• Set a custom start date for week numbers

  Outlook has the ability to show week numbers down the side of the calendar in monthly view, and on the mini-calendar: In options, you can set the first week of the year, but only to the following three options: This is all very nice, but at work our "year" starts on a different date to match up with accounting periods - it's currently week 37 rather than 45! I'd like Outlook to be able to tell me which week it is at work, so is there any way I can set a custom date to be the first week of the year?

• In terminal, merging multiple folders into one.

  I have a backup directory created by WDBackup (western digital external HD backup util) that contains a directory for each day that it backed up and the incremental contents of just what was backed up. So the hierarchy looks like this: 20100101 My Documents Letter1.doc My Music Best Songs Every First Songs.mp3 My song.mp3 # modified 20100101 20100102 My Documents Important Docs Taxes.doc My Music My Song.mp3 # modified 20100102 ...etc... Only what has changed is backed up and the first backup that was ever made contains all the files selected for backup. What I'm trying to do now is incrementally copy, while keeping the folder structure, from oldest to newest, each of these dated folders into a 'merged' folder so that it overrides the older content and keeps the new stuff. As an example, if just using these two example folders, the final merged folder would look like this: Merged My Documents Important Docs Taxes.doc Letter1.doc My Music Best Songs Every First Songs.mp3 My Song.mp3 # modified 20100102 Hope that makes sense. • URLs with query stripped of ampersands appearing in error logs

  I've noticed a curious phenomena popping up in my error logs recently. If, as the result of processing a form, I redirect my users to the URL http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=bar&bar=baz, I will see the following two URLs in my log http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=barbar=baz http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=bar&bar=baz The first one is obviously incorrect and will cause my application to redirect to a 404. It always appears first, usually a second before the second one. The 404 page is not doing the redirection, so it appears that the browser is trying both versions. At first, looking at my server logs made me believe it affected only Firefox 3.6.3, but I've found an example of Safari being afflicted as well. It happens fairly intermittently, though it can occur multiple times in a users' session. I've never been able to get it to happen to me. Any thoughts as to the nature of the problem or a solution?

  I'm compiling a simple program written in C and I'm using Eclipse as an IDE, both in Windows 7 and on my MacBook Pro. Very simple program my friend wrote and asked me to help him with: int a = 0; char b[2]; printf("Input first class info:\n"); printf("Credit Hours: \n"); scanf("%d", &a); printf("Letter Grade: "); scanf("%s", b); So when I run this on my mac, each line prints and when I encounter the scanf(), I can input and continue as expected. In Windows, I have to input everything and then it will print all the lines. I'm not sure why this is happening... what is the difference b/w Windows and Mac here? • How to remove one instance of one string in PHP?

  I have a open source editor on the cms that I am making that automatically inserts a <br /> tag at the beginning of the post it submits to the database. This makes validation a pain, since even though there is no real text being submitted, the form still accepts the break tag as input and prevents the "Please enter some text" error from showing. So I tried to remove the opening break tag by filtering my input like this: substr($_POST['content'], 6); This works as long as the user doesn't press the backspace a couple of times which removes the break tag in which case the first 8 characters of the post gets removed even if they are not a break tag. So how can I remove the first 6 characters of the input ONLY if those first 6 characters are composed of the break tag. Also I don't want to remove all break tags, only the one at the very beginning of the post.

• Need some help with onClick and an if/else issue...

  I have a menu with seven items. If you click the first item, div one shows. If you click any other item (2 through 7) div two shows. That's what I'm looking to do. I'm new at all this but am pretty sure it's an if/else function, such that if I click on <a id="1">, show the first div, else show the second div. I suppose I can do a hide/show to get back to the first div. I'm going to keep poking around, but if I can't find it, any help is surely appreciated.

We've noticed a single Cryptographic error in our logs that occurs whenever a page loading content from the first farm is accessed. Is there any reason to not give all of the servers in both farms the same machineKey settings?

Unfortunately I have built a hierarchy of views before noticing this line in the UIViewController documentation: Note: You should not use view controllers to manage views that fill only a part of their window My question is this: Having a very simple NIB that only has a UIView in addition to the default First Responder and Owning Object, what is the simplest way to load the UIView into my code? I have not been able to get loadNibNamed:owner:options: to work at this point, but suspect the answer will involve it somehow.

Should I resize Vista partition first to make room for linux installation, or should I upgrade first to Windows 7 and resize partitions after upgrade.

  Hy! Here is my problem: i have a profile and this profile has for example 100 images. When someone visit this profile the first image will be the first result of my query that sorts by updated_at. But if the user would want to put the image with the (id = 8) to be the first, then (id = 22) then (id = 88) and so on? I need to put another field or is really necessary a new table to make a custom sort on images? and maybe someone explain this to me how to do? thanks, i appreciate your help ;)

So there is a moment when I have many View Controllers and I need to come back to the first View Controller. • make reference to an empty query in flex

  a bit of a dumb questions I'm sure I'm trying to allow user to set an item to be default. I've got a function that run a query to first find the current default item. Then runs a second query that unsets the current default item. Then a third query runs to set the new user selected item to be the default. This seem to work fine when a default item has been perviously selected, but when I try to set the default item initially I get the good old "Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference." error. This is because the first query that runs returns no items I'm sure. So I need to write an if statement that if the first query returns nothing to skip the second and go right to the third. The only problem is I can't make a reference to a null object. So how do I go about writing this statement. Thanks

UPDATE, I now see that I kust need to convert the first 8 charecters from hex to decimal....which I can then convert to IP. the trick is to parse those first charecters from the field with SQL

  Hi, I'm using Visual Studio 2008 with the Boost v1.42.0 library. If I use an enum as the template argument, I get a compile error when adding a value using push_back(). The compiler error is: 'T': is not a legal base class and the location of the error is move.hpp line 79. #include <boost/interprocess/containers/vector.hpp> class Test { public: enum Types { Unknown = 0, First = 1, Second = 2, Third = 3 }; typedef boost::container::vector<Types> TypesVector; }; int main() { Test::TypesVector o; o.push_back(Test::First); return 0; } If I use a std::vector instead it works. And if I resize the Boost version first and then set the values using the [] operator it also works. Is there some way to make this work using push_back()?

• C# method generic params parameter bug?

  Hey, I appears to me as though there is a bug/inconsistency in the C# compiler. This works fine (first method gets called): public void SomeMethod(string message, object data); public void SomeMethod(string message, params object[] data); // .... SomeMethod("woohoo", item); Yet this causes "The call is ambiguous between the following methods" error: public void SomeMethod(string message, T data); public void SomeMethod(string message, params T[] data); // .... SomeMethod("woohoo", (T)item); I could just use the dump the first method entirely, but since this is a very performance sensitive library and the first method will be used about 75% of the time, I would rather not always wrap things in an array and instantiate an iterator to go over a foreach if there is only one item. Splitting into different named methods would be messy at best IMO. Thoughts?

You can see in first row 5 was 3rd column and in 2nd row it was input to make 2 (3rd column) I am looking for a solutin that if it pass 3 it return me (1,4,5) rows and same for other digits. Solution tip can be either in java or php because I just want to get data from a old project to make it work ! Thanks !

  I work on another guy's code, and I try to change the table cell background color when mouse over the cell, and change back to the original background color when mouse leave. I use the following code: var bgcolor=$(".cell-el").css("background-color") $(".cell-el").hover( function(){ $(this).css("background-color", "#3c3c36")}, //mouse enter, bg-color change function(){ $(this).css("background-color", bgcolor) // mouse leave, bg-color change back }) Things are working fine, EXCEPT that when mouse first time enter the cell, the cell background color is not changed to "#3c3c36", but when mouse leave the cell after first entering and enter in the cell again, the cell's background color changed to "#3c3c36". That's the cell color never change for mouse first enter, after that, everything is working great. What's could be the cause of this problem?
