  • ASP.NET Dynamic Data field value disappears in the browser.

    I have an ASP.NET Dynamic Data web application, with an entity called ActivationResource. One of the properties of this is a CellPhone field. Now, whenever I open a List or Details view of one of these entities, the cell phone number displays for a moment then disappears. Anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this mysterious behavior?

  • Little CSS problem with Auto height and nested div's

    So I'm finally learning my way around CSS more and have run into a small problem. I have a container div, with a few divs inside of it, one of them is a bit if text (which can be a random height) and an image that will have a MAX height of 200px. I am using a dotted/colored background behind them that needs to auto expand to the height of whichever is the tallest, either the text or the image. Right now when i use height:auto on the container div it works perfect for the random height text: Example Screenshot But it's only adjusting according to the text's height; if the image is taller than the text, the image overflows the bottom of the background dotted/colored box.   • Calculating MKV duration

    Hello, I have written a simple database program to keep track of my downloaded movies and tv shows, they tend to be in AVI or MKV formats. My program reads the header of the files to get details like resolution, codec and so on. The problem is converting the track duration value I pull out of an MKV file in to seconds, the documentation states that the time code should be used but I don't seem to be able to turn that in to the correct time. Can anyone help?

    I'm looking at using the JasperReport Web Services to create user specific reports. As opposed to getting a user to supply the name of the user to use for the query (and therefore expose a risk of users viewing each others data), I'd like within JasperReport to pull out their identity from their (Basic) authentication details from the web service run report call and then use their user name as a query parameter when running the report. Is there any documentation or examples on how this can be achieved?

    I'm probably going about this the wrong way but... I’ve added a field to the User Profile called profile_real_name which is required by the user. Is there a way to access the details in CCK? For example in CCK when creating a new field I can access the user’s username with the ‘User reference’ Field type and setting the ‘Widget type’ to ‘Autocomplete text field’.     Hi, I am planning to have something like this for a website that is on Ruby on Rails. User comes and enters a bunch of names in a text field, and a queue gets created from all the names. From there the website keeps asking more details for each one from the queue until the queue finishes. Is there any queue management gem available in Ruby or I have to just create an array and keep incrementing the index in session variable to emulate a queue behaviour?

  • Align 2 sets of 2D point clouds

    From what I gather, there are two major methods to perform alignment on point clouds, Iterative Closest Point (ICP) and Particle Filtering. What are the advantages of each method? And can someone point me some good tutorials. For what I am currently doing, I think ICP would be easier, I can't seem to find any simple reference implementations online for 2d point sets.
