• Telerik RadWindow does not fire ClientCallBackFunction after a ajax an __DoPostBack

  HI, I have a Telerik radwindow that allows our users to upload files. When the user first opens the radwindow and sees the upload fields, they can happily select a file and upload it. The window then returns the id of the uploaded file back to the parent page via the ClientCallBackFunction. This function then passes in the ID to a javascript function that calls __DoPostback so that we can populate the list of uploaded files. First time around it works a treat. However all subsequent times it fails to call ClientCallBackFunction unless i refresh the entire page. I also note that any other control on the parent page to uses an ajax postback also stops the ClientCallBackFunction begin called, even on the first time. any ideas? Thanks Richard

  Following are my Question regarding the LoadingRow event of the Datagrid When will it fires after the Row is bound to the data or after that. As if you debug the Silverlight application then of first execution if you type following code ((System.Windows.Controls.TextBlock)(((System.Windows.Controls.ContentControl)(((DataGridRow)e.Row).Cells[1])).Content)).Text if will return empty string but if your datagrid has scroll (which is in my case , my datagrid has scroll), if you scroll down then the LoadingRow firs again and this time it will return Text on that cell?? why it is not return text on first time and return on second time when i press the scroll bar ??? If I paste above code in the cs file then it will return error 'System.Windows.Controls.DataGridRow' does not contain a definition for 'Cells' and no extension method 'Cells' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Windows.Controls.DataGridRow' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) • How to export SSIS to Microsoft Excel without additional software?

  This question is long winded because I have been updating the question over a very long time trying to get SSIS to properly export Excel data. I managed to solve this issue, although not correctly. Aside from someone providing a correct answer, the solution listed in this question is not terrible. The only answer I found was to create a single row named range wide enough for my columns. In the named range put sample data and hide it. SSIS appends the data and reads metadata from the single row (that is close enough for it to drop stuff in it). The data takes the format of the hidden single row. This allows headers, etc. WOW what a pain in the butt. It will take over 450 days of exports to recover the time lost. However, I still love SSIS and will continue to use it because it is still way better than Filemaker LOL. My next attempt will be doing the same thing in the report server. Original question notes: If you are in Sql Server Integrations Services designer and want to export data to an Excel file starting on something other than the first line, lets say the forth line, how do you specify this? I tried going in to the Excel Destination of the Data Flow, changed the AccessMode to OpenRowSet from Variable, then set the variable to "YPlatters$A4:I20000" This fails saying it cannot find the sheet. The sheet is called YPlatters. I thought you could specify (Sheet$)(Starting Cell):(Ending Cell)? Update Apparently in Excel you can select a set of cells and name them with the name box. This allows you to select the name instead of the sheet without the $ dollar sign. Oddly enough, whatever the range you specify, it appends the data to the next row after the range. Oddly, as you add data, it increases the named selection's row count. Another odd thing is the data takes the format of the last line of the range specified. My header rows are bold. If I specify a range that ends with the header row, the data appends to the row below, and makes all the entries bold. if you specify one row lower, it puts a blank line between the header row and the data, but the data is not bold. Another update No matter what I try, SSIS samples the "first row" of the file and sets the metadata according to what it finds. However, if you have sample data that has a value of zero but is formatted as the first row, it treats that column as text and inserts numeric values with a single quote in front ('123.34). I also tried headers that do not reflect the data types of the columns. I tried changing the metadata of the Excel destination, but it always changes it back when I run the project, then fails saying it will truncate data. If I tell it to ignore errors, it imports everything except that column. Several days of several hours a piece later... Another update I tried every combination. A mostly working example is to create the named range starting with the column headers. Format your column headers as you want the data to look as the data takes on this format. In my example, these exist from A4 to E4, which is my defined range. SSIS appends to the row after the defined range, so defining A4 to E68 appends the rows starting at A69. You define the Connection as having the first row contains the field names. It takes on the metadata of the header row, oddly, not the second row, and it guesses at the data type, not the formatted data type of the column, i.e., headers are text, so all my metadata is text. If your headers are bold, so is all of your data. I even tried making a sample data row without success... I don't think anyone actually uses Excel with the default MS SSIS export. If you could define the "insert range" (A5 to E5) with no header row and format those columns (currency, not bold, etc.) without it skipping a row in Excel, this would be very helpful. From what I gather, noone uses SSIS to export Excel without a third party connection manager. Any ideas on how to set this up properly so that data is formatted correctly, i.e., the metadata read from Excel is proper to the real data, and formatting inherits from the first row of data, not the headers in Excel? One last update (July 17, 2009) I got this to work very well. One thing I added to Excel was the IMEX=1 in the Excel connection string: "Excel 8.0;HDR=Yes;IMEX=1". This forces Excel (I think) to look at all rows to see what kind of data is in it. Generally, this does not drop information, say for instance if you have a zip code then about 9 rows down you have a zip+4, Excel without this blanks that field entirely without error. With IMEX=1, it recognizes that Zip is actually a character field instead of numeric. And of course, one more update (August 27, 2009) The IMEX=1 will succeed importing data with missing contents in the first 8 rows, but it will fail exporting data where no data exists. So, have it on your import connection string, but not your export Excel connection string. I have to say, after so much fiddling, it works pretty well.

• WPF Datagrid -DataGridTemplateColumn tab focus issue

  I am using Microsoft WPF datagrid. I have noticed a strange behavior with WPF datagrid DataGridTemplateColumn. When you use the templateColumn in the grid and the template column contains some controls when you tab from the previous column the focus is not automatically given to the first element declared in the template column. The foucs is initally set on the border of the template column and when we tab of once agin the focus goes to the first column. Any workaround for this issue. How can i set the focus to go the first element in the template column of the datagrid when i tab off.

  I have the following controls hierarchy: Form Panel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) FlowLayoutPanel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) Control1, Control2, Control3, Control4, ... FlowLayoutPanel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) Control1, Control2, Control3, Control4, ... Here is how it layouts in various sizes: Fully visible all 8 buttons, but the Panel forgot to shrink The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only half visible, button8 is missing The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only half visible, button7 and button8 are missing The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only quarter visible, button 6, button7 and button8 are missing As you see, i'm not satisfied from this behavior. Is there something i can do to get all this work?

• IIS on localhost is very slow

  I am using IIS7 on Windows Vista dual core cpu. The first time hit on a WCF service or an ASP.NET webform sometimes takes way longer than a minute which is not really acceptable for me. I configured the application to use the Classic .NET application pool and tried playing with the Maximum worker processes, first setting it to 4 but put it back to 1 as it did not have the expected result. Are there any other things that I can try?

• Need Help with Jquery TableSorter Pager plugin.

  Hi I am using the tablesorter plugin: http://tablesorter.com/docs/ with jquery 1.4.2 Now my problem is this. The user can dynamically add rows to the table. But this seems to mess up the paging. Like first it gets added to the first "page" of rows but if you would go to the second page and you go back to the first page. You newly record is gone. I don't know where it goes but it is just gone. I tried to do this $('#pagerid').unbind('click'); $('#tbl tbody ').append(response.HtmlRow); $('#tbl').trigger('update'); So I tried to unbind the pager click method and do a trigger update but that does not seem to work.   I'm trying to archive a task which turns out to be a bit complicated since I'm not very good at Python metaprogramming. I want to have a module locations with function get_location(name), which returns a class defined in a folder locations/ in the file with the name passed to function. Name of a class is something like NameLocation. So, my folder structure: program.py locations/ __init__.py first.py second.py program.py will be smth with with: from locations import get_location location = get_location('first') and the location is a class defined in first.py smth like this: from locations import Location # base class for all locations, defined in __init__ (?) class FirstLocation(Location): pass etc. Okay, I've tried a lot of import and getattribute statements but now I'm bored and surrender. How to archive such behaviour?

• Event Handlers Not Getting Called? - wxWidgets

  Hello all, I'm working on a program for my C++ programming class, using wxWidgets. I'm having a huge problem in that my event handlers (I assume) are not getting called, because when I click on the button to trigger the event, nothing happens. My question is: Can you help me find the problem and explain why they would not be getting called? The event handlers OnAbout and OnQuit are working, just not OnCompute or OnClear. I'm really frustrated as I can't figure this out.   I'm able to expand/collapse the row in the pivot table with mouse by: right clicking on cell in the first column of the row + selecting "Expand/Collapse"/"Expand" from context menu. or double clicking on the cell in the first column of the row Is there a keybord shortcut for same action? I'm using Excel 2010.

WHY? AND CAN I DO IT ON FIRST CLICK? yes i know this already happening perfect if i put first code but i want it on my function.

• iPhone: launch image for tab app?

  I have a tab-based iPhone app where I want to increase the perceived start-up speed with a launch image. As defined by the iPhone HIG, the launch image is a screenshot of your app (called Default.png) that is displayed immediately and looks very similar to the app's first screen (e.g., the screenshot of an empty table when the app displays a table first). Now the problem with a tab-based app is that users can rearrange the order of tabs so that any of the tabs may be the first tab to show upon launch. I think I read somewhere that you can't change the Default.png programmatically in your app, but I couldn't find that in the HIG (and the "Clock" app seems to do exactly that - having one launch image per tab). So, how do provide a launch image for a tab-based app?

  It seems to me that functional programming is a great thing. It eliminates state and makes it much easier to automatically make code run in parallel. Many programmers who were first taught imperative programming styles find it very difficult to learn functional programming, because it is so different. I began to wonder if programmers who were taught functional programming first would find it hard to begin imperative programming. It seems like it would not be as hard as the other way around, so I thought it would be a good thing if more programmers were taught functional programming first. So, my question is, should functional programming be taught in school before imperative, and if so, why is it not more common to start with it?

• XMPP TLS connection with SslStream

  I am trying to create a simple xmpp client that connects to Gtalk. The first part of the handshake seems to work. Ror the TLS handshake I created a client SslStream, connected to the intended server (talk.google.com) and successfully got authenticated . The first SSlStream.Read is to receive the greeting reply, it went fine . I do a SslStream.write to send my first command, but when i do my Sslstream.Read() to get the reply , i get this error."System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine." Can anyone point me to the right direction? I am using code very similar to the example on msdn http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.net.security.sslstream.aspx except that I switch from a Network stream to a Sslstream when TLS is negotiated. netStream.Flush(); sslStream = new SslStream(netStream, true, new RemoteCertificateValidationCallback(ValidateServerCertificate), null ); sslStream.AuthenticateAsClient("talk.google.com");

• iPhone:Tabbar item actions are not happening

  Hello all, I created a window application, which has a tabbar controller with four tabbar items. Each tabbar items are linked with a tableview. I have also set Navigation bar for each tabbar items. I have appdelegate file, which calls the first tableview controller of which is set for first tabbar item. I am trying to retrieve and do an action whenever a tabbar item is clicked. For that, i tried to add "- (void)tabBar:(UITabBar *)tabBar didSelectItem:(UITabBarItem *)item" and "- (void)tabBarController:(UITabBarController *)tabBarController didSelectViewController:(UITableViewController *)viewController" in my first tableview controller, but it is not at all responding whenever i click any tabbar items. My question is, if i create a window based application and added tabbar controller, tableview and navigation bar in .XIB file, is it not possible to access and do an action programatically whenever a tabbar item is clicked? (or) Am i doing anything wrong? Please help me to resolve this and share your ideas. Thanks.

  I want to get the union of 2 nested lists plus an index to the common values. I have two lists like A = [[1,2,3],[4,5,6],[7,8,9]] and B = [[1,2,3,4],[3,3,5,7]] but the length of each list is about 100 000. To A belongs an index vector with len(A): I = [2,3,4] What I want is to find all sublists in B where the first 3 elements are equal to a sublist in A. In this example I want to get B[0] returned ([1,2,3,4]) because its first three elements are equal to A[0]. In addition, I also want the index to A[0] in this example, that is I[0]. I tried different things, but nothing worked so far :( First I tried this: Common = [] for i in range(len(B)): if B[i][:3] in A: id = [I[x] for x,y in enumerate(A) if y == B[i][:3]][0] ctdCommon.append([int(id)] + B[i]) But that takes ages, or never finishes Then I transformed A and B into sets and took the union from both, which was very quick, but then I don't know how to get the corresponding indices Does anyone have an idea?

  First, I did do my homework searching before posting here. My requirement seems to be slightly different compared to questions posted out there. I have a matrix like ArrayList<ArrayList<Integer>> in the following form | id1 | id2 | score | |-----|-----|-------| | 1 | 3 | 95% | | 1 | 2 | 100% | | 1 | 4 | 85% | | 1 | 5 | 95% | | 2 | 10 | 80% | | 2 | 15 | 99% | I want to sort the matrix column-wise (first using score, then the id1). I already have the id1 in a sorted manner. That means I also need to sort all records with the same id1 first by using score, second by the id2. The reason for doing this is to create a ranking of the id2 in each id1. • Double interpolation of regular expressions in Perl

  I have a Perl program that stores regular expressions in configuration files. They are in the form: regex = ^/d+$ Elsewhere, the regex gets parsed from the file and stored in a variable - $regex. I then use the variable when checking the regex, e.g. $lValid = ($valuetocheck =~ /$regex/); I want to be able to include perl variables in the config file, e.g. regex = ^\d+$stored_regex$ But I can't work out how to do it. When regular expressions are parsed by Perl they get interpreted twice. First the variables are expanded, and then the the regular expression itself is parsed. What I need is a three stage process: First interpolate $regex, then interpolate the variables it contains and then parse the resulting regular expression. Both the first two interpolations need to be "regular expression aware". e.g. they should know that the string contain $ as an anchor etc... Any ideas?

  BES 4.1.6 Blackberry 8300 (curve) Hi guys, I've noticed that handhelds will typically only retrieve the first few KB and then prompt the user to manually retrieve more (or auto-retrieve if they scroll down). The problem is that I have a BB app that needs to see the entire message all at once on the first initial time it's opened. Is there a setting on BES that will allow me to change how much data a handheld initially retrieves per message? Thanks, M
