  • Is there a work around for invalid octal digit in an array?

    I'm trying to create an array which will hold the hours in a day so I can loop through it for a clock. I have: int hourArray[24] = {12, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11}; I am getting the error on the following numbers in order 08, 09, 08, 09. It tells me: Error: invalid octal digit I've never run into this before and I'm wondering if there is any way around it?

  • Flex bug?? Get messed up stacked ColumnChart with type="100%"

    I am trying to do a stacked Column chart with type="100%" and a mixture of positive and negative values. When all the values are positive, is functions well, but when negative numbers come to the game, it looks totally messed up. But try to change: <mx:ColumnSet type="stacked" allowNegativeForStacked="true"> to: <mx:ColumnSet type="100%" allowNegativeForStacked="true"> and you'll see that it doesn't on January data, where both values are negative, the chart shows as if they are positive, and on the other two where one value is positive and the other is negative, it shows only the positive part as 100%... Isn't it a Flex Bug? I have my own case with such data and it behaves wrong the same way. I'd expect that if it has 800 stacked on -200, it will show 80% up and 20% down, totalling 100%.   • How can I ignore .svn directories when using sloccount?

    I'm trying to use sloccount from within hudson to gather statistics on our codebase, however by default sloccount collects information on all files, even those which are "hidden" (eg. .hideme). This means the statistics are skewed since they include numbers from files within the .svn directories. Is there any way I can tell sloccount to correctly ignore any files/directories which start with a .?

  • How do I force jquery to center an element when it snaps to another container using the draggable method?

  • Problems Installing Eclipse and Ruby Plugin

    I installed Eclipse on my Ubuntu machine and then the Ruby Development Tools (RDT), but it would crash when I try to alter certain features, like having line numbers, how far back to have history, and the code coloring scheme didn't work fully. I decided to try to uninstall Eclipse by doing sudo aptitude remove Eclipse and then sudo aptitude install eclipse but instead it installed it back with the broken Ruby plugin. I also tried aptitude purge but that didn't help either. How can I freshly reinstall Eclipse and get a properly working Ruby plugin?

    So whenever I write code I always think about the performance implications. I've often wondered, what is the "cost" of using a memcopy relative to other functions in terms of performance? For example, I may be writing a sequence of numbers to a static buffer and concentrate on a frame within the buffer, in order to keep the frame once I get to the end of the buffer, I might memcopy all of it to the beginning OR I can implement an algorithm to amortize the computation.

I can access objects with identifiers that start with letters, but not ones that start with numbers. For example, I can access data.item[0].specs.overview.details But I can't access data.item[0].specs.9a99.details If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
