While creating the button is not difficult at all, adding behavior to it requires knowing about how to dynamically create and add an action listener reference. Stamping means that the cell renderer component - af:selectOneChoice in this example - is instantiated once for the column and then repeatedly used to display the cell data for individual table rows. This however means that you cannot refresh a single select one choice component in a table to change its list values. Instead the whole table needs to be refreshed, rerunning the managed bean list query. Be aware that having individual list values per table row is an expensive operation that should be used only on small tables for Business Services with low latency data fetching (e.g. ADF Business Components and EJB) and with server side caching strategies for the queried data (e.g. storing queried list data in a managed bean in session scope).

  • All tweak settings not saving after last 2 updates?

    I am running Ubuntu GNOME 14.04. After the last 2 updates, all settings in the Tweak menu are no saving. It will also not switch to the Gnome Dark theme at all. This includes all Startup Application changes as well as any changes to Extension settings. I'm not sure if I need to include any sort of log records or anything like that, so if you need any more information please ask. I've noticed the default fonts seem to be different. I don't remember that being part of the theme settings. It's almost like I'm running in Safe Mode.

  • Oracle Romania Summer School

You might think that this is something usually uncommon for a company and you would be right. However, Oracle’s main value being innovation, we came up with a new project for Romanian students and graduates. We organised Oracle Summer School , offering them the opportunity to develop their soft skills and gain valuable business knowledge and exposure. How was Oracle Summer School programme organised? We focused on students and graduates’ needs and combined business experience with training and practice. The twenty four participants had different backgrounds, being interested in Software, Hardware, Finance, Marketing or other areas. The programme fulfilled each of these needs, bringing them in contact with Specialists and Managers. The first two weeks were dedicated to the company visits, business presentations and networking. The participants got an insight about employees’ activities and projects. Storytelling was also part of the program and people from different departments spent a couple of hours with the participants, sharing their experiences, knowledge and interesting stories. The Recruitment team delivered a training about the job interview skills in order to make the participants feel better prepared for a Recruitment process. The second module consisted of two weeks of Soft Skills trainings delivered by professional trainers from different departments. The participants gained useful insight on the competencies required within a business environment. The evenings were dedicated to social activities and it not very long until they started feel part of a team. The third module will take place at the end of September and will put the participants in contact with senior people from the business who will become their Mentors. What do the participants say about Oracle Summer School? “ As a fresh computer science graduate, Oracle Summer School gave me the opportunity of finding what are the technical and nontechnical skills required in a large multinational company. It was a great way of seeing how the theoretical knowledge I received during college is applied in real-life scenarios and what skills I still need to develop. “  (Cosmin Radu) “ When arriving at Oracle I had high expectations, but did not know exactly what was going to unfold because of the program's lack of precedence. This BIC2g image is based on OBIEE v. 11.1.1.7. with Essbase and Essbase Studio Server started when starting BI. It also contains: Updated BI-Apps Cross Functional Demo (date advanced from 2011 to 2013), including DAC 11.1.1.6.4, Informatica 9.0.1 and is configured for a load against EBS R12. Both the 7.9.6.3 rpd/catalog and the 7.9.6.4 rpd/catalog versions of BI-Apps are provided. Updated integrated Essbase - BI Apps - EBS Demo (date advanced from 2009 to 2013. Re-configured BI Apps Data Sets to remove VPD (simplification) and greatly improved performance. Oracle, with direct input from Federal agencies, subject matter experts, integration partners, and the Federal acquisition community, has expanded and deepened its procurement suite to meet the unique demands of the Federal acquisition community.   • Has anyone got the Mist engine to work on gtk3? [closed]

    Possible Duplicate: What GTK+ 3 engines are available? I've just upgraded my xubuntu installation to Precise and run into gtk3 theme problems - my theme based on the Mist engine doesn't work for gtk3 apps. There's a package gtk3-engines in the GNOME PPA that includes Mist, has anyone got this to work? It has a themes/Mist/gtk3.0 folder with a gtkrc file but it doesn't seem to work for me. Even if someone just has an idea where I could find more help on this I'd be grateful (is there even any documentation on making themes in gtk3?)

  • Facebook Comments Lost

    I am using Facebook comments on couple of my blogs at the moment and I just found that somehow magically all the previous comments made on posts are gone and are no longer being displayed. I'm using wordpress for all of these blogs and Facebook Comments for WordPress to manage all the facebook comments. But somehow they all disappeared all of a sudden. Another problem which I've been facing lately is that I can't seem to moderate the faceboook comments. When I go to http://developers.facebook.com/tools/comments where there should be a list of all the comments made on my sites (against the Applications that I've created just for the sake of comments), there is nothing there. This has been the thing from the starting, before the comments vanished on my site, today So technically, there are two issues to solve here.

  • 12.04 Ambiance dark side bar issue when clicking folder on desktop

    Concerning an updated custom ambiance theme: why is there no dark side bar when I click on a folder, like the home folder icon on the desktop, but the theme works as planned when I type nautilus in the terminal to open the home folder or when opening a folder up as root? Permissions issue perhaps? Note: I am using Cinnamon instead of Unity and I noticed it uses the Nemo file manager instead of Nautilus and I suspected that it was causing me the grief. I uninstalled it and now am using Nautilus only as the file manager. I found this out when I typed: sudo killall nemo and the problem went away. I'll see how this goes (and hopefully cinnamon doesn't care about it...) Has anyone else had any issues with this?

  • ubuntu 12.04 ambiance dark side bar issue when clicking folder on desktop

    ubuntu 12.04 gnome: concerning an updated custom ambiance theme: why is there no dark side bar when I click on a folder, like the home folder icon on the desktop, but the theme works as planned when I type "nautilus" in the terminal to open the home folder or when opening a folder up as root? Permissions issue perhaps? note: i am using cinnamon instead of unity and i noticed it uses the nemo file manager instead of nautilus and i suspected that it was causing me the grief. so i uninstalled it and now am using nautilus only as the file manager. i found this out when i typed: "sudo killall nemo" and the problem went away. i'll see how this goes... (and hopefully cinnamon doesn't care about it...) has anyone else had any issues with this?

What's the velocity? How big is a story point?  How many story points is that team producing per man hour?   People are sadly missing the whole point.  Take your measurements up a level or two.  When you get down to it, the only metric that makes any difference, is ROI.   The problem is that often times, the developers work in a dark hole, far removed from the realities of how exactly they get paid.  A bigger problem is that mid-level managers tend to be further removed from the realities of ROI.  A lot of times mid-level managers get tasked with tracking their teams "productivity" using things like, "lines of code", or "completeness of the productivity reports."   Monetize your projects and then track your velocity against business value (real dollars).    When your development teams can say, "Last year, our team cost the business 2 million dollars and we know that because of our efforts, the company saved 2 million dollars in waste and increased revenues by another 4 million dollars." At that point you have just moved your development team from a cost center, to a profit center.  You might have to give them a raise, but they have demonstrated that they have earned it.

  • How to prevent Gnome desktop from crashing?

    I have ubuntu 10.10 32bit running on my Asus EEEPC 1005PX. I am experiencing frequent desktop crashes. When I turn on my netbook at least once in 5 times the defualt ubuntu theme disapears and the classic gnome theme appears. Many times while doing some work, the desktop crashes and the CLI gets shown, and after a few seconds the login screen appers. I am not using any widgets or dock bars, I just have a single gnome panel with default menus. The crashes also happen when using the default bundled ubuntu apps. Is there any way to avoid these crashes?

  • Can I use electricsheep with gnome-screensaver?

    I installed electricsheep and xscreensaver, started everything up and was amazed and mesmerized for several minutes staring into the beautiful fractile universe, When all the sudden I moved my mouse and was HORRIFIED by a noisy hideous monster?!?! no anti aliasing , ugly white box!!! horribly pixelization IN MY FACE I'm referring to the disgusting xscreensaver unlock box, that seemingly several users have been trying to theme... But I don't want to theme it. I want my Beautiful Ubuntu unlock screen! My thoughts are that if I could use electricsheep with the gnome-screensaver then that would fix my problem. Any takers?

Who is going to ensure that these internet based services do not go down(either intentionally or by some malicious third party) leading to a multinational colossal disaster .At the risk of sounding pessimistic,  IT IS NOT AN ISSUE OF TRUST, this is but a mere case of Murphy's Law!  What then? Should the "cloud" be trusted to this extent at this time?  This is an era where challenges are rapidly solved with lightning promptness to "beat the competition", my hope is that our solutions are not just creating problems that we may not be able to solve!  Keeping my ear on the Ground.

Does it seem an adventure? Well it is and I will tell you how I came to have this international experience. Dzien Dobry! My name is Wojciech Jurojc, I am Polish and I am currently a Business Development Consultant within Oracle, based in Prague. I joined Oracle on the 1st of August 2011. I graduated in 2010 and obtained 2 Masters Degrees in Political Science and Economics. I would like to tell you more about my past and how I joined Oracle. In 2005 I began studying at the Faculty of Political Sciences Gdansk University. In 2008, I obtained a Bachelors Degree. During these three years I had the opportunity to go to England twice, where I worked as a Bartender, first in Blackpool and then in Manchester. This allowed me to improve my language skills and become more confident. In the meantime, I joined the International Student Organization-AIESEC, where I was organized conferences and conducted student projects. Also I met a mass of interesting people from around the world. After graduation in 2008, I was able to get an Internship within a big company in Poland. I worked there as an Intern in the Purchase Department. That was my first adventure within a corporate environment. I learnt a lot about purchasing processes and negotiations. In September 2008, I started studying two Masters Faculties: Political Science and Economics. It was very difficult, but it was not impossible. Over the next two years of studying I was able to go on a three month internship to India where I worked as a Marketing Assistant in an NGO. I was travelling around northern India and did presentations to the academic community about green energy and environmental projects. I had the opportunity to visit Nepal and walked in the Himalayas. That was a huge experience as well as a cultural shock. It taught me how to deal with many problems and to appreciate what I have. At the end of 2009 I was working as a Marketing Assistant for a Leasing company, where I learnt useful sales knowledge and improved my objection handling skills. In July 2010, I graduated with a double Masters and found a job in Thailand as Sales Representative in an IT company. I worked in Thailand until the end of January 2011. Besides that, I was working in an International company with interesting people and I had the opportunity to travel around Thailand and visit Cambodia. After this adventure I started looking for jobs in Europe where I could further develop my sales skills. I found Oracle and I don’t regret this decision which I made. I am currently working in Prague in an international Hardware team and I know that is not the end of my adventures. At this moment, I am working in a team of 12 members. Ten of them are based in Prague and 2 others are based in Russia. We come from different countries such as: Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Slovakia and Kazakhstan. I am working on the Polish market, cooperating with our Hardware customers and partners. What do I enjoy the most about my job? I enjoy every challenge that I face in my daily activities as there are always new experiences for me and new things that I learn. As part of Oracle, I gain international exposure and therefore more career opportunities to explore. I have planned my next step for the career path I dream of and I am currently working on it.   • Home folder icons dont change

    I just installed my-humanity icon theme on my Ubuntu 12.10 but i have an issue : I extracted the archive to /usr/share/icons or/and to ~/.icons but when i apply the icon theme from gnome twek tool home folders icons dont update but stay to Ubuntu mono dark default icons. Only Launcher/tray icons change I attach screenshots in order to understand whats my issue : My folder icons on home : How they should be : Any ideas on how can i fix it ? Note : On nautilus as root (gksudo nautilus) they appear how they should be .. Only on user do not appear !
