  • How do I cause the controller buttons to display for an Apple Quicktime video embedded in Firefox?

    I am trying to embed a Quicktime video in Firefox, but when I do the controller buttons do not appear. I've tried both the old style embed tag and the new style object tags, but when I set the "controller" option to true there is no change in the appearance of the plugin. The video loads, but it is zoomed in on some portion of the video and there are no buttons to play, pause, etc.

There does not seem to be enough data to create the table. For example, when I look purely at parentId = 6: -Part 6 -Part 7 - ? - ? -Part 9 - ? - ? We know that parts 8 and 10 exists below Part 7 or 9, but not which. We know that part 10 exists at both 3 and 4 nodes deep but where? If I look at other data in the table it is possible to tell it should be: - Part 6 - Part 7 - Part 9 - Part 10 - Part 9 - Part 10 I thought one of the benefits of closure tables was there was no need for recursive queries? Could you help explain what I am doing wrong? EDIT: For clarification, this is a mapping table. There is another table called "parts" which has a column called part_id that correlates to both the parentId and childId columns in the "closure" table. The "id" column in the table above (closure) is just for the purposes of maintaining a primary key. It is not really necessary. The methods I have used to create this closure table is described in the following article: http://dirtsimple.org/2010/11/simplest-way-to-do-tree-based-queries.html EDIT2: It can have two and three hops. I will explain easier by assigning names to the items. Part 6 = Bicycle Part 7 = Gears Part 8 = Chain Part 9 = Bolt Part 10 = Nut Nut is part of Bolt. The Bolt and Nut combo exists directly within Bicycle and within Gears which is part of Bicycle. In relation to what method to use I have looked at Adjacency, Edges, Enum Paths, Closures, DAGS(networks) and the Nested Set Model. I am still trying to work out what is what, but this is an extremely complex component database where there are multiple parents and any modification to a sub-tree must propogate through the other trees. More importantly there will be insertions, deletions and tree views that I wish to avoid recursion during general use, even at the cost of database space and query time during entry.

  • Can I interrupt javascript code and then continue on a keystroke?

    I am porting an old game from C to Javascript. I have run into an issue with display code where I would like to have the main game code call display methods without having to worry about how those status messages are displayed. In the original code, if the message is too long, the program just waits for the player to toggle through the messages with the spacebar and then continues. This doesn't work in javascript, because while I wait for an event, all of the other program code continues. I had thought to use a callback so that further code can execute when the player hits the designated key, but I can't see how that will be viable with a lot of calls to display.update(msg) scattered throughout the code. Can I architect things differently so the event-based, asynchronous model works, or is there some other solution that would allow me to implement a more traditional event loop? Am I making sense?     We use jQuery modal dialog box to get confirmation from users before they delete an item. The modal dialog works fine as long as there are no YouTube videos on the screen. If there is a YouTube video the dialog box is displayed beneath the video. I tried changing the z-index of dialog to 3999, but no use.     I have a problem with needing to provide multiple model backed forms on the same page. I understand how to do this with single forms, i.e. just create both the forms call them something different then use the appropriate names in the template. Now how exactly do you expand that solution to work with modelformsets? The wrinkle, of course, is that each 'form' must be rendered together in the appropriate fieldset.   • UI suggestions on how to display suggested tags for a given text to a user?

    I am writing a web-app that uses a tagging system to organize the user's submitted reports. Part of it uses ajax to get suggestions for tags to present to the user based on the content of their report. I am looking for suggestions on how to present this information for the user. I'm not quite certain what a friendly way to do this would be. Edit: Well, most of the responses here seem to be focused on the user typing in keywords. The idea I'm trying to define here is more towards presenting the user a set of suggested keywords that they may accept or decline without having to type a tag in manually.     Hello, I have been struggling with getting the versionName for a running application from the PackageInfo Object type. I have constructed a Parcelable Interface with all of the fields associated with the PackageInfo Object type. The primary input for that interface method is a Parcel object. I cannot seem to figure out how to correctly associate these Parcelable, Parcel, and PackageInfo objects. Is there any sample code out there that I can look at?   • How to convert Unicode strings (\u00e2, etc) into NSString for display?

    I am trying to support arbitrary unicode from a variety of international users. They have already put a bunch of data into sqlite databases on their iPhones, and now I want to capture the data into a database, then send it back to their device. Right now I am using a php page that is sending data back to from an internet mysql database. The data is saved in the mysql database properly, but when it's sent back it comes out as unicode text, such as Frank\u00e2\u0080\u0099s iPad instead of just Frank's iPad where the apostrophe should really be a curly apostrophe. The answer posted to another question indicates that there is no built-in Cocoa methods to convert the "\u00e2\u0080\u0099" portion of the unicode string from the webserver to an NSString object. Is this correct? That seems really surprising (and scarily disappointing), since Cocoa definitely allows input from many different Unicode characters, and I need to support any arbitrary language that I have never heard of, and all of the possible characters. I save them to and from the local sqlite database just fine now, but once I send it to a web server, then perhaps pull down different data, I want to ensure the data pulled from the web server is correctly formatted.

    I have a configurable product which is available in many different colors and sizes. I want the configurable product to appear once for every color. My idea is to assign one simple product of the configurable product in every color to the category of the configurable product. Then I want to change the listing, so that the (colored) simple product links to it's master product (the configurable one). The other way would be, to just assign the configurable product to a category and then list it multiple times with different colors. But I think this would be to complicated.

    I have implemented the Ajax Autocomplete feature in my application using a web service file that querys my database and it works great. One problem I am having is allowing the user to see the item's name, as that's what they are typing in the textbox, but when they select it, it saves the item's ID number instead of the actual name. I want it to behave much like a dropdown list, where I can specify what is seen and entered vs. what is actually saved in the database (in this case, the product ID instead of it's name.)     I use Trac to track bugs, and future changes in my software projects. Tickets in Trac have a "Version" field and I'm trying to figure out the best way to use this field. Say I find a series of bugs in version 1.0 of my software. I create tickets in track for each and assign them to version 1.0. Now say I fix some of the bugs, and add some of the new features and release version 1.1. But some of the old 1.0 bugs are still in 1.1. Should I change their corresponding tickets to version 1.1 because they also now exist in 1.1? Or should I leave them set to version 1.0 as a way of tracking what version the bug was found in, and just assume that any open tickets in older versions still exist in newer versions?

    Hi, I was doing my academic project and while building and testing i have put many println() statements. But when I had to submit all prints should not be displayed. Can i implement something like listener which will be invoked when System.out is tried to be executed and prevents it from displaying. I dont know how feasible this idea is but just want to know whether its possible or not. My problem is that the tab is using window's icon for unknown file-type, I tried with Icon property of Window, Icon gets assigned but still problem is when I run application, task bar Tab initially displays window's icon for unknown file-type and when window-load completes it changes to the Icon assigned.     I was trying very hard to think of a solution for my problem but have drain all my brain cells into this...What happen is: I have a CK editor where it allows user to input both text and images. A good example would be http://ckeditor.com/demo. Something like the red riding good example in the demo. I would like to have text surrounding the image like the example. With CK editor, user can now do that. However, now they will submit the changes and i was wondering how should I save the data? What i have found: After reading my articles and solutions on the web, all the experts would advise not to put image into the mysql database together with the text. I would like to ask if this is the case what should I do to extract the text from the ck editor and store it into mysql database and separately store the images into my web server? I know how to retrieve text from mysql database. But how do you put the retrieved text abd images together such as it appears to be how the user have input in CK editor?? Guys I am sorry if my question is confusing you or is making you angry because i admit I am really a newbie in this and I will learn all that I can...Thanks for all your advice and teachings.
