• Netbook for DOTNET Development

  I'm looking for a netbook to do some dotnet development. Is there a recommended brand/configuration. I'm looking for reasonably good performance. Here are some of my requirements: Win 7 ultimate MS Office VS 2008 and VS 2010 when it's out CodeRush good size keyboard without having to do a Fn+Key for Insert, Home, End and Del keys Preferably Core 2 Duo Decent battery life P.S. The config of the netbook handed out at PDC seems pretty awesome.

• In Flex,how to catch input from card Reader without affecting from other key inputs?

  Need to create a application which reads input from card reader. Input coming from card reader as strings which is similar to the keyboard event. In flex,I can catch this string by listening key event. Problem is that when someone presses key while swiping a card from card reader. Both will be appended in the input. How can i resolve this?   Seems Adobe ignores strong movement now towards the productive programming. E.g. flash builder ide lacks keyboard shortcuts that are very useful in eclipse. If code templates, extract method, extract local variables are covered by some not-free plugins (and not cheap) like source mate, expanding selection to enclosing element I cannot find how to enable. Maybe you guys know some plugins doing that? Usually in eclipse it is Alt Shift Up to select enclosing block.

• Hotkey for double-click highlight?

  I'm working in Eclipse and find myself always replacing multiple copies of the same word, but I always have to take my hands off the keyboard and screen to get the mouse, hover over the word, double click to select, and then copy or rewrite the word. Is there any way I can just move the cursor inside the word and hit some hotkey that would highlight it? Seems like this would be a big timesaver. Or if there's a way to create a hotkey that would be perfect too.

  I'm reading through this computer science book and throughout the book I see a number of things written like so: and then there's this: and then this: What kind of notation is the "Boolean Expression" in example 1 written in? I've never seen anything like it before and I'm tempted to assume that whoever wrote and/or scanned this book in fell asleep at the keyboard, and assuming that it's even valid, what about the 3rd example? • Hotkeys no longer work in Visual C# 2010 Express

  Suddenly none of hotkeys in C# Express work (like F5, F6 etc.). I don't know what I've done, but no doubt its something stupid. Does anyone know how to fixed this? I have tried the Keyboard settings in Options, but it won;t even let me add hotkeys for some reason, even once I've removed the old ones. So re-adding them does not work.
