  • real time plotting on iPhone using core plot?

    I want to use core-plot for drawing line graph dynamically. data won't come at a time, we will be receiving point by point dynamically. Is it possible to draw the chart dynamically using core-plot i.e drawing point by point as on when we receive the (x,y) point? Please help me, Thanks.

some garbage(?), however the end contains the the lock which seems be holding the main thread. Can I trust this stack trace? If not, what can cause this and how I can avoid it? Any ideas about the dead lock based on this stack trace? I don't quite understand how creating a datamodule can dead lock.. I'm using Delphi 2007.

  • Why does my sharepoint web part event handler lose the sender value on postback?

    I have a web part which is going to be a part of pair of connected web parts. For simplicity, I am just describing the consumer web part. This web part has 10 link buttons on it. And they are rendered in the Render method instead ofCreateChildControls as this webpart will be receiving values based on input from the provider web part. Each Link Button has a text which is decided dynamically based on the input from provider web part. When I click on any of the Link Buttons, the event handler is triggered but the text on the Link Button shows up as the one set in CreateChildControls. When I trace the code, I see that the CreateChildControls gets called before the event handler (and i think that resets my Link Buttons). How do I get the event handler to show me the dynamic text instead?     I want the label of one of my axis to be two words, each aligned to the beginning and end of said axis - I've been doing this by inserting spaces in the Axis label, but it's a crappy solution. Is there a way to align label text for a JFreeChart chart? Thanks for any replies!

    Does anyone know if I can hack google's visualization ColumnChart api chart somehow, to make a single column stand out with a different color, like so: I know you can do it with ImageChart, so I don't need that (it fires no events and has no x/y labels). Can I traverse the result with javascript somehow and change the CSS style, if it is truly rendered in SVG?

  • Can one instance of a WCF service pass work on to another instance where this 2nd instance would rep

    Let's say I have 2 instances of the same web services. Is there a way that I can have the second instance of the web service perform a task at the behest of the first instance of the WCF service and reply directly to the original requester? I could code this and include logic in WCF-A to contact WCF-B under the right conditions and then passback the result, but returning to the requester directly from WCF-B would be easier. Also, I made a handy dandy chart.

  • Dependency Properties and Data Context in Silverlight 3

    Hello, I am working with Silverlight 3 beta, and am having an issue. I have a page that has a user control that I worte on it. The user control has a dependency property on it. If the user control does not define a data context (hence using the parent's data context), all works well. But if the user control has its own data context, the dependency property's OnPropertyChanged method never gets called.   • MySql multiple selects batching in .net

    I have a situation in my application. For each x-axis point in my chart, I am plotting 5 y-axis values. To calculate each of these 5 values, I need to make 4 different queries. Ie, for each x-axis point I need to fire 20 sql queries. Now, I need to plot 40 such points in the my chart. Its resulting in a pathetic performance where it takes close to a minute to get all the data back from the database. Each of 4 different queries consists of a join between 2 tables. One has only 6 rows. The other close to 10,000. Each of the 4 queries has different WHERE clauses, so they are different queries. For each point in the x-axis, only the values for the where clauses change. I have tried combining each of the 4 queries into one big string. Basically batch the four selects. These are again batched for each y-axis value. So, for each x-axis point, I am now firing one big command that consists of 20 different select statements. Technically, I should be experiencing a big performance boost, right? Instead of hitting the db 40x5x4 = 800 times, I am now hitting it just 40 times. But instead of taking 60 seconds, it taking 50-55 seconds... not much of a help. I am using MySql 5.1, and the 6.1 version of its .Net connector. What can I do to improve the performance? Edit: One of the 4 queries is as follows: SELECT SUM(TIME_TO_SEC(TIMEDIFF(T1.col2, T1.col1))* T2.col1 / (3600 *1000)) AS TotalTime FROM Table T1 JOIN Table T2 ON T1.col3 = T2.col3 WHERE T1.col4 = 'i' AND T1.col1 >= '2009-12-25 00:00:00' AND T1.col2 <= '2009-12-26 00:00:00'; The other 3 queries are similar, only the where clause changes slightly. This set of 4 queries is fired 5 times. The first 3 times against the join of table T1 and T2, passing in different values for col4. And the next two times against the join of table T3 and T2 passing in different values for col4. These 5 values are the y-axis values for a particular x-axis point. The data returned by all these queries is the same format. so, we tried doing a UNION ALL on all these queries. No substantial difference. One strange thing, however, after indexing the foreign key on the table T1 [while it contained over a lakh records], the queries were using the index, but they had become slower. At times, the queries would take double the time to return the data.

  • how to visualise/debug an imagemap?

    I'm dynamically generating an imagemap for a chart tool I have. I was hoping to be able to set a border or color on the area tags so I could check everything was being generated with the right coords, but a little research shows this is not possible. So whats the easiest way to check my image map is correct? Are there any browser tools which will "visualise" the areas?

  • ObjectContext.SaveChanges() fails with SQL CE

    I am creating a model-first Entity Framework 4 app that uses SQL CE as its data store. All is well until I call ObjectContext.SaveChanges() to save changes to the entities in the model. At that point, SaveChanges() throws a System.Data.UpdateException, with an inner exception message that reads as follows: Server-generated keys and server-generated values are not supported by SQL Server Compact. I am completely puzzled by this message. Any idea what is going on and how to fix it? Thanks.     I have an ASP.NET chart of which the Y value is calculated based on the highest Y value point. The issue I have is if there are no Y points which exceed 0 then I can't get any labels to display.     I'm sitting down to write a massive switch() statement to turn SQL datatypes into CLR datatypes in order to generate classes from MSSQL stored procedures. I'm using this chart as a reference. Before I get too far into what will probably take all day and be a huge pain to fully test, I'd like to call out to the SO community to see if anyone else has already written or found something in C# to accomplish this seemingly common and assuredly tedious task.

When I have a Right to Left language string which contains more the one word the JSON encodes it backwards (For example: "Hello world" is encoded as "world hello"). The string is extracted from a database, there for can be of any language. How do I force the correct encoding of Right to Left language without ruining other languages? Thanks

  • Flex3 Linechart points are too close to the edge

    I have a Flex3 LineChart component using an CircleItemRenderer and the datapoints are being cut off because they are too close to the edge. Here's what it looks like: http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/3850/chartx.png As you can see, the circles on the left and right sides are being cut off. How can I make the LineSeries area, plus the horizontal labels, narrower so it fits in the chart area? Thanks!
