    Hey there, I am using emacs 23.2 with the GTK toolkit. I built emacs from source using the following configure-params: ./configure --prefix=/usr --without-makeinfo --without-sound Which builds emacs with the following configuration: Where should the build process find the source code? /home/****/incoming/emacs-23.2 What operating system and machine description files should Emacs use? `s/gnu-linux.h' and `m/intel386.h' What compiler should emacs be built with? gcc -g -O2 -Wdeclaration-after-statement -Wno-pointer-sign Should Emacs use the GNU version of malloc? yes (Using Doug Lea's new malloc from the GNU C Library.) I use the following plugins: ido linum tabbar auto-complete-config Starting emacs with -q fixes the problem, but then I don't have any plugins. I can't figure out, which part of my .emacs is responsible for this behaviour.   • Why use ASP.NET MVC 2 for REST services? Why not WCF?

    So I see that MVC 2 now supports [HttpPut] and [HttpDelete] as well as [HttpGet] and [HttpPost], making it possible to do a full RESTful Web service using it. I've been using the REST toolkit for WCF for a while and find it fairly powerful, but I'd be interested to find out what (if any) advantages there are using the MVC 2 approach. Links, war stories, or even pure hear-say are welcome.

    Background: I have been attempting to read the rating that is assigned in Adobe Bridge CS3 using the creative commons Metadata toolkit for php without success. I am using shared hosting so I do not have an oppotunity to recompile php with different modules. Is php code available that could be used to read the rating that is embedded in the .jpg file? I have read that this is an xmp (xml) formatted section within the file.

    I'm trying to move our Google Web Toolkit (GWT) development from Eclipse to IntelliJ 9 Community edition. So far I've been able to run and debug client/server code successfully via the GWT Maven plugin and its embedded Jetty container. However, I'm having trouble debugging client code when it is already running on a remote machine (and hence there's no need for the embedded Jetty container). Has anyone been successful at achieving this? Any help would be appreciated!

Is there a native port available somewhere or a command in Windows that does the same thing and supports features like all files in a directory by wildcard?     I am in the process of setting up a CUDA workstation. Platform specs: Intel Core 2 Duo Nvidia GTX 280 Fedora 10 GCC version 4.3.2 I have installed the developer driver, toolkit, and the SDK. When I try to compile the SDK example code I get the following errors: make[1]: * [obj/i386/release/cutil.cpp.o] Error 1 make: * [lib/libcutil.so] Error 2 I think this means that I am missing a library file but I'm not sure.

    Does anyone know how we can install BIDS for SQL Server 2008 without having to install the Database Engine? With the SQL Server 2008 Express install it appears to be mandatory to install the Database Engine when all we would like the end users to have access to is BIDS to develop their RDL's to deploy to an existing SSRS instance? It looks like BIDS 2005 was available as a standalone download - the toolkit - however I cannot find anything similar for 2008.
