  • Alpha plugin in GStreamer not working

    Hi! I'm trying to compose two videos, and I'm using the alpha plug-in to make the white color transparent. To test the alpha plug-in I'm creating the pipeline with gst-launch. The first test I done was: gst-launch videotestsrc pattern=smpte75 \ ! alpha method=custom target-r=255 target-g=255 target-b=255 angle=10 \ ! videomixer name=mixer ! ffmpegcolorspace ! autovideosink \ videotestsrc pattern=snow ! mixer. and it works great! Then I created two videos with those lines: gst-launch videotestsrc pattern=snow ! ffmpegcolorspace ! theoraenc ! oggmux ! filesink location=snow.ogv gst-launch videotestsrc pattern=smpte75 ! ffmpegcolorspace ! theoraenc ! oggmux ! filesink location=bars75.ogv And changed the videotestsrc to a filesrc and it continues working gst-launch filesrc location=bars75.ogv ! decodebin2 \ ! alpha method=custom target-r=255 target-g=255 target-b=255 angle=10 \ ! videomixer name=mixer ! ffmpegcolorspace ! autovideosink \ filesrc location=snow.ogv ! decodebin2 ! alpha ! mixer.     Quest I am looking to fetch rows that have accented characters. The encoding for the column (NAME) is latin1_swedish_ci. The Code The following query returns Abord â Plouffe using phpMyAdmin: SELECT C.NAME FROM CITY C WHERE C.REGION_ID=10 AND C.NAME_LOWERCASE LIKE '%abor%' ORDER BY C.NAME LIMIT 30 The following displays expected values (function is called db_fetch_all( $result )): while( $row = mysql_fetch_assoc( $result ) ) { foreach( $row as $value ) { echo $value . " "; $value = utf8_encode( $value ); echo $value . " "; } $r[] = $row; } The displayed values: 5482 5482 Abord â Plouffe Abord â Plouffe The array is then encoded using json_encode: $rows = db_fetch_all( $result ); echo json_encode( $rows ); Problem The web browser receives the following value: {"ID":"5482","NAME":null} Instead of: {"ID":"5482","NAME":"Abord â Plouffe"} (Or the encoded equivalent.) Question The documentation states that json_encode() works on UTF-8. I can see the values being encoded from LATIN1 to UTF-8. After the call to json_encode(), however, the value becomes null. How do I make json_encode() encode the UTF-8 values properly? One possible solution is to use the Zend Framework, but I'd rather not if it can be avoided.

  • Jquery image preview plugin issue...

    I have a problem with an image preview that comes up when you hover over a thumbnail. I can change the distance between the preview and the cursor, but if a thumbnail is close to the side of the window, the preview cant fit and you only see part of it.. hope that makes sense... is there a way to make it so that if the preview doesnt fit, it will show up on the other side of the cursor?....   • Make fancybox jQuery plugin with results from submitting a form on same page

    I am trying to take form results that are generated from a PHP call and populate them into a div that will then appear in a light box upon click of the submit button. So far I have successfully setup the form and am populating the results on the same page into a hidden div. I can make this div appear no problem in a light box by setting up a href link but cannot make it show up by simply by clicking the submit button. I know my fancybox and jQuery calls are good but not sure where I'm going wrong on the submit button.   • json_encode with mysql content and umlauts in utf-8

    Hey, i feel my beard growing while trying to find out the Problem here. Basic the Problem is, that Umlauts/Special Signs äöß ... don't work. I guess everyone is sick and tired of that questions but all the solutions found online don't seem to work. Im having utf-8 content in a utf-8 Mysql Database. I feel the Problem ist somewhere in the Database connection but i just can't figure out. character_set_client utf8 character_set_connection utf8 character_set_database utf8 character_set_filesystem binary character_set_results utf8 character_set_server latin1 character_set_system utf8 Im not sure if the problem is the latin1 for character_set_server because im not into that mysql stuff. I also dont know how to change cause i can't access the mysql server's config files. Whatever is confusing me, that if i get my results from the Database and echo it, print_r gives the right result. ini_set('default_charset','utf-8'); header('Content-Type: text/plain; > charset=utf-8'); Firefox says char encode is utf-8 but if when i output: print_r($listnew); echo json_encode($listnew[5]); print_r results everything right but json_encode does wrong. print_r: [5] => Array ( [id] => 5 [data] => U-Bahnhof Theresienstraße [size] => 17 ) json_encode: {"id":5,"data":"U-Bahnhof Theresienstra\u00dfe","size":17} i know json_encode needs a utf-8 string to work properly there and i feel im having a encode trouble here but i just can't firgure out where it is.     Hey all, I've created a widget that will essentially unlock a music track, providing you post to either your twitter account, or facebook wall. I've signed up through facebook connect and I am able to successfully post onto my own wall... but the functionality I'm looking for is to be able to take ones username and password and automatically log in to facebook, and send my desired message.   • Three20 JSON problem: Can deploy to simulator but not device (extThree20JSON)

    Everything builds and runs in the simulator fine ... but when I attempt to run on device I get: "arm-apple-darwin10-gcc-4.2.1: ..../three20/Build/Products/Debug-iphoneos/libextThree20JSON+YAJL.a: No such file or directory" I check that directory and indeed the file doesn't exist. It does exist in the "Debug-iphoneosimulator" though (which I guess explains why it works in the simulator). So what gives and what can I do to correct this? Thanks

    I have a set of 4 checkboxes, all with different names, and require that at least 1 is checked. I know there are a few posts on here already trying to answer this question. The solution that seems to be most logical to me is the answer posted on Question 1734840, but I can't seem to get it working! What's wrong with my code? Or any other new coding ideas to get this working? I have set the class on all of them to 'require-one'.   • jquery $.getJSON only works once in internet explorer Help Please!!!

    I have a php function which inserts a searchbar into each page on a website. The site checks to see if the user has javascript enabled and if they do it inserts some jquery ajax stuff to link select boxes (instead of using it's fallback onchange="form.submit()"). $.getJSON works perfectly for me in other browsers except in IE, if I do a full page refresh (ctrl+F5) in IE my ajax works flawlessly until I navigate to a new page (or the same page with $PHP_SELF) either by submiting the form or clicking a link the jquery onchange function fires but then jquery throws an error: Webpage error details Message: Object doesn't support this property or method Line: 123 Char: 183 Code: 0 URI: http://~#UNABLE~TO~DISCLOSE#~/jquery-1.4.2.min.js It seems like jquery function $.getJSON() is gone??? The specific errors I get in the compiler results are: cannot find metadata file 'system.dll' at line 0 column 0. cannot find metadata file 'system.xml.dll' at line 0 column 0. Mono obviously doesn't like the way I add referenced assemblies to the code I'm compiling for system.xml and system.xml.dll. The other two assemblies add fine, which is no surprise because they're the code that the compiler is actually executing from and exist in the executable directory. Any clue what I need to do to fix this? Maybe I could just drop those DLLs in the executable directory, but that feels like a dumb idea.

    Based on Please explain JSONP, I understand that JSONP can be used to get around the same-origin policy. But in order to do that, the page must use a <script> tag. I know that pages can dynamically emit new script tags, such as with: <script type="text/javascript" language='javascript'> document.write('<script type="text/javascript" ' + 'id="contentloadtag" defer="defer" ' + 'src="javascript:void(0)"><\/script>'); var contentloadtag=document.getElementById("contentloadtag"); contentloadtag.onreadystatechange=function(){ if (this.readyState=="complete") { init(); } } </script> (the above works in IE, don't think it works in FF). ... but does this mean, effectively, that every JSONP call requires me to emit another <script> tag into the document? Can I remove the <script> tags that are done?

It is working fine when I return Collection of some object which does not contain any other custom objects as its fields. Am I missing any settings for this to work? Thanks!

    I have an issue when trying to set up rvm, where gems weren't installing due to them being dependent on json_pure. I tried to install json_pure, but rubygems itself seems to depend on json_pure. I have tried removing all versions of json_pure, but rubygems still complains. $ sudo gem install json_pure /Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems.rb:777:in `report_activate_error': Could not find RubyGem json_pure (= 0) (Gem::LoadError) I have tried downloading the gem and installing it locally, but rubygems still complains about the dependency.

  • Calling blockUI and unblockUI in combination with jQuery validator plugin

    I have a very complex form with the validation working correctly. However, since it can take awhile for the validation to complete, I'd like to use blockUI to be called when I click the form's submit button to prevent confusion and double-submissions. I can't quite figure out how to do this. My code looks like this: $("#credential").validate({ rules: { EngId: { required: true } ClientAccount: { required: true } ... } and I'm calling the validation with several buttons (using their click function) depending on selections in the form, often disabling some of the rules: $("#buttonname").click(function() { $("#fieldname").rules("remove"); ... $("#credential").submit(); }); What I can't figure out is where the blockui and unblockui calls would go so that when the user clicks the button, before validation starts, blockui does its magic, and if the validation finds a problem, unblockui is called and enables the form again. I'm pretty new to Jquery and I can't find any examples that I've been able to implement successfully. I would appreciate any help anyone could give (please excuse if this has been covered before).

    What is the best way to keep track of eventListener functions on DOM elements? Should I add a property to the element which references the function like this: var elem = document.getElementsByTagName( 'p' )[0]; function clickFn(){}; elem.listeners = { click: [clickFn, function(){}] }; elem.addEventListener( 'click', function(e){ clickFn(e); }, false ); Or should I store it in my own variable in my code like below: var elem = document.getElementsByTagName( 'p' )[0]; function clickFn(){}; // Using window for the sake of brevity, otherwise I wouldn't =D // DOM elements and their listeners are referenced here in a paired array window.listeners = [elem, { click: [clickFn, function(){}] }]; elem.addEventListener( 'click', function(e){ clickFn(e); }, false ); Obviously the second method would be less obtrusive, but it seems it could get intensive iterating through all those possibilities. Which is the best way and why? Is there a better way?

  • Configure Notepad++ DBGP plugin and XDebug for PHP

    I followed these steps: download x-debug*.dll to D:\Program Files\webserver\php\ext\php_xdebug.dll modify php.ini and insert following zend_extension_ts="D:\Program Files\webserver\php\ext\php_xdebug.dll" xdebug.remote_enable=1 xdebug.remote_handler=dbgp xdebug.remote_mode=req xdebug.idekey=default xdebug.remote_autostart=1 restart apache and XDebug is successfully installed. DBGP is installed successfully and configured with 127.0.0.1 but XDebugger is still not connecting/working with notepad++.

  • Why does my REST request return garbage data?

    I am trying to use LWP::Simple to make a GET request to a REST service. Here's the simple code: use LWP::Simple; $uri = "http://api.stackoverflow.com/0.8/questions/tagged/php"; $jsonresponse= get $uri; print $jsonresponse; On my local machine, running Ubuntu 10.4, and Perl version 5.10.1: farhan@farhan-lnx:~$ perl --version This is perl, v5.10.1 (*) built for x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi I can get the correct response and have it printed on the screen. E.g.: farhan@farhan-lnx:~$ head -10 output.txt { "total": 1000, "page": 1, "pagesize": 30, "questions": [ { "tags": [ "php", "arrays", "coding-style" (... snipped ...) But on my host's machine to which I SSH into, I get garbage printed on the screen for the same exact code. I am assuming it has something to do with the encoding, but the REST service does not return the character set type in the response, so how do I force LWP::Simple to use the correct encoding?
