• Drupal Error After Logging In

  Hello everyone. I'm kinda new to using drupal and i'm just wondering why I kind of get this error on my new site. See i have this website under WampServer running drupal6-16. Everytime I log in with my pre-created admin account 'admin01' pass: 'admin01' i get redirected to the WampServer localhost which appears to be unusual since the header does not have the WampServer logo. I already tried creating a new drupal website with the same database and the same thing happens. Also, I tried creating another website with a new database but I copied the other website's theme and other contents and the same thing happens. Help me please. I am losing my grip on this. :( Note: I have the same website running on one PC and i am just trying to run it on another PC by copying all its contents. The original copy is working perfectly but I can't seem to get the hook on my new copies to work on other PCs.

• NSArray : release its objects, but keep a pointer to it.

  Hello, I declare an NSArray in my code then building the array from another array. I process my NSArray and when I'm finished, I would like to release the objects, but I'm reusing this pointer to NSAarray again later to do the same process (creating the array from another array, process then releasing).. So I need to keep the pointer. What should I do ? Here is roughly what I want to do, the buildArray is creating and returning an autoreleased NSArray : NSArray *myArray; for (int i = 0, i < 10, i++){ [myArray arrayWithArray:[self buildArray]]; // Here I process myArray [myArray = nil] // is my guess } I need to keep a pointer to my NSArray, in order to reuse later in the loop, but what is happening to the objects created with [self buildArray]? What is the best to do in order not to keep unused object and arrays ? Or maybe the best solution is simply to removeAllObject of the array..? Thank you!

• Using Rails, how can I set my primary key to not be an integer-typed column?

  I'm using Rails migrations to manage a database schema, and I'm creating a simple table where I'd like to use a non-integer value as the primary key (in particular, a string). To abstract away from my problem, let's say there's a table employees where employees are identified by an alphanumeric string, e.g. "134SNW". I've tried creating the table in a migration like this: create_table :employees, {:primary_key => :emp_id} do |t| t.string :emp_id t.string :first_name t.string :last_name end What this gives me is what seems like it completely ignored the line t.string :emp_id and went ahead and made it an integer column. Is there some other way to have rails generate the PRIMARY_KEY constraint (I'm using PostgreSQL) for me, without having to write the SQL in an execute call? NOTE: I know it's not best to use string columns as primary keys, so please no answers just saying to add an integer primary key. I may add one anyway, but this question is still valid.

  Hi all, I am creating dynamic label and textbox based on the number of values from the database for the selected item of the dropdownlist. Then the dynamic labels will have the names and the text box with the values. To retain the values of these controls im using Page_init event. So im using cache to hold the selectteditem from the dropdownlist. Problem: The process is going fine. But if i try to refresh the page no items are selected in the dropdown list but the cache is not getting clear so using this cache value dynamic control are creating. Geetha

  I sometimes find it's easier to create a new project from scratch in other IDEs simply because its often more difficult to understand and tweak the generated template code than it is to write the code you need from scratch. Do seasoned iPhone developers still use templates when creating new projects? How difficult is it to add functionality to a template project that isn't initially included in the template? For example, if I don't check the "Use Core Data" option when creating a new project, how difficult does that make it to use Core Data later on if I changed my mind?

• Drupal Imagecache Actions with ImageField and Node variables

  I am able to add text to onto a imagefield using the imagecache textrender preset action (for a content type). I pull the node title using the following in the imagecache preset text: global $node; return $node->title; However this only works when an image is uploaded when creating new content. If I have an image set as a default for the content type (and none are added when creating the new page) then it won't overlay the node title. I tried just regular text in the preset action field on the default image and it worked. Can anyone help me with this?

• How to make a service not receive messages at certain times

  I'm currently learning wcf for an up and coming project. The service I am creating is using MSMQ to update the database, but the database can't accept messages at certain times. The service is going to be a windows service. The one thing I am coming up against at the moment is how I can get the service to stop reading messages from the queue at these times, for instance lets say I don't want to read messages from the queue on sundays. How would I go about implementing this. So that the client can send messages to the queue that update the database but the service doesn't read the messages until monday, so that the database gets all the updates on the monday? I have started looking at creating a customhost, but I'm not sure if I'm heading in the right direction with this. Thanks in advance.

  Hey all- A while back I was writing a C++ program with the Win32 API that would display a dialog box and then listen to the messages it generated. At one point, I was interested in associating a piece of data with the dialog window. Were I manually creating the window and attaching a window proc, I'd just use SetWindowLongPtr to set the GWLP_USERDATA field to a pointer to the data to associate. However, in this case I was creating and displaying the window with DialogBoxParam, and it wasn't clear whether this function was associating that data with its own internal state. Since the MSDN didn't have a description of what would happen in this case, I ended up using some other approach to solve the problem. My question is this - is it safe to use SetWindowLongPtr to overwrite the GWLP_USERDATA value in a window created by DialogBoxParam? Thanks!

  Hi, I am creating a cookie in a jsp script, which is located at: www.myproject.com/login/index.jsp if I restart the browser and navigate there, all works well, I can see the cookie persist. If I navigate to: www.myproject.com I am not seeing the cookie. Do I need to set something in the cookie path or domain to make the cookie visible to the entire [myproject.com] domain (I just want to access the cookie from whatever sub path the user may be on). But it looks like blackberry doesn't have an internal api for creating single line Edit field. I have created a Custom Field by extending BasciEditField overriding methods like layout, paint. In paint i am drawing a rectangle with getpreferred width and height. But the cursor is coming at default position (top-left) in Edit Field.   I have a table of information that includes a username, an ip address, and a timestamp. What I wanted to do was to have the ip address contained within a link object that when the link is clicked it utilizes bgp.he.net to get information about the host/IP address. I have tried creating threads to resolve the IP addresses but it is often a large amount of IP addresses and I read that InetAddress#getByName isn't non-blocking, so I figured having links that go to this site is the next best thing. Question is: Is it possible to have links for each of my IP addresses in the table without creating a new link object for each row? I don't know how bad that would be on memory usage which is why I'm inquiring about cloning an instance of an IP and having the link open bgp.he.net/link.getText()

  I have mysql table called user(id, name, join_on) join on is a date field what I want is to show in each day how many uses has been created I can use group by but it will only give me the dates when users get added like if date 4/12/10 5 users added 4/13/10 2 users added 4/15/10 7 users added here date 4/14/10 is missing and I want listing of all dates in one month. I have one solution for it by creating another table only for adding date and that table will left join my users table on join_on and will give total result but I don't want to do that as for creating that I need to create and add entries in date table please suggest the different approach for doing so. • Remove margin between rows of overflowing inline elements

  I'm creating a tile-based game and am using block rendering to update a large list of tiles. I'm attempting to do this in the most simple manner, so I've been trying to work with HTML's default layouts. Right now I'm creating 'inline-blocks', omitting whitespace between the elements to avoid horizontal spaces in between them but when the blocks overflow and create a new line there is some vertical margining in which I do not know how to remove.   Hi, I am creating an Android application. My Application has audio and png files which i have saved in res/drawable folder. When i run the app , its giving error Installation error: INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE and in the logcat it says - ERROR/PackageManager(54): Couldn't copy package file to temp file. I tried creating new avd also.But i am getting the same error. I want all those png and audio files. I dont want to store them in sdcard. Please Suggest me how to solve this problem. • Django GenericRelation doesn't save related object's id - is this a bug or am I doing it wrong?

  I have a model with a generic relation (call it A), when creating an instance of this object I pass an instance of another model (call it B) as the initializer of the content_object field (via kwargs of the constructor). If I don't save B before creating A then when saving A the content_object_id is saved to the db as NULL. If I save B before passing it to the constructor of A then everything's allright. It's not logical. I assumed that the ID of the related object (B) is fetched when doing A.save() and it should throw some kind of an exception if B isn't saved yet but it just fails silently. • C++ for small, individual projects (i.e. hobby programming)

  I recently started C++. I am using PHP right now and decided to take a look at C++. Web programming had me working with a couple of languages, with a couple of people. I wanted to do programming where I only had to bother with one language and create small utility apps (mostly not web-based). I wanted a compiled, strongly-type language without memorizing a tome of classes. Basically I wanted to learn C++ for the following: mobile programming (I don't ever want to go touching Java, and I don't have a Mac for Objective C or IPhone SDK) small desktop apps like DTRs, POSs creating small desktop-based games creating small Air-like applications that can access the web for additional content I heard that C++ is not beginner-friendly and is mostly used for huge projects with lots of calculations and fine details (like 3D games). Is it practical or even possible for me to use C++ for the above cases? (Sorry, I haven't delved on C++ that much yet, so aside from "huge, monolithic project", I don't know any other uses for it)

  I am creating a string that is a list of comma-delimitted values by looping through the selections in a CheckBoxList. I am able to display this value, so I know that it is creating what I expect. I am attempting to pass this list to an IN statment in a SELECT query: SelectCommand="SELECT ThisDate, DATEPART(dw, ThisDate) AS Expr1 FROM fbCalendar WHERE (ThisDate &gt;= @ThisDate) AND (ThisDate &lt;= @ThisDate2) AND (DATEPART(dw, ThisDate) IN (@TheseDays))" <asp:ControlParameter ControlID="Label1" Name="TheseDays" PropertyName="Text" Type="String" /> This works fine as long as there is only a single item selected, but selecting a second item fails with the message: Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value '4,5' to data type int. However, I do not understand when this would be converted to an INT. I have tried many different formatting attempts (such as encapsulating the string in parenthesis (e.g. "(4,5)" ) for the SELECT query, but I have yet to find the right one to make this work. It seems like formatting is the problem, but perhaps I am missing something else.
