Without doing one cell per line, there are ~20 columns.   i am converting from access to mysql i have a table in access where one of the columns is an autonumber when i transfer the data into the mysql database (where i also have a column that is auto_increment), should i be transfering the auto_increment data into the auto_increment column, or will it auto_increment itself? how do i ensure that if i do not transfer the autoincrement data from access, that it auto_increments properly?

I would like to avoid to store the data twice, once in the List< and once as a string in ListViewItem. Is there a way to make ListViewItem use some callback function to obtain the text to put in its columns from the Tag property, instead of using its Text property?

  I was working with PreparedStatement today and noticed that it used setString() setTimestamp() etc. to insert variables into the DB. I basically have 20 tables each with at least 15 columns and it would not be feasible for me to manuallt write down all the setters. Considering that I have an ArrayList "Vals" which contains all the variables to be inputted in String format (obtained by getString() using PreparedStatement itself), is there any way I can do an insert without using expressly using the Setters? That would save me a lot of time.

For example: [{"att1": "1", "att2": "2"}, {"att1": "3", "att2": "4"}, {"att1": "5", "att2": "6"}] What i would like is to provide a view where each element of the json array is transformed into a row and the attributes of each json object into columns. Keep in mind that the json array doesn't have a fixed size. Any ideas on how i can achieve this ?
