    My "task" database table look like this: [title] [content] [start_date] [end_date] [...] [...] [01.06.2010 20:10:36] [06.06.2010 20:10:36] [...] [...] [05.06.2010 20:10:36] [06.06.2010 20:10:36] And I want to find only those records that meet the condition that a given day is between start_date and end_date. I've tried the following SQL expression: SELECT * FROM task WHERE strftime ('%d', 'start_date') <= @day AND @day <= strftime ('%d', 'end_date') Where @day is an SQLiteParameter (eq 5). But no result is returned. How can I solve this problem? Thanks.

    Hi, I currently have an array, created from a database, an example of which looks like the following: Array( [0] => Array ( objectid => 2, name => title, value => apple ), [1] => Array ( objectid => 2, name => colour, value => red ), [2] => Array ( objectid => 3, name => title, value => pear ), [3] => Array ( objectid => 3, name => colour, value => green ) ) What I would like to do is group all the items in the array by their objectid, and convert the 'name' values into keys and 'value' values into values of an associative array....like below: Array ( [0] => Array ( objectid => 2, title => apple, colour => red ), [1] => Array ( objectid => 3, title => pear, colour => green ) ) I've tried a few things but haven't really got anywhere..     I would like to have a FORTRAN write statement formatted to depend on some variable. For example, I could write: write(*,'(3f15.3,3f9.2)') x,y,z,(var(i),i=1,nvari) where nvari = 3 But, what if, in some cases, I actually have 4 variables (i.e. nvari = 4) I would like to write something like this: write(*,'(3f15.3,nvari(f9.2))') x,y,z,(var(i),i=1,nvari) Now, nvari can be anything and the output will work as I like. How can I make something like this work?

    i cant for the life of me figure out how to change the date from default mm/dd/yyyy to the european dd/mm/yyyy the manual states to use: $.datepicker.formatDate('yy-mm-dd', new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 26)); so far i have: $('#next_date').datepicker(); which shows the calendar fine but im not sure where the first line of code goes. this for example disables the calendar, nothing shows up, no js errors reported $('#next_date').datepicker.formatDate('yy-mm-dd', new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 26));

    My problem is the page shows a vertical line of options. I want to put them into a 4 column table to display instead of just down lhs of page.   • routing mvc on the web

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone could possibly provide me some advice on how i could improve the routing (and/or architecture) to each 'section' of my application. (I'm writing in PHP5, and trying to use strict MVC) Basically, I have a generic index page for the app, and that will spew out boilerplate stuff like jquery and the css etc. and it also generates the main navidation for the entire site, but i'm unsure about the best approach to connect the 'main menu' items(hyperlinks) with their associated controllers. Up until now I have been appending strings into the url and using a 'switch' statement to branch to the correct controller(and view) by extracting the strings back out of '$GET[]' to let it execute the code for the corrosponding action. for instance if i had a basic crud system for customer data, the url to edit a customers details would look like 'www.example.com/index.php?page=customer&action=edit&id=4'. I'm worried that there is a security concern by doing it this way, and i'm not sure of an alternative to branch the main 'index.php' file to the correct controller for each action once the user has clicked the link. Would it be better to use mod_rewrite to disguise the controllers names? or to create a similar system to the ASP MVC framework, where there is a seperate routing system where each url is filtered to get the associated controller?     Good Day, I am creating a report with Reporting Services and am using several text boxes horizontally aligned next to each other. I would like to put periods so that report looks like: 1234 Robert Jones................... (234) 921-4922 1235 Jennifer Wilson................ (919) 582-2914 Is this possible to right-pad the text box with periods, or would I need to roll out some code to accomplish the above effect.   • Determining Excel spreadsheet format before Data Flow Task

    I'm working on an SSIS package which uses a for each loop to iterate through excel files in a directory and a data flow task to import them. The issue I'm having is that the project manager I'm working with doesn't think the users will always follow the structure. So if a file is in the folder and the package tries to import it but the spreadsheet is missing columns or has extra columns it generates and error of course. Even though I have the task set to not fail the package; the package does indeed fail and then the other files aren't imported. So, I'm wondering what is the easiest way to either determine the spreadsheet is incorrectly formatted, or stop the error from failing the package execution? After taking said step I would just use a file copy task to move the file to a "Failure" folder. Then continue on processing the spreadsheets.

  • erlang io:format, and a hanging web application

    While I'm learning a new language, I'll typically put lots of silly println's to see what values are where at specific times. It usually suffices because the languages typically have available a tostring equivalent. In trying that same approach with erlang, my webapp just "hangs" when there's a value attempted to be printed that's not a list. This happens when variable being printed is a tuple instead of a list. There's no error, exception, nothing... just doesn't respond. Now, I'm muddling through by being careful about what I'm writing out and as I learn more, things are getting better. But I wonder, is there a way to more reliably to [blindly] print a value to stdout? Thanks, --tim

    MySQL stores the date in my database (by default) as 'YYYY-MM-DD' The field type for my date is 'DATE' (I do not need any time storage).. Is there a simple way to change it by default to DD/MM/YYYY ? I call up different dates in 2 different tables, and no where in any of my code do I have anything resembling a date variable or anything! Hopefully this is a straight forward change?

    so I'm trying to get some info in the auto-complete widget like it's shown in the JQuery UI demo Demo, the only problem is they use a variable that they fill with the data they want to show, I instead want to access the data and the different description and stuff using a Data Base in MySQL, for this I have changed the source to use another php page that looks up the info. here is the code for the Auto-complete, I really don't understand the methods so I haven't changed it from the basic search.   • Using windows CopyFile function to copy all files with certain name format

I am updating some C code that copys files with a certain name. basically, I have a directory with a bunch of files named like so: AAAAA.1.XYZ AAAAA.2.ZYX AAAAA.3.YZX BBBBB.1.XYZ BBBBB.2.ZYX Now, In the old code, they just used a call to ShellExecute and used xcopy.exe. to get all the files starting with AAAAA, they just gave xcopy the name of the file as AAAAA.* and it knew to copy all of the files starting with AAAAA. now, im trying to get it to copy with out having to use the command line, and I am running into trouble. I was hoping CopyFile would be smart enough to handle AAAAA.* as the file to be copied, but it doesnt at all do what xcopy did. So, any Ideas on how to do this without the external call to xcopy.exe?
