    In sprite-based systems, it's common to fake rotation of a sprite by having many different images, each showing it rotated an extra few degrees. Is there any free tool which will take a single image, and output a single image containing several rotations? It should also ideally let us control how many images are in each row. e.g if I have a 32x32 sprite and I want it rotated at 10 degree intervals, the tool might generate a 320x32 file or a 160x64 file

    Hello, i just asked a question few minutes ago which led me to this one : I want to know if there is any chance to use only the back-end of wordpress ? I mean, link my admin interface to post news link my visitor interface on my website to the wordpress news so the visitor can access the news So the visitor never find out that i'm using wordpress to generate the news and handle their comments and write my news ? Maybe it's possible but there is no point by doing so ? Thank you

    I am generating a .cxml file on the server and pushing it to the browser based on certain queries. If I just link to a .cxml, it does what I expected and opens it in the respective application. How can I generate a file and push it to the browser just like if it was linked to a file without it asking me to download it?     Hi there, I have a database with products organized by categories and subcategories. The thing is that I generate a menu by querying the categories table. Because categories are almost the same(they can change/add once a month or something), I don't think I have to query the database for each access of the web-page. Do you have a better idea for me?     I have a jQueryUI slider on my website that deals with price range. I have a products table in mysql that has various entries. I am using the slider to filter the results, but I need to set the minimum and maximum prices from the records in my database. Should I just generate (with php) hidden fields in my html that contain the minimum and maximum and then use jQuery to obtain them? Or is there a better way of achieving this, maybe using AJAX?   • RubyMine Folder Tree doesn't refresh

    Hi Using RubyMine 2.0.2 for the first time today, on Mac OSX Leopard. If I create files in the filesystem (with, say, script/generate) those new files do not appear in rubymine. I have had limited success with restarting the program, in that the files in the db/ folder are added and removed, but unfortunately new folders in the views directory are not shown. Pardon my french, but wtf? Thanks

  • How do you set the title attribute of an ASP.NET MVC Html.ActionLink to the generated URL

    I would like users to be able to see the corresponding URL for an anchor tag generated by Html.ActionLink() when they hover over the link. This is done by setting the title attribute but where I'm stuck is figuring out how to get that value: @Html.ActionLink(@testrun.Name, "Download", "Trx", new { path = @testrun.TrxPath }, new { title = ??) How can I specify the URL that ActionLink is going to generate? I could hardcode something I guess but that violates DRY.

  • Is there any way to identify a unique user in Flash/Actionscript 3?

    I'm trying to make a vote/poll application in Flash using Actionscript 3. Is there any way to generate a specific ID that is unique to each user? The only other option I can think of is using the IP address, which is less than ideal in many cases (college campuses, shared Internet access, etc.). It needs to be the same number every time it is run on the same PC, but different for each user.

    I'm working through a book exercise to generate some random serial number, and here's my function: NSString *randomSerialNumber = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%c%c%c%c%c", '0' + random() % 10, 'A' + random() % 26, '0' + random() % 10, 'A' + random() % 26, '0' + random() % 10]; This works and has an output like: 2J6X7. But before, the 0s and As I had wrapped in double quotes, and an example output was 11764iÒ˜. What did I do wrong my first time around, and why did using single quotes fix it?

  • Best options for image resizing

    Hi, I have resize images exceeding a max size. Methods I tried so far are not good enough :-( System.Drawing.Image.GetThumbnailImage generates very poor quality images in general. Playing with options like this one I can generate better images in quality but heavier than the original one. Probably the second option (or something similar) is the best option and I would need to resize using the proper options. Any advice?

    Ok I wrote my own version of SALT I call it salty lol don't make fun of me.. Anyway the registration part of my script as follows is working 100% correctly. //generate SALTY my own version of SALT and I likes me salt.. lol function rand_string( $length ) { $chars = "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuwxyz1234567890"; $size = strlen( $chars ); for( $i = 0; $i < $length; $i++ ) { $str .= $chars[ rand( 0, $size - 1 ) ]; } return $str; } $salty = rand_string( 256 ); //generate my extra salty pw $password = crypt('password'); $hash = $password . $salty; $newpass = $hash; //insert the data in the database include ('../../scripts/dbconnect.php'); //Update db record with my salty pw ;) // TESTED WITH AND WITHOUT SALTY //HENCE $password and $newpass mysql_query("UPDATE `Register` SET `Password` = '$password' WHERE `emailinput` = '$email'"); mysql_close($connect); However my LOGIN script is failing. I have it setup to TEST and echo if its login or not. It always returns FAILED. I entered the DB and changed the crypted salty pw to "TEST" and I got a SUCCESS. So my problem is somewhere in this LOGIN script I assume. Now I am not sure how to implement my $Salty in this. But also be advised that even without SALTY (just using crypt to store my pass) - I was still unable to perform a login successfully.
