• Connecting SceneBuilder edited FXML to Java code

  Recently I had to answer several questions regarding how to connect an UI built with the JavaFX SceneBuilder 1.0 Developer Preview to Java Code. So I figured out that a short overview might be helpful. But first, let me state the obvious. What is FXML? To make it short, FXML is an XML based declaration format for JavaFX. JavaFX provides an FXML loader which will parse FXML files and from that construct a graph of Java object. It may sound complex when stated like that but it is actually quite simple. So OK FXML is simple, but why would I use it?Well, there are several answers to that - but my own favorite is: because you can make it with SceneBuilder. What is SceneBuilder? In short SceneBuilder is a layout tool that will let you graphically build JavaFX user interfaces by dragging and dropping JavaFX components from a library, and save it as an FXML file. SceneBuilder can also be used to load and modify JavaFX scenegraphs declared in FXML. Here is how I made the small FXML file above: Start the JavaFX SceneBuilder 1.0 Developer Preview In the Library on the left hand side, click on 'StackPane' and drag it on the content view (the white rectangle) In the Library, select a Button and drag it onto the StackPane on the content view. In the Hierarchy Panel on the left hand side - select the StackPane component, then invoke 'Edit > Trim To Selected' from the menubar That's it - you can now save, and you will obtain the small FXML file shown above. Of course this is only a trivial sample, made for the sake of the example - and SceneBuilder will let you create much more complex UIs. So, I have now an FXML file. But what do I do with it? How do I include it in my program? How do I write my main class? Loading an FXML file with JavaFX Well, that's the easy part - because the piece of code you need to write never changes. You can download and look at the SceneBuilder samples if you need to get convinced, but here is the short version: Create a Java class (let's call it 'Main.java') which extends javafx.application.Application In the same directory copy/save the FXML file you just created using SceneBuilder. Let's name it "simple.fxml" Now here is the Java code for the Main class, which simply loads the FXML file and puts it as root in a stage's scene. /* * Copyright (c) 2012, Oracle and/or its affiliates. Now I only have to use my favorite IDE to compile the class and run it. But... wait... what does it do? Well nothing. It just displays a button in the middle of a window. There's no logic attached to it. So how do we do that? How can I connect this button to my application logic? Here is how: Connection to code First let's define our application logic. Since this post is only intended to give a very brief overview - let's keep things simple. Let's say that the only thing I want to do is print a message on System.out when the user clicks on my button. To do that, I'll need to register an action handler with my button. And to do that, I'll need to somehow get a handle on my button. I'll need some kind of controller logic that will get my button and add my action handler to it. So how do I get a handle to my button and pass it to my controller? Once again - this is easy: I just need to write a controller class for my FXML. With each FXML file, it is possible to associate a controller class defined for that FXML. That controller class will make the link between the UI (the objects defined in the FXML) and the application logic. To each object defined in FXML we can associate an fx:id. The value of the id must be unique within the scope of the FXML, and is the name of an instance variable inside the controller class, in which the object will be injected. Since I want to have access to my button, I will need to add an fx:id to my button in FXML, and declare an @FXML variable in my controller class with the same name. In other words - I will need to add fx:id="myButton" to my button in FXML: -- <Button fx:id="myButton" mnemonicParsing="false" text="Button" /> and declare @FXML private Button myButton in my controller class @FXML private Button myButton; // value will be injected by the FXMLLoader Let's see how to do this. Add an fx:id to the Button object Load "simple.fxml" in SceneBuilder - if not already done In the hierarchy panel (bottom left), or directly on the content view, select the Button object. Open the Properties sections of the inspector (right panel) for the button object At the top of the section, you will see a text field labelled fx:id. Enter myButton in that field and validate. Associate a controller class with the FXML file Still in SceneBuilder, select the top root object (in our case, that's the StackPane), and open the Code section of the inspector (right hand side) At the top of the section you should see a text field labelled Controller Class. In the field, type simple.SimpleController. This is the name of the class we're going to create manually. Now what does a controller class looks like? What should we put inside? Well - SceneBuilder will help you there: it will show you an example of controller skeleton tailored for your FXML. In the menu bar, invoke View > Show Sample Controller Skeleton. That's it - if you now compile everything in your IDE, and run your application, clicking on the button should print a message on the console! Summary What happens is that in Main.java, the FXMLLoader will load simple.fxml from the jar/classpath, as specified by 'FXMLLoader.load(Main.class.getResource("simple.fxml"))'. When loading simple.fxml, the loader will find the name of the controller class, as specified by 'fx:controller="simple.SimpleController"' in the FXML. Upon finding the name of the controller class, the loader will create an instance of that class, in which it will try to inject all the objects that have an fx:id in the FXML. Thus, after having created '<Button fx:id="myButton" ... />', the FXMLLoader will inject the button instance into the '@FXML private Button myButton;' instance variable found on the controller instance. This is because The instance variable has an @FXML annotation, The name of the variable exactly matches the value of the fx:id Finally, when the whole FXML has been loaded, the FXMLLoader will call the controller's initialize method, and our code that registers an action handler with the button will be executed. For a complete example, take a look at the HelloWorld SceneBuilder sample. Also make sure to follow the SceneBuilder Get Started guide, which will guide you through a much more complete example. • Building Queries Systematically

  The SQL language is a bit like a toolkit for data. It consists of lots of little fiddly bits of syntax that, taken together, allow you to build complex edifices and return powerful results. For the uninitiated, the many tools can be quite confusing, and it's sometimes difficult to decide how to go about the process of building non-trivial queries, that is, queries that are more than a simple SELECT a, b FROM c; A System for Building Queries When you're building queries, you could use a system like the following:  Decide which fields contain the values you want to use in our output, and how you wish to alias those fields Values you want to see in your output Values you want to use in calculations . For example, to calculate margin on a product, you could calculate price - cost and give it the alias margin. Values you want to filter with. For example, you might only want to see products that weigh more than 2Kg or that are blue. The weight or colour columns could contain that information. Values you want to order by. For example you might want the most expensive products first, and the least last. You could use the price column in descending order to achieve that. Assuming the fields you've picked in point 1 are in multiple tables, find the connections between those tables Look for relationships between tables and identify the columns that implement those relationships. For example, The Orders table could have a CustomerID field referencing the same column in the Customers table. Sometimes the problem doesn't use relationships but rests on a different field; sometimes the query is looking for a coincidence of fact rather than a foreign key constraint. For example you might have sales representatives who live in the same state as a customer; this information is normally not used in relationships, but if your query is for organizing events where sales representatives meet customers, it's useful in that query. In such a case you would record the names of columns at either end of such a connection. Sometimes relationships require a bridge, a junction table that wasn't identified in point 1 above but is needed to connect tables you need; these are used in "many-to-many relationships". In these cases you need to record the columns in each table that connect to similar columns in other tables. Construct a join or series of joins using the fields and tables identified in point 2 above. This becomes your FROM clause. Filter using some of the fields in point 1 above. This becomes your WHERE clause. Construct an ORDER BY clause using values from point 1 above that are relevant to the desired order of the output rows. Project the result using the remainder of the fields in point 1 above. This becomes your SELECT clause. A Worked Example   Let's say you want to query the world database to find a list of countries (with their capitals) and the change in GNP, using the difference between the GNP and GNPOld columns, and that you only want to see results for countries with a population greater than 100,000,000. Using the system described above, we could do the following:  The Country.Name and City.Name columns contain the name of the country and city respectively.  The change in GNP comes from the calculation GNP - GNPOld. Both those columns are in the Country table. This calculation is also used to order the output, in descending order To see only countries with a population greater than 100,000,000, you need the Population field of the Country table. There is also a Population field in the City table, so you'll need to specify the table name to disambiguate. You can also represent a number like 100 million as 100e6 instead of 100000000 to make it easier to read. Because the fields come from the Country and City tables, you'll need to join them. There are two relationships between these tables: Each city is hosted within a country, and the city's CountryCode column identifies that country. Also, each country has a capital city, whose ID is contained within the country's Capital column. This latter relationship is the one to use, so the relevant columns and the condition that uses them is represented by the following FROM clause:  FROM Country JOIN City ON Country.Capital = City.ID The statement should only return countries with a population greater than 100,000,000. Country.Population is the relevant column, so the WHERE clause becomes:  WHERE Country.Population > 100e6  To sort the result set in reverse order of difference in GNP, you could use either the calculation, or the position in the output (it's the third column): ORDER BY GNP - GNPOld or ORDER BY 3 Finally, project the columns you wish to see by constructing the SELECT clause: SELECT Country.Name AS Country, City.Name AS Capital,        GNP - GNPOld AS `Difference in GNP`  The whole statement ends up looking like this:  mysql> SELECT Country.Name AS Country, City.Name AS Capital, -> GNP - GNPOld AS `Difference in GNP` -> FROM Country JOIN City ON Country.Capital = City.ID -> WHERE Country.Population > 100e6 -> ORDER BY 3 DESC; +--------------------+------------+-------------------+ | Country            | Capital    | Difference in GNP | +--------------------+------------+-------------------+ | United States | Washington | 399800.00 | | China | Peking | 64549.00 | | India | New Delhi | 16542.00 | | Nigeria | Abuja | 7084.00 | | Pakistan | Islamabad | 2740.00 | | Bangladesh | Dhaka | 886.00 | | Brazil | Brasília | -27369.00 | | Indonesia | Jakarta | -130020.00 | | Russian Federation | Moscow | -166381.00 | | Japan | Tokyo | -405596.00 | +--------------------+------------+-------------------+ 10 rows in set (0.00 sec) Queries with Aggregates and GROUP BY While this system might work well for many queries, it doesn't cater for situations where you have complex summaries and aggregation. For aggregation, you'd start with choosing which columns to view in the output, but this time you'd construct them as aggregate expressions. For example, you could look at the average population, or the count of distinct regions.You could also perform more complex aggregations, such as the average of GNP per head of population calculated as AVG(GNP/Population). Having chosen the values to appear in the output, you must choose how to aggregate those values. A useful way to think about this is that every aggregate query is of the form X, Y per Z. The SELECT clause contains the expressions for X and Y, as already described, and Z becomes your GROUP BY clause. Ordinarily you would also include Z in the query so you see how you are grouping, so the output becomes Z, X, Y per Z.  As an example, consider the following, which shows a count of  countries and the average population per continent:  mysql> SELECT Continent, COUNT(Name), AVG(Population)     -> FROM Country     -> GROUP BY Continent; +---------------+-------------+-----------------+ | Continent     | COUNT(Name) | AVG(Population) | +---------------+-------------+-----------------+ | Asia          |          51 |   72647562.7451 | | Europe        |          46 |   15871186.9565 | | North America |          37 |   13053864.8649 | | Africa        |          58 |   13525431.0345 | | Oceania       |          28 |    1085755.3571 | | Antarctica    |           5 |          0.0000 | | South America |          14 |   24698571.4286 | +---------------+-------------+-----------------+ 7 rows in set (0.00 sec) In this case, X is the number of countries, Y is the average population, and Z is the continent. Of course, you could have more fields in the SELECT clause, and  more fields in the GROUP BY clause as you require. You would also normally alias columns to make the output more suited to your requirements. More Complex Queries  Queries can get considerably more interesting than this. You could also add joins and other expressions to your aggregate query, as in the earlier part of this post. You could have more complex conditions in the WHERE clause. Similarly, you could use queries such as these in subqueries of yet more complex super-queries. Each technique becomes another tool in your toolbox, until before you know it you're writing queries across 15 tables that take two pages to write out. But that's for another day...

• IE9, LightSwitch Beta 2 and Zune HD: A Study in Risk Management?

  Photo by parl, 'Risk.’ Under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs License This has been a busy week for Microsoft, and for me as well.  On Monday, Microsoft launched Internet Explorer 9 at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX.  That evening I flew from New York to Seattle.  On Tuesday morning, Microsoft launched Visual Studio LightSwitch, Beta 2 with a Go-Live license, in Redmond, and I had the privilege of speaking at the keynote presentation where the announcement was made.  Readers of this blog know I‘m a fan of LightSwitch, so I was happy to tell the app dev tools partners in the audience that I thought the LightSwitch extensions ecosystem represented a big opportunity – comparable to the opportunity when Visual Basic 1.0 was entering its final beta roughly 20 years ago.  On Tuesday evening, I flew back to New York (and wrote most of this post in-flight). Two busy, productive days.  But there was a caveat that impacts the accomplishments, because Monday was also the day reports surfaced from credible news agencies that Microsoft was discontinuing its dedicated Zune hardware efforts.  While the Zune brand, technology and service will continue to be a component of Windows Phone and a piece of the Xbox puzzle as well, speculation is that Microsoft will no longer be going toe-to-toe with iPod touch in the portable music player market. If we take all three of these developments together (even if one of them is based on speculation), two interesting conclusions can reasonably be drawn, one good and one less so. Microsoft is doubling down on technologies it finds strategic and de-emphasizing those that it does not.  HTML 5 and the Web are strategic, so here comes IE9, and it’s a very good browser.  Try it and see.  Silverlight is strategic too, as is SQL Server, Windows Azure and SQL Azure, so here comes Visual Studio LightSwitch Beta 2 and a license to deploy its apps to production.  Downloads of that product have exceeded Microsoft’s projections by more than 50%, and the company is even citing analyst firms’ figures covering the number of power-user developers that might use it. (I happen to think the product will be used by full-fledged developers as well, but that’s a separate discussion.) Windows Phone is strategic too…I wasn’t 100% positive of that before, but the Nokia agreement has made me confident.  Xbox as an entertainment appliance is also strategic.  Standalone music players are not strategic – and even if they were, selling them has been a losing battle for Microsoft.  So if Microsoft has consolidated the Zune content story and the ZunePass subscription into Xbox and Windows Phone, it would make sense, and would be a smart allocation of resources.  Essentially, it would be for the greater good. But it’s not all good.  In this scenario, Zune player customers would lose out.  Unless they wanted to switch to Windows Phone, and then use their phone’s battery for the portable media needs, they’re going to need a new platform.  They’re going to feel abandoned.  Even if Zune lives, there have been other such cul de sacs for customers.  Remember SPOT watches?  Live Spaces?  The original Live Mesh?  Microsoft discontinued each of these products.  The company is to be commended for cutting its losses, as admitting a loss isn’t easy.  But Redmond won’t be well-regarded by the victims of those decisions.  Instead, it gets black marks. What’s the answer?  I think it’s a bit like the 1980’s New York City “don’t block the box” gridlock rules: don’t enter an intersection unless you see a clear path through it.  If the light turns red and you’re blocking the perpendicular traffic, that’s your fault in judgment.  You get fined and get points on your license and you don’t get to shrug it off as beyond your control.  Accountability is key.  The same goes for Microsoft.  If it decides to enter a market, it should see a reasonable path through success in that market. Switching analogies, Microsoft shouldn’t make investments haphazardly, and it certainly shouldn’t ask investors to buy into a high-risk fund that is sold as safe and which offers only moderate returns.  People won’t continue to invest with a fund manager with a track record of over-zealous, imprudent, sub-prime investments.  The same is true on the product side for Microsoft, and not just with music players and geeky wrist watches.  It’s true of Web browsers, and line-of-business app dev tools, and smartphones, and cloud platforms and operating systems too.  When Microsoft is casual about its own risk, it raises risk for its customers, and weakens its reputation, market share and credibility.  That doesn’t mean all risk is bad, but it does mean no product team’s risk should be taken lightly. For mutual fund companies, it’s the CEO’s job to give his fund managers autonomy, but to make sure they’re conforming to a standard of rational risk management.  Because all those funds carry the same brand, and many of them serve the same investors. The same goes for Microsoft, its product portfolio, its executive ranks and its product managers.

• Windows LiveID "Couldn't sign you out" error at sign-out

  I'm implementing LiveID authentication on my website. I've done it before, but not on this particular platform, MojoPortal. The sign-in works properly, but when I attempt to sign-out, I get the error message quoted below. My browser is not blocking cookies. I get the same message when logging in to and out of, say, MSDN with a LiveID too now. I can't figure out if there's something about my site's programming that is interfering with the sign-out process of LiveID (since I believe that all (recent?) websites get sent a sign-out command) OR if live.com is just having issues lately and this is a coincidence. Couldn't sign you out We couldn't sign you out because your browser is blocking cookies. To sign out, close all of your browser windows.   I am using logback/slf4j to handle logging in my application. Everything was working perfectly until I started using EJBs. Once I added a stateless EJB to my app, the logger started ignoring my logback.xml and stopped using my appenders. I switched to a programmatic logger configuration to see what was wrong and now I am getting the following error when I try to use my logger within the EJB: org.slf4j.impl.JDK14LoggerFactory cannot be cast to ch.qos.logback.classic.LoggerContext stemming from the line: LoggerContext lc = (LoggerContext) LoggerFactory.getILoggerFactory(); Is there any special configuration necessary to get logback to work with EJBs? If it matters I am deploying on glassfish v3.

• Visual studio 2010 remote debugging is very slow (across domains, over vpn)

  Overall debugging works, but each step through code takes dosens of seconds. I've already closed all additional windows like stack trace,watches,autos; deleted all breakpoints. server and dev machine are located in different domains, so i set up local user on both, with matching password. remote debugger is running as service. looking at security log, I found quite a lot of entries about remote debugging account logging in (record about every minute). Any suggestions on how i can speed up remote debugging? dev computer: quad core, 8 Gb mem, win 7 x64 , visual studio 2010 ultimate target server: asp.net website , 2xdual core xeon, 2Gb mem, remote debugger 2010 communication channel: vpn , 5 mbit , latency about 20ms. (seems that debbugging never uses more than 20 kb/s)

• Cannot redeclare class error when generating PHPUnit code coverage report

  Starting a project with Zend Framework 1.10 and Doctrine 2 (Beta1). I am using namespaces in my own library code. When generating code coverage reports I get a Fatal Error about Redeclaring a class. To provide more info, I've commented out the xdebug_disable() call in my phpunit executable so you can see the function trace (disabled local variables output because there was too much output). I guess it should be noted that HelperBroker is the first file in the filesystem stemming out from library/Cob I am on Snow Leopard with the latest/recent versions of all software (Zend Server, Zend Framework, Doctrine 2 Beta1, Phing, PHPUnit, PEAR).

• Spring 3 Controller Exception handler implementation problems

  I was hoping to implement a single "ExceptionController" to handle exceptions that are thrown in execution of my other controllers' methods. I hadn't specified any HandlerExceptionResolver in my application context so according to the API documentation the AnnotationMethodHandlerExceptionResolver should be started. Verified as such in the source. So I am curious to know why the following isn't working. @Controller public class ExceptionController { @ExceptionHandler(NullPointerException.class) public ModelAndView handleNullPointerException(NullPointerException ex) { // Do some stuff log.error(logging stuff) return myModelAndView; } } @Controller public class AnotherController { @RequestMapping(value="/nullpointerpath") public String throwNullPointer() { throw new NullPointerException(); } } I see in the debug logs that the three default exception handlers are asked for handling of the exception, but nothing is done and I see "DispatcherServlet - Could not complete request". Followed by the user being displayed the stacktrace and a 500 Internal error.

  Hi, I'm a bit confused about a strange behavior of my JPA's related objects. I have three bundle : The User bundle does contain some user-related objects, but mainly the User object. The Energy bundle does contain some energy-related objects, and particularly a ConsumptionTerminal which contains a List of User. The Index bundle does contain an Index object that has no dependency at all. My OSGi environment is the following : A DataSource bundle that provide 2 services : dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. The three bundles. They consume dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. And finally, I'm using EclipseLink as Jpa provider and Spring DM (+ Spring DM Server in the development process) The problem is the following : When the User bundle is deployed, I'm able to persist User objects. When the User bundle and Energy bundles are both deployed, I'm not able to persist User objects (neither the Energy object). But I don't have any exception at all ! There is no problem at all with the Index bundle. The bug is dataSource independent (I tried with PostgreSQL and MySQL so far). My first conclusion was that the <class>net.nextep.amundsen.security.domain.User</class> in both persistence unit was causing the trouble. I tried without it (and hiding the User dependent object in the Energy bundle) but it failed too. I'm a bit confused about that bug. I'm also not quite sure about the transaction management in this context. I wasn't the one who designed this architecture (but I tell my intern OK without testing it.. shame on me) but if I could understand this bug and maybe fix it without rewrite the bundle (and break my intern work), I would appreciate. Am I doing something wrong ? (it's obvious, but what..) Did I miss something while reading documentation ? • Error creating System.Type from string "System.Int32"

  On a web site I published (pre-compiled) last night, I get the following error. Before pre-compiling it, I was getting a compiler error that a User Control was not found. After compiling on another machine, and running, I get the following Parser error: "Cannot create an object of type 'System.Type' from its srting representation 'System.Int32' for the 'DataType' property" was the, now runtime, parser error I got. The offending tag is telerik:RadNumericTextBox .... DataType="System.Int32"... I emphasise again that this error only occurs on XP SP2, not on Vista and Win7. I'm off to do some Googling and issue logging at Telerik.

• TimeoutException in simultaneous calls to WCF services from Silverlight application

  Analysing log files I've noticed that ~1% of service calls ended with TimeoutException on the Silverlight client side. The services (wcf) are quite simple and do not perform long computations. According the log all calls to the services are always processed in less that 1 sec (even when TimeoutException is occurred on the client!), so it is not server timeout. So what is wrong? Can it be configuration or network problem? How can I avoid it? What additional logging information can be helpful for localizing this issue? The only one workaround I've thought up is to retry service calls after timeout. I will appreciate any help on this issue! Update: On startup the application performs 17 service calls and 12 of them simultaneously (may it be cause of failure?). Update: WCF log has not contained useful information about this issue. It seems some service calls do not reach the server side.

• Add a Session Variable or Custom field to the Elmah Error Log table

  I want to add my own session variable to elmah error log table and display it. I already have modified the source code and added the new fields to Error.cs and other fields but I don't know but when I assign an HttpContext.Current.Session["MyVar"].tostring() value to my field in the constructor it stops logging exceptions and does not log any exception. I just need to get the value of the session variable is there other way for this. I read a post which he added fields for the email but it does not say where exactly should I get the session value.

  Hi I have compiled Mozilla NPAPI plugin example npruntime on Mac OSX 10.5. It give me a libnprt.dylib I am bundling this dylib with proper plist. On loading the plugin, NP_GetMIMEDescription() is getting called (i am logging this), but its not going inside NP_GetEntryPoints(). How a part of code is getting loaded and a part not? Can you suggest me of any other documentation or example code? Any light on "How to make an NPAPI plugin for Mac"? Advance thanks -Parimal Das

  Hi, I have a website and my users can browse the website for general information. If user wants to post any data, they need to register in the website. At the time of registration (in registration form) they can upload their photo. Once registration process is completed they can even modify the previously uploaded photo. My users are facing problem while they uploading their photo at the time of registration. I have given write permission to uploading files folder. But it is giving "Access denied" error. There should be a provision to upload files with or without logging into application. How can we achieve this?

• Why is SwiftMailer throwing "Internal Server Error"?

  I am using Symfony + SwiftMailer and getting the following error from SwiftMailer: 500 | Internal Server Error | Swift_TransportException Expected response code 220 but got code "", with message "" and can't figure out why. I am using hMailServer on my local machine, and have setup my factories.yml file (as I'm using Symfony) as follows: mailer: class: sfMailer param: logging: %SF_LOGGING_ENABLED% charset: %SF_CHARSET% delivery_strategy: realtime transport: class: Swift_SmtpTransport param: host: splodge.loc port: 25 encryption: ~ username: ~ password: ~ I'm using the following code to send: $message = $this->getMailer()->compose( '[email protected]', '[email protected]', 'Reset Password', 'Message' ); $result = $this->getMailer()->send($message); Has anyone had an issue like this before? I have found that sometimes, and very randomly, the send goes through, but every other time, I get the above error message. So constantly refreshing the page that sends the mail, fails unpredictably, and as the code sometimes works, it's kinda hard to figure out what's wrong. Any help will be highly appreciated!

• Looking For a .NET Task Scheduling library

  I'm looking for the following features: Scheduler uses SQL Server as the backing store Tasks can be scheduled by one application and executed by another I can have multiple applications, each of which handles a specific subset of tasks Tasks can be triggered at specific times, now, or based on the success or failure of other tasks Data can be attached to tasks There are a number of nice-to-have's, like a web management console, clustering/failover support, customizable logging, but they're not requirements. On the surface Quartz.NET has a nice interface and seems to fit the bill as it satisfies (1), (4 with some custom work) and (5), but I've been beating my head against (2) and (3) seems like I'd have to invest more effort than it's worth, especially given how convoluted the innards of it are. Any other libraries out there? Open source is preferred, with free as a close runner up. It's really hard to get management to pay for things like this when it's not their idea.

• DIV overlap on top of submit order INPUT button not working right in IE7

  I created a test account at www.avaline.com: username: [email protected] pass:test02 I'll keep the account around so you can see what's going on with this submit button without going through the registration process (and needing to fill in a fake address, etc). If logging in doesn't work, you can create your own test account though. Make sure at least one item is in your shopping cart, hit "proceed to checkout", and check off "PayPal" as your payment method (this way the payment won't go through for testing purposes). Once you're on the "review and submit" page, in IE7 (at least), hover over the "pay with Paypal" button, and you'll see that the cursor is a hand when you hover over the text or the button border, but it's a regular arrow when you hover over the button part. If you try clicking on the arrow-cursor area, you'll get the error that you should see...but if you click on the hand-cursor area, you get redirected to the paypal page. In FF, the #hidSubm DIV covers the "Pay with Paypal" button. Why isn't it working in IE7?
