  • Help! Obj-C/Iphone programming: extracting string from html text and reading off line by line

    hihi, I have this html text response from a particular website: <tr><td valign="top"><img src="/icons/image2.gif" alt="[IMG]"></td><td><a href="crsdsdfs2221.jpg">crash-2221.jpg</a></td><td align="right">14-Jun-2010 14:29 Notice for every line, there is this href=".__", which is an image file with random name and random format. I would like to extract that string within the inverted commas out so that i can append it into a URL path and download the image. I've been looking through this documentation from apple: http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/cocoa/conceptual/strings/Articles/SearchingStrings.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/20000149-CJBBGBAI on String programming but couldn't find one that fits my bill. Also after reading it, what code can I use to ensure that I will be reading the next line the next time my function is called( because I want to download the next picture). Hope some kind soul can help me out, thanks!

  • scaleX scaleY increasing left, top margin, and line spacing

    If you have Text with a font that is 72 point for example (and scaleX scaleY = 1) you can achieve the same size with a font size of 12 and scaleX,scaleY = 6. For reasons that would take too long to explain I am applying a large scale factor as in the latter example. The problem is, even though the text is the same size, the line spacing and left and top margins have all been increased but I want them to be the same size as well. As far as the line spacing, I discovered that TextFormat.leading was being automatically increased when scaleX, scaleY was greater than 1, so I just had to reset TextFormat.leading back to 0. That leaves the left and top margins, and I have no idea how those are being increased. I tried TextFormat.blockIndent=0 and TextFormat.leftMargin=0 (and also ignorePadding=true) and it had no effect. And have no clue how to reset the top margin either to its orginal size, in case anyone has an idea for all these.

    I notice that some programs (e.g. sqlite, mysql client) provide a command-line prompt that is very similar in capabilities to the bash's, including: line editing with left and right arrows, delete, insert, ^K, etc. history browsing with up and down arrows ^R for reverse i-search in command history which make me think that they are using the same toolset for this. I'd like to create a prompt with similar capabilities in my program, which tools can I use? I prefer it to have the same functionality as in bash, so that the users would be familiar with it.

    I want to give default value to a textarea. The code is something like this: <textarea>{{userSetting.list | join:"NEWLINE"}}</textarea> where userSetting.list is a string list, each item of whom is expected to show in one line. textarea takes the content between the tags as the default value, preserving its line breaks and not interpreting any HTML tags (which means <br>,\n won't work). I have found a solution: {{userSetting.list | join:" " | wordwrap:0}} (there is no whitespace in the list). But obviously it is NOT a good one. Any help would be appreciated.

  • WPF Single Selection Across Multiple ItemsControls

    Part of my app has a month-view calendar interface, but I'm having trouble with item selection. The interface is set up so that each of the days in the view contains a ListBox of items, much like the month view in Outlook. The problem I'm experiencing is that I need to maintain a single item selection across all of the ListBoxes. Below is a sample window that should adequately describe my situation. I need to maintain a single selection between both ListBoxes. <Window x:Class="StackOverflow.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="350" Width="525"> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition /> <ColumnDefinition /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding Numbers}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedObject"/> <ListBox Grid.Column="1" ItemsSource="{Binding Dates}" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedObject"/> </Grid> </Window> In this primitive example, I would expect that when the SelectedObject property of my view model gets set to an item that's not in one ListBox, the selection would be removed in that ListBox, but that doesn't happen. I understand that I can simply name each ListBox, and hook into the SelectionChanged event. I'd prefer to not have to do that with an entire month-view calendar. There has to be a better way. In a previous iteration of the app, I was able to create a SelectionManager static class with an attached property that was used to maintain selection. However, I can't use this now as the classes I'm using for my items are not DependencyObjects, and I'd really prefer not to have to create DependencyObject wrapper classes as this will considerably complicate my architecture.     This is my first time using StackOverflow. I am trying to read a text file which consists of a single number one the first line. try { Scanner s = new Scanner(new File("HighScores.txt")); int temp =Integer.parseInt(s.nextLine()); s.close(); return temp; } catch (FileNotFoundException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } However, I get an error: java.util.NoSuchElementException: No line found at java.util.Scanner.nextLine(Unknown Source) at GameStart.getHighScore(GameStart.java:334) at GameStart.init(GameStart.java:82) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) I know that HighScores.txt is not empty, so why is this problem occuring? I tried using BufferedReader, and BufferReader.readLine() return null.

  • jQuery selectable with a single element deselected by clicking

    I would like to be able to deselect a selected item by clicking or using lasso, just like in Photoshop where I keep another key down to "deselect" parts of an existing selection. Is this possible? As I understand "jQuery UI selectable". There is only "single click" with or without CTRL to add multiple and then the quick lasso. I am trying to see how it would be possible to deselect, one or two elements of a whole selection by clicking them off again. Eg, you drag the lasso and get 30 elements but finds that 1 does not need to be part of this selection. You click it and deselects it. So something that reacts to the existing selection and removes the choosen element. Or with the lasso, you make a lasso selection. Gets 30 elements. Then you draw a new lasso, this time starting on an already selected element, now it default deselects and so does the rest of the group marked. I believe this should be customizable behaviour for the jQueryUI if anything. But is the "single deselect" possible with a simple jQuery hack or will it demand a lot of code?

  • How to combine two separate unrelated Git repositories into one with single history timeline

    I have two unrelated (not sharing any ancestor check in) Git repositories, one is a super repository which consists a number of smaller projects (Lets call it repository A). Another one is just a makeshift local Git repository for a smaller project (lets call it repository B). Graphically, it would look like this A0-B0-C0-D0-E0-F0-G0-HEAD (repo A) A0-B0-C0-D0-E0-F0-G0-HEAD (remote/master bare repo pulled & pushed from repo A) A1-B1-C1-D1-E1-HEAD (repo B) Ideally, I would really like to merge repo B into repo A with a single history timeline. So it would appear that I originally started project in repo A. Graphically, this would be the ideal end result A0-A1-B1-B0-D1-C0-D0-E0-F0-G0-E1-H(from repo B)-HEAD (new repo A) A0-A1-B1-B0-D1-C0-D0-E0-F0-G0-E1-H(from repo B)-HEAD (remote/master bare repo pulled & pushed from repo A) I have been doing some reading with submodules and subtree (Pro Git is a pretty good book by the way), but both of them seem to cater solution towards maintaining two separate branch with sub module being able to pull changes from upstream and subtree being slightly less headache. Both solution require additional and specialized git commands to handle check ins and sync between master and sub tree/module branch. Both solution also result in multiple time-lines (with --squash you even get 3 timelines with subtree). The closest solution from SO seems to talk about "graft", but is that really it? The goal is to have a single unified repository where I can pull/push check-ins, so that there are no more repo B, just repo A in the end.

This setting uses a password for encryption. You can then modify the SQL Server Agent job step command line to include this password. That all sounds well and good. But where and how to you specify the password?   • Actionscript - combining AS2 assets into a single SWF

    Hi guys, I have a flash project that I'm trying to export as a single SWF. There's a main SWF file that loads about 6 other SWFs, and both the main and the child SWFs reference other external assets (images, sounds, etc). I'd like to package everything as a single .swf file so I don't have to tote the other assets around with the .swf. All the coding is done in the timeline, but the assets haven't been imported into the Flash Authoring environment and I don't have time to do that right now (there are too many references to them everywhere). I'm hoping that there's just an option I'm missing that allows this sort of packaged export, but I haven't found anything like that. I don't have access to Flex or mxmlc (and as the AS is timeline-based, they wouldn't necessarily help me). Any thoughts? Thanks! PS...if there's no way of doing exactly what I'm saying, I could deal with having all the assets in a "assets" folder or something like that, so I'd just be toting around main.swf and an assets folder. The problem here is that all the references to the assets assume that they're in the same folder as the main.swf file, so everything's assumed to be local...is there a way to change the scope of all external references in Flash (so, for example, all local references in the code are actually searched in /assets)?

Suppose there is Adam as author of works in all tables. So when i put Adam in search box it should result from all tables. I know this can be done by having single table or renaming fields names but that's not required. Please help.

    I am trying to extract text from a file between a '<' and a '', but only on a line starting with another specific pattern. So in a file that looks like: XXX Something here XXX Something more here XXX <\Lines like this are a problem ZZZ something <\This is the text I need XXX Don't need any of this I would like to print only the "<\This is the text I need". If I do sed -n '/^ZZZ/p' FILENAME it pulls the correct lines I need to look at, but obviously prints the whole line. sed -n '/</,//p' FILENAME prints way too much. I have looked into grouping and tried sed -n '/^ZZZ/{/</,//} FILENAME but this doesn't seem to work at all. Any suggestions? They will be much appreciated. (Apologies for formatting, never posted on here before)

    When using the MnSymbol package, pdflatex gives two font warnings: LaTeX Font Warning: Encoding 'OMS' has changed to 'U' for symbol font (Font) 'symbols' in the math version 'normal' on input line 120. LaTeX Font Info: Overwriting symbol font 'symbols' in version 'normal' (Font) OMS/cmsy/m/n --> U/MnSymbolF/m/n on input line 120. It turns out that this is probably due to a clash with the AMSSymb package. Since I need just a few symbols from the package: is there a way to load one symbol from a package, in stead of all?

  • Line breaks in XML are ignored by the SAX Parser

    I am parsing an XML with some CData that contains line breaks. The parser ignores these line breaks. I am trying to figure out a way to catch these newlines in the characters() method and replace them with a break tag for display purposes. I have tried almost everything under the sun and have been scouring stackoverflow for the past 3 hours. I tried every combination of replacing "\n", "\r\n" and so on with a break tag in the characters() method of the parser. I am absolutely helpless right about now.... and would sincerely appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!!!
