    Hello, I have a Category, a Subcategory and a Product model. I have: Category has_many Subcategories Subcategory has_many Products Subcategory belongs_to Category Product belongs_to Subcategory Is there a way to have something like Category has_many Projects through Subcategories ? The 'normal' rails way wouldn't work because "subcategory" doesn't belongs to product so product does not have a subcategory_id field. Instead, I need the query to be something like SELECT * FROM products WHERE id IN category.subcategory_ids Is there a way to do that? Thanks, Nicolás Hock Isaza

    I have a website with brandspace theme from pixelentity. Currently, the slider move from right to left ( auto transition) . But, when the slider reaches the last image, it will go back to the first image by making all previous images sliding back from left to right. I want to make the slider to have a normal transition,i.e. going back to first image but still with the image sliding from right to left. I used to list to store the value but its always storing only the single line , so is there is way to append all the rows and keep adding to single variable. Thanks so much for your help.

    I would like to change the default behavior of Wordpress regarding the number of articles displayed on a same page to be the following : when displaying the home page, the 10 most recent articles should be displayed, 10 being the setting which can be changed through the admin panel (posts_per_page) when displaying the articles of a specific month (given through the URL like this : ?m=200906&order=ASC, I'd like to display on the same page all articles of this month (in other words, I don't want to have to browse through articles using previous entries or next entries. EDIT : I forgot something else I'd like to change : On the page where all articles of the specified month are displayed, I would like to display the comments for each article. Is this possible to do ? How ?

  • Vim hanging after parsing .vimrc (even a blank one) file on Solaris 10

    Hello all, I am having a problem with vim 7.2 hanging (for about 10 seconds) after it parses the .vimrc file. I had a similar issue in the past with tcsh on linux, but it was resolved by setting TERM to xterm-color. The same does not resolve the issue here.   • 960 GridSystem, three grid_4 inside one grid_12

    I've created a 16 column layout with 960gs with a div class="grid_12" and after that a grid_4 (12+4...) Inside that grid_12 I wanted a three column style (3 grid_4). But the grid_4 boxes don't fit inside the grid_12, the last box drop into a second row. Shouldn't the 960gs framework be able to do this layout for me, have i missed anything?     Hi. i'm trying to built in support for locations in my application and i'm expecting users to be inputting gps coordinates in a variety of ways. I need to convert all of the below to: latitude - direction (N/s), degres, minutes, seconds; longitude (E/W) - degrees, minuts, seconds. Each user input will be in a single line. eg: 9.182, -39.140625 9.182 / -39.140625 9.182,-39.140625 9.182 -39.140625 21° 16' 674S[some_separator]27° 30' 318E 21 16 674S[some_separator]27 30 318E [some_separator] may be a single space as well... The final format needs to beas: latitude.direction = south latitude.degrees = 21 latitude.minutes = 16 latitude.seconds = 674 longitude.direction = east longitude.degrees = 27 longitude.minutes = 30 longitude.seconds = 318 (a) what is the simplest way of asking ordinary-non-tech users to input the GPS coordinate?s (b) how do i convert the above to the final format? any built in functions that handle these variations in data input? i've seen http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2548943/gps-format-in-php - but i need to handle a more varied input.

    Today I was bitten again by "Mutable default arguments" after many years. I just don't know the appropriate way to tie the two together (new to js and jQuery). The requirement is that the components are to be developed by other people and dynamically plugged into this wizard (Jetspeed reboot is okay). I would like to be able to define the components as portlets themselves who's content is rendered into the primary portlet. Has anybody ever done something like this?

  • Ajax problem after deleting a div, then creating a new one

    I'm building a custom CMS where you can add and delete clients using ajax and jquery 1.4.2. My problem lies after I delete a div. The ajax is used to complete this and refresh automatically.. But when I go to create a new div (without a hard refresh) it puts it back in the slot of the div I just deleted.     Hi, I currently have an array, created from a database, an example of which looks like the following: Array( [0] => Array ( objectid => 2, name => title, value => apple ), [1] => Array ( objectid => 2, name => colour, value => red ), [2] => Array ( objectid => 3, name => title, value => pear ), [3] => Array ( objectid => 3, name => colour, value => green ) ) What I would like to do is group all the items in the array by their objectid, and convert the 'name' values into keys and 'value' values into values of an associative array....like below: Array ( [0] => Array ( objectid => 2, title => apple, colour => red ), [1] => Array ( objectid => 3, title => pear, colour => green ) ) I've tried a few things but haven't really got anywhere..
