  • Backup XAMPP (Htdocs & MySQL)

    I have a development server, but would like to backup everything at least daily to a remote location. I would like to backup the htdocs folder and the MySQL servers. But if possible also the settings of the server and anything else relevant. At the moment I am using DropBox for the htdocs, but this is not ideal. I have looked into Git, DropBox simple copy paste on a daily basis. I was wondering what any advice would be. For example how hard would it be to set it up as a cloud based system? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hello, I am thinking about buying a new server based development box for development (redundantly redundant, I know ;)). Ideally, I want to run something like ESXi or Xen Hypervisor at the lowest level. Then I want to add (at least) 5 Linux VM's for the following uses: 2 Web Servers 2 Application Servers 1 Database Server I want to load balance the 2 web servers and the 2 application servers and (somewhat obviously) they need to be all networked together to simulate a production environment. Also, it used to be the case that the recommendation was to put each VM on it's own hard drive, but I'm not sure that holds water anymore. Any advice? Does anyone have any advice on how to pull this off? Gotchya's, LookOuts!, etc? Thanks!

I need the toolbar to remain visible. I have seen other apps display the email composer without hiding a toolbar but I can't figure out how they did so. I am new to iphone development. I realize that this won't actually change the content of the video, but it's necessary for the video to be verified by an external tool. Does anyone know of a tool that will allow me to do this?     I'm writing a tool called XP-More, which should help manage Windows 7 Virtual Machines. The first thing the tool has to do when launched is find the VM folder. However, turns out that folder is not listed as a Windows Special Folder. I use a workaround, but it's unreliable. Ideally, Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.VMFolder) or so would have done the job, but VMFolder is a fiction of my imagination. Is there any real way to get that folder?

When the new auto-select block selection tool is used to select text, and the block is resized from the side, it makes my javascript freak out.
