Difficulty in running Tomcat v7.0 with Eclipse Juno

I get the following error when I run my JSP file in Eclipse-Juno with Tomcat v7: 'starting Tomcat v7.0 server at localhost' has encountered a problem. Port 8080 required by Tomcat v7.0 server at localhost is already in use. The server may already be running in another process, or a system process may be using the port. To start this server you will need to stop the other process or change the port number(s). I have Oracle 10g installed in my System. When I type "http://localhost:8080" it opens the Oracle 10g license agreement so I think Oracle 10g is already running in that port. To change the port of Tomcat I tried Google, which said to change the port in the "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache Tomcat 7.0.14\conf\httpd.conf" file But at "C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Apache Tomcat 7.0.14\conf" there was no httpd.conf file. I only have "catalina.policy,catalina.properties,context,logging.properties,server,tomcat-users,web" files in that conf folder. I use windows XP.

Distribution upgrade problem "No new release found"

Cost to licence characters or ships for a game

I am producing a game pitch document for a university game design class, and I am looking for examples of licencing cost for using characters or ships from other IP holders in a game. For example: cost of using an X-Wing in a game, licencing from Lucas cost of using the Enterprise in a game, licencing from Paramount cost of using the Space Shuttle (if any), licencing from Nasa EDIT The closest information I can find is from an article about Nights of the Old Republic, but isn't nearly specific enough for my needs: What Kotick means by Lucas being the principal beneficiary of the success of The Old Republic is that there are most likely clauses in the license agreement that give percentages, points, or another denomination of revenue out to Lucas and his people just for the Star Wars name, and that amount is presumed to be a great deal of money. Kotick is saying that because the cost of the license is so prohibitive, as he has personally had experience with in his position as CEO of Activision Blizzard, that EA will not be able to be profitable because of the hemorrhaging of money to the licensor. EDIT 2 Another vague source stating that FOX uses a "five-figure rule" (assuming between $10,000 - $99,000) It seems FOX, like most studios, will not license individuals to create new works based upon their products. They will only commission individuals of their choosing if they elect to branch out into expanded product lines related to those licenses. Alternately, they are open to making the licencing available to large corporations with access to global markets, but only if those corporations agree to what Ms Friedman called a "five-figure guarantee". Presumably this means that the corporation seeking the licensing must agree to pay a 5-figure sum for that license, and be confident that their product will sell enough volume to recoup that fee, and to produce sufficient profits to make the acquisition worth their while. Initializing Problem when using the Catalyst Control Center with fglrx

I activated, or installed the Catalyst 11.8 driver, which is the non postrelease one, I think. When I go into Applications - Other - Catalyst Control Center, I get an error saying "There was a problem initializing Catalyst Control Center Linux edition..." Also, when I open up a terminal and use fglrxinfo I get a X error, it says BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation). I'm not using Unity, I'm using Gnome Classic. Video card is a ATI Mobility Raedeon HD 5470.

Do I need to store a generic rotation point/radius for rotating around a point other than the origin for object transforms?

I'm having trouble implementing a non-origin point rotation. I have a class Transform that stores each component separately in three 3D vectors for position, scale, and rotation. This is fine for local rotations based on the center of the object. The issue is how do I determine/concatenate non-origin rotations in addition to origin rotations. Normally this would be achieved as a Transform-Rotate-Transform for the center rotation followed by a Transform-Rotate-Transform for the non-origin point. The problem is because I am storing the individual components, the final Transform matrix is not calculated until needed by using the individual components to fill an appropriate Matrix. (See GetLocalTransform()) Do I need to store an additional rotation (and radius) for world rotations as well or is there a method of implementation that works while only using the single rotation value? Conect to remote server using

Hi, I’m using Zen Cart (php) for my web site. I have images that is on my supplier’s remote server and my site is on Host Gator the only way to get the images show up on my site is to connect to their server using links to the images (per agreement). They tell me that ZenCart PHP does not allow you to serve images from a remote host. And I need to have a PHP programmer take a look at the code to see if he can manipulate the source code to allow this. Does anyone have solution for this? Thank you!! Vladi

LinkedIn Woopsie with the Outlook 2010 Social Media Connector

I have always used the LinkedIn toolbar for Outlook to sort out, upload and sync my contacts. Because of this I have over 2000 contacts in my contacts list that I sync with my phone, Plaxo, live, Google and others. I got a surprise the other day when my LinkedIn account was suspended and I was unable to login. Figure: Bad, account suspended So I contacted LinkedIn customer services to find out what the problem is, and here is the response: Dear Martin, We have recently noticed a large number of page searches and profile views through your LinkedIn account. We are aware that you may be using an automated or manual process to systematically view LinkedIn web pages. The information within LinkedIn is provided by our users for usage on the site only. In order to protect user privacy, our User Agreement prohibits using: 1. Automated or manual means to view an excessively high number of profiles or mini-profiles. 2. Automated means to run searches to collect or store data obtained from our site. We have placed a restriction on your account until you agree to stop using these or similar methods to view pages on LinkedIn. We look forward to your reply to discuss this further. Sincerely, LinkedIn Privacy Team It looks like LinkedIn has suspended my account because of something that their component is doing! I do not know if this is an isolated case, or if it will happen more as more users get on Outlook 2010 and update to the new software, but watch out. I have a interface in our code base that I would like to be able to mock out for unit testing. I am writing a test implementation to allow the individual tests to be able to override the specific methods they are concerned with rather than implementing every method. I've run into a quandary over how the test implementation should behave if the test fails to override a method used by the method under test. Should I return a "non-value" (0, null) in the test implementation or throw a UnsupportedOperationException to explicitly fail the test?

Could I improve lyrics display in OSD Lyrics by adding other lyrics sources beside its default ones (ttPlayer and Xiami)?

OSD Lyrics has a very good way of displaying lyrics but its sources seem poor - compared to what I experience in Windows with Foobar and in Ubuntu with CoverGloobus. The latter uses a small non-adjustable font, so I would rather prefer to use OSD Lyrics, were it not for this problem. Many people recommend OSD Lyrics as the best way to display lyrics, but in fact it couldn't even find lyrics for some songs of The Beatles, for example, not to mention other less popular artists.

Security risks posed by specifying technologies used

I am developing online tools for non-commercial use, which are hosted on dedicated hardware. I would like to include logos indicating the technologies I used (Apache or Python for example), at the bottom of the page. What are the security risks/implications, if any, of "advertizing" this information? It is better not to reveal that the web server is Apache, and that I used Pyhton and jQuery, for example?

Firefox Fonts Blurry (Web Content ONLY, **NOT** Window Decorations or Other Programs)

A picture is worth a thousand words... so does anyone know how to fix this font blurriness in Firefox? (You'll need to right-click the picture below go to View Image to view it full-size; it's too small to see anything here.) Note: My other applications (and the Firefox non-client area, as you can see in the screen) are completely fine, so obviously going to System-Appearance and changing the font settings isn't fixing the situation.

Financial Statement Presentation Changes

On March 10, 2010, FASB and IASB came to an agreement on financial statement presentation. They have been discussing changes for some time, such as displaying more lines items and moving certain line items from equity to the P&L, and now it seems they have finally come to a joint decision and put it in writing. I recently learned that there will be a trend to book nothing to equity and to convey everything in the P&L to take away any facility for companies to hide losses from its shareholders, investors, etc. (I'm exaggerating when I say book nothing to equity. Obviously, those items that already live there, such as stocks and dividends, would stay there.) But accounts like your CTA (Cumulative Translation Adjustment account) used to plug the gain or loss from equity translation would move from the equity section to your expense section. The rationale is that when you run translation, you're doing so for a subsidiary that you own, or simply put, it's a foriegn investment. Thus, the gains/losses of that foriegn investment should be itemized on your P&L and not buried in equity. The FASB will include changes in financial statement presentation in its Exposure Draft that is planned for issuance at the end of April 2010. Companies will be required to adopt the financial statement presentation provisions retroactively. Yes, that means companies will need to apply these changes to previously issued financial statements. The FASB Summary of Board Decisions can be found at "fasb.org".
