Twig. The first one has block A defined in it, the second one extends from the first one, but includes a third template which sets the content of block A. When loading, through the browser, the url which renders b.html.twig, the content in block A (defined by the 3th template) is not positioned block _A is defined. Example:  {% block _css '' %} {% block _header '' %} {% block _content '' %} {% block _footer '' %} {% block _js '' %}   {% extends ::base.html.twig %} {% block _header %} {% render "MyBundleBundle:Header:header" %} {% endblock %} {% block _footer %} {% render "MyBundleBundle:Footer:footer" %} {% endblock %}   {% extends MyBundleBundle::layout.html.twig %} {% block _content %} SOME_CONTENT {% include MyBundleBundle::my_included_template.html.twig %} {% endblock %}  {% block _css %} <link.......................> {% endblock %} {% block _js %} <script..................> {% endblock %} MORE CONTENT BELONGING TO THE INCLUDED TEMPLATE What i expect here is, _css blocks content to appear on top of the page and _js block content at the bottom, but that's not happening. Can anyone please suggest a solution? EDIT: I have added this to the html page: <div data-bind="template: { name: 'message-template', data: messageViewModel }"></div> I now get the following js error: Uncaught Error: Unable to parse bindings. Message: ReferenceError: $messageViewModel is not defined; Bindings value: template: { name: 'message-template', data: messageViewModel }

How should I organize my mvc templates?

Hi, In the new version of MVC we have been given display and editor templates. I was wondering how to make the best possible use of these. I was at first thinking in the line of creating one for a collection and one for an item in the case I want to display either as a list or single but it does not really make sense to me. I'll show you what I mean and please comment if this is wrong. I have trouble figuring it out myself. <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<IEnumerable<DisplayPhoneModel>>" %> <% foreach (var item in Model){%> <%= Html.DisplayFor(x => item) %> <%}%> So in my tiny reality that would for every item in the model search for a display template for DisplayPhoneModel. XSL - How to match consecutive comma-separated tags

I'm trying to match a series of xml tags that are comma separated, and to then apply an xslt transformation on the whole group of nodes plus text. For example, given the following partial XML: <p>Some text here <xref id="1">1</xref>, <xref id="2">2</xref>, <xref id="3">3</xref>. </p> I would like to end up with: <p>Some text here <sup>1,2,3</sup>.</p> A much messier alternate would also be acceptable at this point: <p>Some text here <sup>1</sup><sup>,</sup><sup>2</sup><sup>,</sup><sup>3</sup>.</p> I have the transformation to go from a single xref to a sup: <xsl:template match="xref""> <sup><xsl:apply-templates/></sup> </xsl:template> But I'm at a loss as to how to match a group of nodes separated by commas. java web templates across multiple WAR files

I have a multi WAR web application that was designed badly. There is a single WAR that is responsible for handling some authorization against a database and defines a standard web page using a jsp taglib. The main WAR basically checks the privileges of the user and than based on that, displays links to the context path of the other deployed WARS. Each of the other deployed WARs includes this custom tag lib. I am working on redesigning this application, and one of the nice things that I want to retain is that we have other project teams that have developed these WAR modules that "plug into" our current system to take advantage of other things we have to offer. I am not entirely sure how to handle the page templates though. I need a templating system that would be easy enough to use across multiple wars (I was thinking of jsp fragments??). I really only need to define a consistent header and main navigation section. Whatever else is displayed on the page is up to the individual web project. Any suggestions? I hope that this is clear, if not I can elaborate more.

Multi MVC processing vs Single MVC process

I've worked fairly extensively with the MVC framework cakephp, however I'm finding that I would rather have my pages driven by the multiple MVC than by just one MVC. My reason is primarily to maintain an a more DRY principle. In CakePHP MVC: you call a URL which calls a single MVC, which then calls the layout. What I want is: you call a URL, it processes a layout, which then calls multiple MVC's per component/block of html on the page. When you compare JavaScript components, AJAX, and server side HTML rendering, it seems the most consistent method for building pages is through blocks of components or HTML views. That way, the view block could be situated either on the server or the client. This is technically my ONLY disagreement with the MVC model. Outside of this, IMHO MVC rocks! My question is: What other RAD frameworks follow the same principles as MVC but are driven rather by the View side of MVC? I've looked at Django and Ruby on Rails, yet they seems to be more Controller driven. Lift/Scala appears to be somewhat of a good fit, but i'm interested to see what others exist.
