• How to make UIImagePickerController works under switch case UIActionSheet

    - by Phy
    -(void)imagePickerController:(UIImagePickerController *)picker didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo:(NSDictionary *)info { UIImage *tempImage = [info objectForKey:UIImagePickerControllerOriginalImage]; imgview.image = tempImage; [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; [picker release]; } -(void)imagePickerControllerDidCancel:(UIImagePickerController *)picker { [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; [picker release]; } -(IBAction) calllib { img1 = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init]; img1.delegate = self; img1.sourceType = UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypePhotoLibrary; [self presentModalViewController:img1 animated:YES]; } all the codes above works well for taking out photos from the photo library. problem is that when i tried to use it under the UIActionSheet it does not work. i just copy the lines of codes from the -(IBAction) calllib as follow. (void)actionSheet:(UIActionSheet *)actionSheet clickedButtonAtIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex { UIImage *detectface = [Utilities detectFace:imgview.image]; UIImage *grayscale = [Utilities grayscaleImage:imgview.image]; UIImage *avatars = [Utilities avatars:imgview.image]; img1 = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init]; img1.delegate = self; img1.sourceType = UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypePhotoLibrary; switch (buttonIndex) { case 0: [self presentModalViewController:img1 animated:YES]; imgview.image = detectface; break; case 1: [self presentModalViewController:img1 animated:YES]; imgview.image = grayscale; break; case 2: [self presentModalViewController:img1 animated:YES]; imgview.image = avatars; break; default: break; } } it does not work. can somebody help me to figure out what is the problem? the switch case works perfectly without the [self presentModalViewController:img1 animated:YES]; ... thanks

  • Autmatically create table on MySQL server based on date?

    - by Anthony
    Is there an equivalent to cron for MySQL? I have a PHP script that queries a table based on the month and year, like: SELECT * FROM data_2010_1 What I have been doing until now is, every time the script executes it does a query for the table, and if it exists, does the work, if it doesn't it creates the table. I was wondering if I can just set something up on the MySQL server itself that will create the table (based on a default table) at the stroke of midnight on the first of the month. Update Based on the comments I've gotten, I'm thinking this isn't the best way to achieve my goal. So here's two more questions: If I have a table with thousands of rows added monthly, is this potentially a drag on resources? If so, what is the best way to partition this table, since the above is verboten? What are the potential problems with my home-grown method I originally thought up?

  • Is there a good date/time API available for Scala?

    - by Erik Engbrecht
    I'm looking for something akin to JodaTime or JSR 310 for Scala that leverages nice Scala features such as operator overloading and doesn't rely on implicit conversions (I have an irrational fear of implicit conversions). I'm aware of http://github.com/jorgeortiz85/scala-time, but it just pimps JodaTime with implicits.

  • How can I iterate over a collection of objects returned by a LINQ-to-XML query?

    - by billmaya
    I've got this XML: <BillingLog> <BillingItem> <date-and-time>2003-11-04</date-and-time> <application-name>Billing Service</application-name> <severity>Warning</severity> <process-id>123</process-id>
Timed out on a connection
<detail>Timed out after three retries.</detail> </BillingItem> <BillingItem> <date-and-time>2010-05-15</date-and-time> <application-name>Callback Service</application-name> <severity>Error</severity> <process-id>456</process-id>
Unable to process callback
<detail>Reconciliation timed out after two retries.</detail> </BillingItem> </BillingLog> That I want to project using LINQ-to-XML into a collection of BillingItem objects contained in a single BillingLog object. public class BillingLog { public IEnumerable<BillingItem> items { get; set; } } public class BillingItem { public string Date { get; set; } public string ApplicationName { get; set; } public string Severity { get; set; } public int ProcessId { get; set; } public string Description { get; set; } public string Detail { get; set;} } This is the LINQ query that I'm using to project the XML (which is contained in the string variable source). XDocument xdoc = XDocument.Parse(source); var log = from i in xdoc.Elements("BillingLog") select new BillingLog { items = from j in i.Descendants("BillingItem") select new BillingItem { Date = (string)j.Element("date-and-time"), ApplicationName = (string)j.Element("application-name"), Severity = (string)j.Element("severity"), ProcessId = (int)j.Element("process-id"), Description = (string)j.Element("description"), Detail = (string)j.Element("detail") } }; When I try and iterate over the objects in log using foreach. foreach (BillingItem item in log) { Console.WriteLine ("{0} | {1} | {2} | {3} | {4} | {5}", item.Date, item.ApplicationName, item.Severity, item.ProcessId.ToString(), item.Description, item.Detail); } I get the following error message from LINQPad. Cannot convert type 'UserQuery.BillingLog' to 'UserQuery.BillingItem' Thanks in advance.

  • How do I find out the expiry date of a SQL Server 2008 trial-install instance?

    - by Peter Mounce
    So I installed a trial of SQL Server 2008 enterprise edition while waiting for MSDN licenses to come through - I now want to uninstall the trial and replace it with a developer edition installation. However, I'd like to first know how long I have left on the trial. Is there a way to do this programmatically with SQL? I looked at create_date in sys.databases, but these give dates that are in 2003 (which is, I guess, when master and model were originally created).

  • Selecting a date value from a dynamically generated listbox.

    - by ziggy
    Hi All, I have a listbox whose values are generated dynamically. The list box contains months and years and when generated looks like this. Nov 09 Dec 09 Jan 10 Feb 10 Mar 10 Apr 10 May 10 Jun 10 Jul 10 Aug 10 Sep 10 Oct 10 The element in the listbox that is by default selected is the current month. When i use selenium IDE to select from this listbox it works fine. Here are example commands i use to select from the listbox.

select

arr_dtm_mon_year

label=Oct 10

select

arr_dtm_mon_year

label=May 10

Now the problem i have is the values in the listbox is dynamically generated. In the above example i selected the option for "May 10". The values that are generated is a list of all previous six months and a list of all future six months. This basically means that if i rerun the test 6 months from now "May 10" will not be available from the list. Is it possible to select the value dynamically. For example can i first calculate the current month and select the value with that is current month + 1 (i.e. next month). And also how can i build the value to be selected after i have determined what the next month is. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Do you know of a log4net appender which rolls on date, but let's you limit the total number of files

    - by Michal Drozdowicz
    Hi, I need to define an appender for log4net in a way that I get one log file for each day, but the total number of files are limited to, let's say, 30. That is I want to keep only the logs not older then 30 days, delete the older ones. I've tried doing it with RollingFileAppender, but it seems that specifying a limit of files to keep is not supported. Do you know of an alternative solution that I could use?

  • Is it a Good Practice to Add two Conditions when using a JOIN keyword?

    - by Raúl Roa
    I'd like to know if having to conditionals when using a JOIN keyword is a good practice. I'm trying to filter this resultset by date but I'm unable to get all the branches listed even if there's no expense or income for a date using a WHERE clause. Is there a better way of doing this, if so how? SELECT Branches.Name ,SUM(Expenses.Amount) AS Expenses ,SUM(Incomes.Amount) AS Incomes FROM Branches LEFT JOIN Expenses ON Branches.Id = Expenses.BranchId AND Expenses.Date = '3/11/2010' LEFT JOIN Incomes ON Branches.Id = Incomes.BranchId AND Incomes.Date = '3/11/2010' GROUP BY Branches.Name

  • Where can I find up-to-date information / walkthroughs on VS 2010 deployment?

    - by Kohan
    I am looking for information on deploying my web app to our test server. Having heard Hanselman say this is something you can do within VS 2010 easily I set out too find information on exactly how to do this but can not seem to find anything. Ignoring the fact that most of the blog posts / articles are over a year old, there just seems to be no clear step by step information on how to do this. Has anyone found the light? where did you learn this information? Best resources i have found so far:- http://blogs.msdn.com/b/webdevtools/archive/2009/02/04/web-deployment-with-vs-2010-and-iis.aspx http://blogs.msdn.com/b/webdevtools/archive/2009/03/10/how-does-web-deployment-with-vs10-and-msdeploy-work.aspx Many thanks, Kohan

  • Need some sort of "conditional grouping" in MySQL.

    - by serg555
    I have Article table: id | type | date ----------------------- 1 | A | 2010-01-01 2 | A | 2010-01-01 3 | B | 2010-01-01 Field type can be A, B or C. I need to run a report that would return how many articles of each type there is per every day, like this: date | count(type="A") | count(type="B") | count(type="C") ----------------------------------------------------- 2010-01-01 | 2 | 1 | 0 2010-01-02 | 5 | 6 | 7 Currently I am running 3 queries for every type and then manually merging the results select date, count(id) from article where type="A" group by date Is it possible to do this in one query? (in pure sql, no stored procedures or anything like that). Thanks

  • Filling cells with sequential numbers in an Excel (2003) macro

    - by Fred Hamilton
    I need to fill an excel column with a sequential series, in this case from -500 to 1000. I've got a macro to do it, but it takes a lot of lines for something that seems like it should be a single function [something like FillRange(A2:A1502, -500, 1000, 1)]. But if that function exists, I can't find it. Is the following as simple and elegant as it gets? 'Draw X axis scale Cells(1, 1).Value = "mV" Cells(2, 1).Value = -500 Cells(3, 1).Value = -499 Cells(4, 1).Value = -498 Dim selection1 As Range, selection2 As Range Set selection1 = Sheet1.Range("A2:A4") Set selection2 = Sheet1.Range("A2:A1502") selection1.AutoFill Destination:=selection2

  • How do I keep my DataService up to date with ObservableCollection?

    - by joebeazelman
    I have a class called CustomerService which simply reads a collection of customers from a file or creates one and passes it back to the Main Model View where it is turned into an ObservableCollection. What the best practice for making sure the items in the CustomerService and ObservableCollection are in sync. I'm guessing I could hookup the CustomerService object to respond to RaisePropertyChanged, but isn't this only for use with WPF controls? Is there a better way? using System; public class MainModelView { public MainModelView() { _customers = new ObservableCollection<CustomerViewModel>(new CustomerService().GetCustomers()); } public const string CustomersPropertyName = "Customers" private ObservableCollection<CustomerViewModel> _customers; public ObservableCollection<CustomerViewModel> Customers { get { return _customers; } set { if (_customers == value) { return; } var oldValue = _customers; _customers = value; // Update bindings and broadcast change using GalaSoft.MvvmLight.Messenging RaisePropertyChanged(CustomersPropertyName, oldValue, value, true); } } } public class CustomerService { ///
/// Load all persons from file on disk. ///
_customers = new List<CustomerViewModel> { new CustomerViewModel(new Customer("Bob", "" )), new CustomerViewModel(new Customer("Bob 2", "" )), new CustomerViewModel(new Customer("Bob 3", "" )), }; public IEnumerable<LinkViewModel> GetCustomers() { return _customers; } }
