• Adding a UINavigationController to a UITabBarController

  I have a set of 10 navigationViewControllers i want to the UITabBarController this all just works fine except the fact when i want to see a UINavigationController that is in the "more" tab it doesn't switch to it. it does nothing. if i change that to a UIViewController it just works fine .. ok in the more tab you automatically have a UINavigationController to you disposal but if the user switches the tab's order and its not anymore in the "more" tab you don't have a UINavigationController .. any tips ?

Following are the things I have in mind: 1) use high level scripting language like python or perl instead of shell script for a more comprehensive functionality and error handling 2) check that the file exists at the destination after FTP 3) check destination file size.   Hi, I have some trouble setting up Tramp with EmacsW32 and cygwin. I have configured emacs to use cygwin as shell using w32shell. I also set the HOME enviromental variable to c:/cygwin/home/myusername Problem is that tramp seems to hang and that no connection is made: "Tramp waiting for prompts for the new shell". I have tried to turn on debugging, but still only see this message. Looking forward to get some tips on this. Thank you.

• Octave: importing a large matrix in csv format

  I'm trying to import a matrix (about 80.000 rows) from a csv file to Octave. The obvious solution seems something like: load("-ascii","relative_directory/the_file.csv") or maybe renaming the file and trying: load("-ascii", "relative_directory/the_file.txt") Yet I keep getting the error: load: failed to read matrix from file "relative_directory/the_file.csv" or .txt without anymore details. Any tips are appreciated.

  Okay. I have completed my first python program.It has around 1000 lines of code. During development I placed plenty of print stmt before running a command using os.system() say something like, print "running command",cmd os.system(cmd) Now I have completed the program.I thought about commenting them but redirecting all these unnecessary print (i can't remove all print stmt- since some provide useful info for user) into a log file will be more useful? Any tricks or tips.

  Does anyone know of a .NET API (source-code is preferrable of course) that I can access all the common chat clients thru it (GT, Yahoo, MSN, AIM, FB, ICQ, SKYPE and more)?   I have a .net 4 application that uses a Com Dll to send SMS messages. I used TlbImp to create the interop assembly and that is what is referenced in the application. When I try to create an instance of this class, it takes a really long time (2-5 seconds). I ran performance profile in VS 2010 and the call that takes the longest by far is System.Activator.CreateInstance(). I am looking for tips on how to debug or gotchas with using Com Interop.

  Hi, Recently I had some issues with Flash in IE, involving a SWF which is something like a gallery. In Firefox its loads perfectly, but in IE it doesn't work properly sometimes. The first time it is loaded its works fine but when I refresh all the images are blank. The image data came from XML. I wish to get some tips regarding the browsers and Flash / SWF behavior in each.
