• Data mining google's web search results?

  Currently, i have a google web search. If a user searches starbucks, I would only want to retrieve the company or product information, not some other weird links like blog pages, using javascript, is it possible to do so? if yes, how am i able to do it?   Hello, sorry, it's not exactly a programming question, but I am currently in a research state and looking for similar projects, so I could analyze them: It should be application to iPhone or Android or other mobile platform, where, basically, user can access map with "places of interest" and add it's own "place of interest" (with photo and description). Kind of, community generated sightseeing map. I know it is quite simple and not a groundbreaking idea, but my google-fu is quite weak and I can't find anything like that.

• How to find the ocean using Google Maps API

  I am trying to figure out where the ocean is in an arbitrary Google Maps view. I actually have the lat lon (a range of points, when joined together form the coastline) of the coastline. But how do I tell which side of this line is the coastline? One possible solution would be to find the latlon of the nearest service or town or business or something, and then the ocean is obviously on the other side (given a small enough enclosing polygon). Is there a better way?

  I'm having some issues trying to pull a shared contact using the gdata api for python that Google provides. Here is what I have to get the contacts.. but they are not all listed there feed = gd_client.GetContactsFeed() for i, entry in enumerate(feed.entry): print entry.title I can't figure out how to pull out a single contact so I can edit the contact information.. thanks!
