  • Velocity engine fails to load template from a remote shared folder

    I have following code File temlateFile = new File( "D:/config/emails/MailBody.vm" ); temlateFile.exists(); VelocityEngine velocityEngine = new VelocityEngine(); velocityEngine.setProperty(RuntimeConstants.RESOURCE_LOADER, "file"); velocityEngine.setProperty("file.resource.loader.class", FileResourceLoader.class.getName()); velocityEngine.setProperty("file.resource.loader.path", temlateFile.getParentFile().getAbsolutePath()); velocityEngine.init(); template = velocityEngine.getTemplate( temlateFile.getName() ); This works because it is loading a file from local file system. Once I change the first like to: File temlateFile = new File( "//remote/config/emails/MailBody.vm" ); It doesn't work. org.apache.velocity.exception.ResourceNotFoundException: Unable to find resource 'MailBody.vm' at org.apache.velocity.runtime.resource.ResourceManagerImpl.loadResource(ResourceManagerImpl.java:474) at org.apache.velocity.runtime.resource.ResourceManagerImpl.getResource(ResourceManagerImpl.java:352) at org.apache.velocity.runtime.RuntimeInstance.getTemplate(RuntimeInstance.java:1533) at org.apache.velocity.runtime.RuntimeInstance.getTemplate(RuntimeInstance.java:1514) at org.apache.velocity.app.VelocityEngine.getTemplate(VelocityEngine.java:373) at com.actuate.iserver.mail.VelocityContent.<init>(VelocityContent.java:33) at com.actuate.iserver.mail.VolumeCreationMail.<init>(VolumeCreationMail.java:40) at com.actuate.iserver.mail.VolumeCreationMail.main(VolumeCreationMail.java:67) In both cases temlateFile.exists() always return true. Any ideas?

  • Display processes that access a folder.

    I am trying to write a simple program, preferably in C, that will watch a given directory. Whenever a process accesses that directory, I just want to print out the name of that process. It seems simple, but I am coming up short for solutions on MSDN. Does anyone know which library calls I will need for this, or any helpful advice? I have considered repeatedly querying for what processes have handles on the given directory and just watching for additions to that list.This approach just seems very intensive and I am hoping there is an easier way.   • Update an app from other iTunes/Computer without losing the Documents folder

    Hello, Our inHouse tech have installed our own app to some of our iPods 3.x devices. Now, we have to update that app but WIHTOUT LOSING the data that has been entered by users. The problem is that the computer who installed those app and syncronyzed, isn't working now, and when we try to update them from another computer, iTunes insist in deleting ALL apps and documents app from iPods and add the new ones. I suppose that this action will erase ALL documents from the app, so we will lose the data. What can we do ? thanks, m. ps. those devices have currently an AdHoc profile

    Trying to write a deployment script, working on a repo in a different path. The "git-dir" flag seems to work fine for most commands, but not for submodule work. Am I missing a path directive?     I have a path for example C:\files\dir\file.css The "files" directory exists. however, the dir directory is missing and needs to be created. When I try to create the file using File.Create, it throws an exception saying that the directory was not found. Is there any way to make .net to create the missing folders along the path for me?     Hi all, I keep all modules of our system in one dir (e.g. All\ModuleA; All\ModuleB). I want to see what types of files are most numerous and take up the most space, by module. So, I'd like output along the lines of: ModName,java-count,java-size,xml-count,xml-size,png-count,png-size... ModuleA,30,0.2,100,2.3,0,0,... ModuleB,21,0.1,20,0.7,1,1.2 Not all modules have files of all types, so this will only work if I list all types for all module (with lots of zeros). I have something that almost works, but it's hideous, verbose and inefficient. I'm sure someone can help me see the light :-) (which, by the way, can be a piece of freeware software that does this out of the box; I only chose to do this in powershell out of interest). thanks

    I have a classifieds website, and users may post classifieds, add images, remove classifieds etc etc... I have no idea what to set the permissions to on folders. For instance, a php script which I have uploads a file to a directory. What would you have set the directory permissions to? Nobody need access to the directory, only the php script... Just wonder if anybody has a good (brief) article about setting the "right" permissions? Thanks

When I debug it I see that backslashes are removed, function gets "C:ProjectsSamplesmytestwebsite" instead of "'C:\Projects\Samples\mytestwebsite\'". How can I overcome this?
