• setsockopt TCP_NODELAY question on Windows Mobile

  Hi all, I have a problem on Windows Mobile 6.0. I would like to create a TCP connection which does not use the Nagle algorithm, so it sends my data when I call "send" function, and does not buffer calls, having too small amount of data. I tried the following: BOOL b = TRUE; setsockopt(socketfd, IPPROTO_TCP, TCP_NODELAY, (char*)(&b), sizeof(BOOL)); It works fine on desktop. But on Windows Mobile, if I set this value, than I make a query for it, the returned value is 8. And the network traffic analysis shows that the nothing changed. Is there any way to force a flush to my socket?

I don't need that much precision (that exact number of bytes), so, how can I convert the file size to MiBytes to 3 decimal places and convert to a string... tried this... long double file_size_megs = file_size_bytes / (1024 * 1024); char strNumber[20]; sprintf(strNumber, "%ld", file_size_megs); ... but dosen't seem to work. i.e. 1234567899878Bytes = 1177375.698MiB ??

  Suppose I defined a structure like this: struct person { char name [10]; int age; }; and declared two person variables: person Bob; person John; where Bob.name = "Bob", Bob.age = 30 and John.name = "John",John.age = 25. and I called Bob = John; struct person would do a Memberwise assignment and assign Johns's member values to Bob's. But arrays can't assign to arrays, so how does the assignment of the "name" array work?

  Hi, The question is about Armenian. I'm using sql server 2005, collation SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS, data mostly is in Armenian and we can't use unicode. I tested on ms sql 2008 with a windows collation for armenian language ( Cyrillic_General_100_ ), I have found here, ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188046.aspx ) but it didn't help. I have a function, that orders hex values and a lower function, which takes each char in each string and converts it to it's lower form, but it's not acceptable solution, it works really slow, calling that functions on every column of a huge table. Is there any solution for this issue not using unicode and not working with hex values manually?

  Hi. I have a lot of custom keyboard shortcuts set up. To avoid having to set them up every time I install a new visual studio (happens quite a lot currectly, with VS2010 being in beta/RC) I have created a macro, that sets up all my custom commands, like this: DTE.Commands.Item("ReSharper.ReSharper_UnitTest_RunSolution").Bindings = "Global::Ctrl+T, Ctrl+A" My main problem is that Ctrl+T is set up to map to the transpose char command by default. So I want to remove that default value in my macro. I have tried the following two lines, but both throw an exception DTE.Commands.Item("Edit.CharTranspose").Bindings = "" DTE.Commands.Item("Edit.CharTranspose").Bindings = Nothing Although they kind of work, because they actually remove the binding ;) But I would prefer the solution that doesn't throw an exception. How is that done?

  I'm attempting to take an NSImage and convert it to a string which I can write in an XML document. My current attempt looks something like this: [xmlDocument setCharacterEncoding: @"US-ASCII"]; NSData* data = [image TIFFRepresentation]; NSString* string = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:data encoding:NSASCIIStringEncoding]; //Put string inside of NSXMLElement, write out NSXMLDocument. Reading back in looks something like this: NSXMLDocument* newXMLDocument = [[NSXMLDocument alloc] initWithData:data options:0 error:outError]; //Here's where it fails. I get: //Error Domain=NSXMLParserErrorDomain Code=9 UserInfo=0x100195310 "Line 7: Char 0x0 out of allowed range" I assume I'm missing something basic. What's up with this encoding issue?

  I'm having issues with a table. I'm using the following to create my insert query... $validatedData = array(); foreach ($post as $key => $value) { if ($key != 'submit' && $key != 'dz_tos' && $key != 'dz_billShip') { $validatedData[$key] = filter_var($value, FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING); } } mysql_query("INSERT INTO dz_users(".implode(array_keys($validatedData), ',').", dz_access_level) VALUES(\"".implode($validatedData, '\",\"')."\", 1)"); So every column has a value to match it. The problem is that I'm getting the SQL error: Column count doesn’t match value count at row 1 The database is an innoDB and all columns are varChar/Char except for the ID field which is an auto increment primary key.

  Hello, I'm having difficulties to make a QMenuBar display a QMenu with a QAction under Mac OS X (Snow Leopard).   I have a Xerces (2.6) DOMNode object encoded UTF-8. I use to read its TEXT element like this: CBuffer DomNodeExtended::getText( const DOMNode* node ) const { char* p = XMLString::transcode( node->getNodeValue( ) ); CBuffer xNodeText( p ); delete p; return xNodeText; } Where CBuffer is, well, just a buffer object which is lately persisted as it is in a DB. This works until in the TEXT there are just common ASCII characters. If we have i.e. chinese ones they get lost in the transcode operation. I've googled a lot seeking for a solution. It looks like with Xerces 3, the DOMWriter class should solve the problem. With Xerces 2.6 I'm trying the XMLTranscoder, but no success yet. Could anybody help?

When I try to run this code: #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <sstream> using namespace std; int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { string s("hello"); istringstream input(s, istringstream::in); string s2; input >> s2; cout << s; } I get this error: malloc: *** error for object 0x100016200: pointer being freed was not allocated *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug The only thing I can think of is that I allocated s2 on the stack, but I thought strings manage their own content on the heap. • c# Remove special chars from a File

  Hello i have a problem, im trying to open a textfile and remove all the special chars ñ Ñ ' á í etc... the file its a Layout that the clients send to me and i parse it to send the file to an AS400 server but i have to remove all special chars. THE PROBLES IS: some files with some special chars when i open it in c# it read the special chars and Two different chars and move the entire line one space to the right and then the information that has to be in that position wont be OK. i take the same file and open it in Notepad and the file is OK but when i open it in WordPad it looks like 2 chars (for just 1 especial char) Example: in the file i have: "0001 0003JUAN PEÑA33441JPENATEST" But in c# it shows "0001 0003JUAN PEï¦A33441JPENATEST" im using the encondig 1251 any help?

  I have a few simple questions, because I got confused reading all difference responses. 1) If I have an xml with prolog: and I'm going to unmarshall it with Java (for example: JaXB). I suppose, that I can't put CROSS OF LORRAINE (http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/2628/index.htm) inside, but I can put "\u2628", correct? 2) I've also heard that UTF-8 doesn't contain it, but anything in Unicode can be saved with encoding UTF-8 (or UTF-16), and here is an example from this page: UTF-8 (hex) 0xE2 0x98 0xA8 (e298a8) Is my reasoning correct? Can I use this form and put it in the xml with utf-8 encoding?

  I need to parse plain Win32 DLL/Exe and need to get all imports and exports from it and to show it on console or GUI(say Win Forms). Is it possible to parse Win32 DLL/Exe in C#.NET, read its export table,import table and get managed types from it. As its unmanaged PE(.NET doesn't allows you to convert unmanaged PE files to managed .NET assemblies, only it generates COM managed assemblies). So how to parse export and import tables of PE files and take all methods(signatures from it) in managed form.(e.g if char* as argument, it should display as IntPtr)

• How do I copy object in Qt?

  I'm using Qt and have some real basic problems. I have created my own widget MyTest that have a variable obj. I need to set this variable obj from an object outside of the widget so that the variable is copied not just a pointer to another object. I get an error message and can't figure out how to do this basic stuff.
