• Zend router problem

  Hi, folks. I have some problems with zend routes I have shops controller. It has 3 actions(for now): index - lists all of shops using paginator(so I have /shops/?page=2) show - shows concrete shop (show/Apple+store) search - shows search form So now I need to make routing for that. I have followin routes 'shop', new Zend_Controller_Router_Route ('/shops/:title',array('controller' = 'shops', 'action' = 'show'),array('title' = '/^(?!search$).+$/')) 'search_shops',new Zend_Controller_Router_Route_Static ('/shop/search',array('controller' = 'shops', 'action' = 'show')) but when i try to go /shops/Apple+store it says, that there is no Apple store action. If I ommit regexp part on shop route, I can't go to search. What am I doing wrong?

• Best way of showing more results with javascript/css

  I'm developing a website and i'm having troubles showing the search results to the user the way I want. Basically, after the user search, the page makes a couple of ajax requests and as soon as a response arrive it appends the info to a specific element on my page. Each results is shown as a line... The problem is that in most case there are going to be more than 1000 results and this would make the page have a large scroll. My idea was to show only the first 15 results and when the user clicks "show more" the element would expand and show the next 15 results and so on... This would be easier to do if the website wasn't responsive, but because it is I can't find the proper way of implementing what I want without lowering the website perfomance. I have "2 ideas": The first is by using something like #element .div:nth-child(-n+15) on my css and figure a way of changing the "15" to how much results I want to show... I don't know if this can be done. Is it possible to call css rules with parameters? Maybe with less css? The second option is probably a bad option if i don't want to lower the website performance. Using javascript I would check if there is a specific css class(like .show-15 .show30 .show45) and add that class to my element and if it don't exist, create it somehow.. Any help would be appreciated.

• Safari doesn't display 'alt' text on Images?

  <img src="image_that_may_or_may_not_load.png" alt="Show this text if image not loaded" /> Safari doesn't seem to show 'alt' text in case the image is not loaded. I'm not sure about other browsers, but Firefox does show the alternate text. Its so important to display alt text in email templates where the images would be blocked by the client most likely, atleast until the user accepts to "display images from this user/site". Any workaround for this? Thanks

• RoR custom routing/Method/View problem all methods come back as undefined

  I am playing with custom view and routes. I think that I have everything right but obviously not. Essentially I tried to copy the show method and show.html.erb but for some reason it will not work. I don't want to this 26 times (one time for each letter in the alphabet), I tried to use class instead of id but that causes all the #show to toggleup heh.

  I'm trying to make a game in java, but I'm a bit of a newb. The game has images, and when I run the application from eclipse, they all show up fine. But when I export the project as an application, the images don't show up. When I put the application in the same folder as the images, they show up when I run the application, so someone suggested that I just need to put the image files inside my JAR. Can someone tell me how? Thank you

  Newb question: how do i show a from that have been hidden using this.Hide(); I have tried MainMenuForm.Show(); and this just says i need an object ref have tried: MainMenuForm frmMainMenu = new MainMenuForm(); frmMainMenu.Show(); which seems to show the appropriate form. but when you exit the app, it is still held in memory because it hasn't shown the form that was hidden, instead it has shown a new version of the form. in effect having 2 instances of the form (one hidden, one visible). whats the correct procedure here Thanks in advance

  I have a db table in SQL Server which contains a start date for a project. On a web status page I want to show how many days/weeks/months the project has run, the units depending on the duration. So under 21 days I'd show days, under 7 weeks I'd show weeks, otherwise show completed months. So I get the days, weeks and months values and can then use some code to decide which one to display. Suppose the project starts on 30 Dec 2010 and I'm checking today (27 Feb 2011). select datediff(d,'30 Dec 2010',getdate()) as days, datediff(wk,'30 Dec 2010',getdate()) as weeks , datediff(m,'30 Dec 2010',getdate())as months produces days: 59 weeks: 9 months: 2 But in fact the difference is 8 whole weeks and some rounding takes place. I've tried doing it in ASP as well, getting the start date and then doing the datediff() but it's no better. Is there a better way? thanks

  I've been working on this for days but simply cannot find the correct references to make it work. The idea is to have a script that will baseline newly purchased Macs that comes into the company with basic stuffs like set autologin to off, create a new admin user (for remote admins to access for support, set password to unlock screensaver and etc) . Sample list for baseline that admins have to do on each new machine: Click the Login Options button Set Automatic Login: OFF Check: Show the Restart, Sleep, and Shutdown buttons Uncheck: Show input menu in login window Uncheck: Show password hints Uncheck: Use voice over in the login window Check: Show fast user switching menu as Short Name (note: this is only part of a long list to do on each machine) I've managed to find some references to make some parts work. Like autologin can be unset with: defaults write /Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences com.apple.userspref.DisableAutoLogin -bool TRUE and I've kinda found ways to muscle in a new user creation (including prompts) with AppleScript and shell commands. But generally its tough finding ways to do somewhat simple things like turn on password to get out of screensaver or to allow fast user switching. References are either too limited or just no where to be seen (e.g. I can unset autologin via cli but the very next setting on the system preference "show restart, sleep and shutdown buttons" is somewhere else and I can't find any command line to make it set) Does anyone have any ideas on a list, document, reference or anything of where each setting on the system resides so that I can be pointed to make it work? or maybe sample scripts for the above example...   We configured a site-to-site VPN and here is the topology. I control the network on the left but not the one on the right. All devices in our network has public IPs. Server---ASA5505---Cisco887======Internet=====ASA5510---devices I can see the tunnel is up and can do extended ping using a loopback interface. From the 10.175 and 10.165 networks, they can also ping my loopback address. • Cisco 678 Will Not Work using PPPoE - Possibly Because I Configured it Incorrectly..?

  I am attempting to configure a Cisco 678 because I am totally sick on my Actiontec. However, I am running into some problems. It seems as though the Cisco is able to train the line, but I am unable to ping out. I am all right at programming, but still learning a lot when it comes to being a system administrator. I apologize in advance if I did something ridiculous, or am attempting to configure this device to do something it was not designed to do. It is almost like I am not correctly configuring the device to grab it's IP using PPPoA (like my Actiontec.) The output from "show running" (below) makes me think this too. Using XAML to create a custom wallpaper image for your mobile device David Anson has a solution for those pesky lost devices, and let me go on the record right now saying if anyone finds a WP7 phone laying around, just call me, it's mine :) [think that'd work??] ... ok, David's solution is a WPF app "MobileDeviceHomeScreenMaker" that you get the info set and it produces a png you then put on your device.
