  Hi, I have a custom Control which contains the generic.xaml inside the Themes folder. I have set the build action to Resource. Now from App.xaml I am setting the reference to the DLL by using : xmlns:localFolder="clr-namespace:customControl;assembly=customControl" After the reference is set I am trying to Merge the Resource dictionary in my App.xaml as follow: <Application.Resources> <ResourceDictionary> <ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> <ResourceDictionary Source="localFolder;component/Themes/generic.xaml"/> </ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> </ResourceDictionary> </Application.Resources> But while running my application I am getting the following XAMLParseException: Attribute localFolder;component/Themes/generic.xaml value is out of range. • UrlHelper and ViewContext inside an Authorization Attribute

  I have a scenario that I haven't been able to solve: I'm toying around with creating my own custom authorization attribute for mvc. The main bit of functionality I would like to add is to have the ability to change where the user gets redirected if they are not in a certain role. I don't mind that the system sends them back to the login page if they're not authenticated, but I would like to choose where to send them if they are authenticated but not allowed to access that action method. Here's is what I would like to do: public class CustomAuthorizeAttribute : AuthorizeAttribute { public string Action; public string Controller; protected override bool AuthorizeCore(System.Web.HttpContextBase httpContext) { // if User is authenticated but not in the correct role string url = Url.Action(this.Action, this.Controller); httpContext.Response.Redirect(url); } } And as an added bonus I would like to have access to ViewContext and TempData before I do the redirect. • Why does Google Search Engine reject my title tag's change?

  I made a simple webpage http://pundaquitboat.michaelspages.com/ giving it the the title tag "Boat – Pundaquit" and I have submitted it to Google bot by Google Webmaster Tools. Then I decided to change the title to "Anawangin trip" of the same page and I submited my webpage again in the same way to Google bot. The result was that the new title of my webpage coexisted with the old title of the same webpage in SERPs for maybe 2 days. After that the new title was rejected and if I enter site:pundaquitboat.michaelspages.com/ I can see that Google has my old copy of my webpage with old title in its database. This problem doesn't occur in Bing when I can enjoy high position of "Anawangin trip" phrase. (In Bing I haven't submitted the old version of title.)

• WP7 silverlight custom control using popup

  Hi guys, I'm creating a custom datepicker, I have a textbox, once clicked it opens a calendar within a popup. What I want to do is change the size of the popup so it shows my whole calendar, but I can't manage to change it..., I've tried using Height, Width, MinHeight, MinWidth... but it doesn't work, the popup keep showing with a fixed size. The thing is that my popup's parent property isn't evaluated since it has expression issues (according to debugger), so I'm sure my popup's parent isn't the main screen( say layout grid). How can I for example make my popup open within a specific context ? • Custom Monitor Resolution not recognized by Java

  My weird monitor's native resolution isn't recognized by Windows, so I have to set a custom resolution for it. The problem is that java doesn't recognize it since it's not on Win7's "approved" list, so full-screen mode gets "stuck". Netbeans comes out of full-screen fine, so there has to be a way around this. Anyone know it? • Custom Rails actions: I have issues every time

  Every time I go to add a custom action to a controller, I completely screw it up somehow. I'm trying to add a route "listings/buyer_listings", that will display all of my listings where someone is a buyer (rather than a seller). With the routes.rb file below, when I go to "listings/buyer_listings", I get routed instead to "users" WTF? In the past, I've had to define my routes using "map.", but this seems like a very verbose way to do something that should work with the :collection specification. You can see that I've done this with many routes as specified toward the end of the file, such as "edit_my_profile", etc. If I put the ":collection" part last my browser routes to the "show" action, which is not the correct action, and which also doesn't make sense to me why it would even do this. If I do "rake routes", my routes look correctly mapped. If I go into a Ruby console and have it recognize the url, it maps to the correct action, so what am I missing? • Custom Class to store the properties and passing the class object across the pages - ASP.NEt

  Hello I've a requirement where i need to pass some objects across the pages. So i created a custom class with all the properties required and created a instance of it and assigned all the properties appropriately. I then put that object in the session and took it the other page. The problem is that even when i set the properties values to the class it is coming as null. I set a breakpoint in the getter-setter and saw that the value itself is coming as null.   I'm currently working on a project where we are using Wordpress 3.0 RC. The idea is to create custom post types with meta boxes to make the system easier to use for the client. Some of these posts need to have multiple files attached to them, and by attached I do not mean inserted to post but rather we'd like to keep them separate from the post body (in fact, a given post type might not even have text, only files). I'm wondering if there is a standard approach for allowing multiple files to be attached to a Wordpress post? I've managed to add a meta box that allows one file from the media library to be selected, but I have no idea how to extend this to allow an arbitrary number of files. Hope someone can help!

• Android spinner inside a custom control - OnItemSelectedListener does not trigger

  I am writing a custom control that extends LinearLayout. Inside that control I am using a spinner to let the user select an item from a list. The problem I have is that the OnItemSelectedListener event does not fire. When moving the same code to an Activity/Fragment all is working just fine. I have followed some answers that was given to others asking about the same issue, and nothing helped. still the event does not fire. This is my code after I followed the answers that suggested to put the spinner inside my layout XML instead of by code.   I've written code that can make a phone dial a number from a function call, that's done and dusted. What I would like to achieve is adding a Dial button to each phone number field on the forms in Dynamics CRM. Eventually this could also create a new phone record fill in the basic details and show it to the user to enter notes and an outcome for the phone call, and perhaps some other workflow bits to schedule the next call. Can I put a custom control on a standard form in place of the standard control. I'm assuming it would have to be an IFrame to an asp.net page, that pulls in the record id, and the field name, looks up the number to show in a text box, and passes the number to the DialNumber function. Hey presto... I assume its not going to be that easy... Has anyone tried this before, what's the process, what are the gotchas?

So Given a list of companies, each wrapped in an tag. When the cursor hovers over an tag Then a "pop-up" appears that contains an -based, dynamic content. Given the pop-up When the User clicks on the "submit" button in the pop-up Then the form (based on the framework" is submitted and ajax displays "request succesful" So, because I am using a php-framework, I'd like to use iframe to contain the form. Some challenges: When the cursor is no longer hovering over the tag, the hover disappears. How do I keep it operating? How do I make it appear in an so I can have full form-submission and POST-ing dynamic values through the URL? How do the "popup" disappear when the cursor is no longer on either the -tag or the pop-up itself? Can I do it without loading a bunch of 's onto the page, because the list of companies could be long.

  We are using a FormAssembly page to collect feedback - it's hosted within an IFrame on the side of our site's master page. The thing is, that some parts of our site are HTTPS - viewing and posting the form is ok in HTTPS, but the problem comes with the "thank you" page - we are using the configurable custom thank you page (configured within FormAssembly iteself). Is there are way we can send the desired response page up (perhaps via a hidden field within the posted form?) - this way we can send the HTTPS link for the HTTPS version of the form and the normal HTTP link for the HTTP form? Thanks!

• asp.net custom templated datalist - throws argument out of range (index) on button press

  I have a class BaseTemplate public abstract class BaseTemplate : ITemplate This adds the controls, and provides abstract methods to implement in the inheriting class. The inheriting class then adds its html according to its data source and manages the data binding. this all works fine - I get the control appearing with properly parsed html. the problem is that the base class adds controls into the template that have their own CommandName arguments ... the idea is that the class that implements the custom templated dataList will provide the logic of setting the Selected and Edit Indexes. This class also manages the data binding etc. It sets all of the templates ont he datalist in the Init method (which was another cause of this exception). the exception gets throw when i hit one of these buttons .. but after the ItemCommand event is being processed. The stack trace does not include any references to my methods or objects which is why i am so stuck. • Should I prevent search engines indexing tag/category pages?

  On my site, I currently have no special rules for search engines. It is a blog, statically generated using a Python program. When I search for some of my articles on Google, there is usually a tag or category page included in the results. Sometimes it even ranks ahead of the article itself. Obviously, as these links aren't always going to have the article on them, this aren't the results I want people to click on. So, I'm thinking of setting noindex on these pages. Is there any possible downside to doing so? Is this possible to do via robots.txt, or do I have to add it to all the relevant templates? All I can find for robots.txt are ways to stop the search engine crawling those pages, which isn't what I want - while I don't want them indexed, it's still the only surefire way to find all my blog posts.

  Hello, I'm trying to build my own custom control for a windows forms application in C#.Net. Currently I paint some rectangles and other graphic elements using the paint event. When I now resize the app form to fit the desktop size, all elements are repainted (which is exactly the behaviour I need) but the old one's are shown in the background.   I have a crystal report where it shows the Agent's activities throughout the day with a pie chart. In the details section it is displaying: Activity [string] StartedAt [DateTime] EndedAt [DateTime] Duration [The difference between EndedAt and StartedAt in seconds - Integer] Report data is GroupedBy Activity and summarized by Duration. Currently Duration is shown in seconds but I need to format it 02h:30m:22s:15ms. For that I wrote a custom function in Crystal Report in the Formula Workshop editor as follows, but it looks like the syntax is not right (Error message on keyword Long: "A variable type (for example, 'String') is missing."). Can someone help?
