    Hi. I am working on a android project and I need to connect the gPhone with the PC using UDP socket. The same operation, sending a message to from gPhone to the PC, returns different results in different time: Sometimes succeeded and sometimes throws a SocketExcepton(The system call was cancelled). Can anyone tell me what possibly results in this SocketException? Thanks in advance!

    I'm looking for a minimalist template system for javascript, ala John Resig's Javascript Micro Templating. The smaller the better, and if it's jquery based even better. Recommendations? I tried John's micro-templating but ran into a few issues, wanted to see if there are more baked / better packaged solutions out there. [Update] I tried Resig's Micro Templating again and it's working well for me. Would still like to hear about other alternatives if there are any.

    Is there any cost/drawback (apart from typing too much) to adorning a class with System.Runtime.Serialization attributes (like [DataContract]) such that it can be used locally as a direct reference to a desktop Client project or as a type for a WCF service? The goal here is to write a data-tier class that can be used in both rich client (WPF) and Web scenarios. My data classes will be in a project that is separate from Client and WCF (*.svc code-behind) code. Is this a valid attempt to reuse code?

    My C# application throws a System.IO.IOExcepton (The directory name is invalid) for the following code for implementing a filewatcher: public void OnChanged(object source, FileSystemEventArgs e) { DirectoryInfo dList = new DirectoryInfo(e.FullPath); FileInfo[] TxtFiles = dList.GetFiles("*.TXT"); } e.FullPath is "C:/Documents and Settings/Bi/Application Data/TestApp/Reports\\0MA01P62240_000005798_TRI_4947712701738551.TXT". If you notice it seems to append a "\\" to the path when it tracks the file. Any idea what the problem may be?

Basically I would like to -have all files encrypted locally before sending to the server. the server should never receive any file or data unencrypted. -Every other feature should work pretty much the same way as SVN or CVS does today.   • Why is System.arraycopy native in Java?

    I was surprised to see in the Java source that System.arraycopy is a native method. Of course the reason is because it's faster. But what native tricks is the code able to employ that make it faster? Why not just loop over the original array and copy each pointer to the new array - surely this isn't that slow and cumbersome?   • System.Diagnostics.Process.Start not work with IIS, but on ASP.NET Development Server

    I am using VS2008 C# and testing on my local XP Pro PC with local IIS, I have wrote a web service to call a third party software .exe file to use svn checkout commands to insert data into a folder, which use System.Diagnostics.Process.Start . The same codes did work when I use VS2008 build-in ASP.NET Development Server(http://localhost:2999/MyServices/MyServices.asmx). but when I use IIS normal URL(http://developer/MyServices/MyServices.asmx) to run Process.Start on the web service, it just haunlted and not doing anything.plz send one sample program.
