    Givens: disk is cheap, and there's plenty lying around on various computers around the corporate intranet redundant contiguous large storage volumes are expensive Problem: It would be fantastic to have a single entry point (drive letter, network path) that presents all this space as one contiguous filesystem, effectively abstracting the disk and network architecture from the paths presented to users. Does anyone know how to implement such a solution? I'm open to Windows and non-windows solutions, free and proprietary.

    Hi all, I came cross a question in my interview. Question: Array of integers will be given as the input and you should find out the middle element when sorted , but without sorting. For Example. Input: 1,3,5,4,2 Output: 3 When you sort the given input array, it will be 1,2,3,4,5 where middle element is 3. You should find this in one pass without sorting. Any solutions for this?

    Hi What are the possible ways of representing data in memory in .Net (or in general)? It would be great if data could be sorted and looked up by key (or multiple keys). We are thinking to use collections, arrays, list of collections/arrays. One object would be in several collections (one sorted asc, other desc, etc.).     I would like to get the absolute position of an element in relation to the window/root element when it is double clicked. The element's relative position within it's parent is all I can seem to get to, and what I'm trying to get to is the point relative to the window. I've seen solutions of how to get a the point of an element on the screen, but not in the window.

  • From the parent, force an iFrame to redirect the entire page

    My site has an iFrame that displays content from and second site. I don't control the second site. When a user clicks on a link in the iFrame, I want it to redirect the entire page, not just the iFrame. I've seen solutions for doing this from the iFrame, but I need to do it solely from the parent. I'd prefer to do it in the code behind, but a javascript solution would be acceptable.

  • Comparison of IPEndPoint objects not working

    I have an IPEndPoint a and b, whose IPAddress and Port are exactly the same, but the == operator is on the IPEndPoint not returning true. To make things even stranger, I tried to circumvent the problem by simply comparing the IPAddress and Port individually and it is STILL not returning true. Has anyone encountered this before? If so, I am all ears to performant solutions. We have collections of as many as 10k IPEndPoints and are querying into them via LINQ (PLINQ pretty soon).

Oh my I'm on a project which have multiple countries, brands, components layers and each time I will add a file you want me to "Add as Link" ? This is a nightmare maintenance ! Is there any other solutions ?

    Hi all, In considering several possible solutions to a recent task, I found myself considering how to get a php file that includes it's own MD5 hash. I ended up doing something else, but the question stayed with me. Something along the lines of: <?php echo("Hello, my MD5 is [MD5 OF THIS FILE HERE]"); ?> Whatever placeholder you have in the file, the second you take its MD5 and insert it, you've changed it.
