    You may well be an expert now working with "Application X"... However the hair pulling was so much that you'd never add it to your resume (even though it might sound impressive) for fear that a future employer might think your the ideal candidate to "migrate", "integrate" or otherwise work with "Application X". Feel free to elaborate on why... (e.g. their APIs change monthly, there is/was no API, etc.) (made into a community wiki)

  • mysql_connect randomly hangs up

    I install php 5 (more precisely 5.3.1) as apache module. After this one of my application becomes randomly hang up on mysql_connect - sometimes works, sometimes no, sometimes reload of page helps. How can this be fixed? I use Windows Vista, Apache/2.2.14 (Win32) PHP/5.3.1 with php module, MySql 5.0.67-community-nt.

    What are the pros and cons between using the ASP.Net control compared to the old reliable table html implementation. I know that the asp:Table will end up on the returned page as a html table, and from looking into it so far people are saying its easier to work with the asp:Table in the server side code, but I'd love to hear what the stackoverflow community has to say about the matter.

The error message that comes up is as follows : Warning: fileowner() [function.fileowner]: stat failed for temporary://upd92FE.tmp in update_manager_local_transfers_allowed() (line 924 of C:\inetpub\wwwroot\drupal\modules\update\update.manager.inc). SASS+HAML seem to be quite popular, but, do those outside of the Ruby/Rails community generally use these as well, or do they opt for other solutions?
