  • How do I allow users to dial numbers in my tableView cells?

    Hi all, I have a table containing cells with phone numbers. How can I allow the user to dial these numbers by tapping the row? It's not working by default and there's no option in interface builder like there is for uiwebviews so I imagine I need to programmatically tell the app to dial the number when the cell is tapped.

    Hi, I'm trying to get a UITableView to read it's data from a file.     I have a plist file in my resources group in xcode. I am trying to copy this into my documents directory on app launch.   • Problem pushing multiple view controllers onto navigation controller stack

    Hi, I am trying to push three view controllers onto the navigation controller. [self.navigationController pushViewController:one animated:YES]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:two animated:YES]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:three animated:YES]; The desired behavior is that view three will show, and when the back button is pressed it will go to view two and then to view one... What actually happens is that view one is visible and pressing back goes to view two and then back again it goes to view one. Which is to say that view one is shown instead of view three. Very strangely, looking at the viewController array of the navigationController after the calls above show the right entries, and looking at the visibleViewController property shows that it has view three in it... even though view one is visible. If i navigate to a sub view from the visible view one (that shows in the place of view three) and press back from that sub view... it goes to view three. It looks like it is showing view one, but knows it is on view three... I am completely confused... any ideas? Jim

This app features a way to connect your webcam or dv cam that is connected on the internet, you could set up the ip address and enter the data on the app and it will connect to your online camera. the thing is that they have the video stream and it looks like they embedded the video in a uiview or webview at the bottom they have buttons to choose from all the cameras you have set up. so this is different from other video streaming apps because it does not play the video from the full screen mode (MPMediaPlayer API) would there be any tutorials about this or somehow take reverse engineer this?

    Files uploaded to Google Drive sometimes incorrectly have a hidden tag when listed via the Document List v3 REST API: <category scheme='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005/labels' term='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005/labels#hidden' label='hidden'/> This happens if: a subfolder is created via the Google Drive desktop client and files are copied in, or a folder is uploaded via the Google Drive web client. The folder does not have the hidden tag, but the files that were uploaded do. The files do not have this tag if: they are individually uploaded via the Google Drive web client to the subfolder, or they are uploaded via the REST API to the subfolder, or they are uploaded via the desktop client to the My Drive root. The files and folders show up in Google Drive whether they have the hidden tag or not. We're using the API with the following scope: https://docs.google.com/feeds/ https://spreadsheets.google.com/feeds/ https://docs.googleusercontent.com/ I have verified and can recreate this with the OAuth 2.0 playground. Google Drive desktop client version 1.3.3209.2600 on Win7 32-bit I guess these must be bugs in the API...

    Hey everyone, I am learning about using the checkmark cell accessory and am wondering why the contents of my cell is disappearing when toggling it.   • How to keep track of NSManagedObjects created in core-data persistently.

    In my application i am using core-data to store information and saving these data to the server using web-connectivity i have to use MySql. Basically what i want to do is to keep track of number of NSManagedObject already created and Whenever i am adding new NSManagedObject, based on that counting it will assign the class a Int_value which will act as primary_key in MySql. For examaple, there are already 10 NSManagedobjects, and when i will add new one it will assign it "11" as primary_key. these value will have to be increasing because there is no deleting of NSManagedObject. From my approach its about static member in applicationDelegate whose initial value can be any integer but should be incremented by one everytime new NSManagedObject is created and also it should be persistent. I am not clear how to do this, please give me suggestions. Thanks in advance.

    So I have a uipicker view, that I have managed to load some data from my db into. I would like to update a textview, which is right above the pickerview, with each changing of the row. Is that possible? If I don't have to, I would like to avoid pushing a button in order to show the respective text. Can I make it so that the value in the text field changes with the value of the rowselected in the pickerview, in real time? Any thoughts or code snippets would be appreciated. Thanks!

I know how to link it but once I get there I don't know how to distinguish what button was pressed.     Hello, I have a UITableView displaying an underlying NSFetchedResultsController. When the fetchedResultsController is updated, - (void)controller:(NSFetchedResultsController *)controller didChangeObject:(id)anObject atIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath forChangeType:(NSFetchedResultsChangeType)type newIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)newIndexPath { is called. And the following is executed: case NSFetchedResultsChangeInsert: [tableView insertRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:shiftedIndexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; break; The cellForRowAtIndexPath is only called for the new line (which is logical) The problem is however that all the values displayed in the rows of the table view are shifted down. The first row displays its title. The second rows displays the first row's title. The third row the second row's title etc. If I repeat that, the third row will display the second's row title, the fourth the third row's title etc. I don't understand what can happen, especially because cellForRowAtIndexPath is only called for the new line (which is logical) and not for all these lines. Additionally, if I click on these lines which have the wrong title, it opens the right document (didSelectRowAtIndexPath works correctly with the indexPath) Any clue of what could happen? Thanks!
