Use jquery cookies in showing/hiding elements (jQuery)

Hello, How to use jquery cookies in showing/hiding elements in a page ? I got the plugin from here Tried some method but i am not successful. I used slideUp() and slideDown() functions to show/hide elements. When a element is slided up a cookie should be set. when the page is refreshed, the element should be in slided up position How to apply cookie when slided up and how to get the cookie when page is refreshed ? I need help !

We are developing a project that has 3 enviroments (development, test, production) So there are 3 databases (actually more than 3, because we have 5 customers so we have more than 10 databases) and they must be synchronised. There are 30 coders working for this project. Everone adds, deletes, and changes procedures, table columns etc. We need a program to store our database scripts like visual studio's team foundation server. See the change history of script file. Everyone must access that program and be able to put their scripts. Recover previous versions of script file. Execute these scripts over a selected database. Compare databases by procedures (not only by name, by content of procedure), functions, table columns, packages etc. I am searching a program like that. Which one do you suggest me?

Hi , I want to do some logic at the oncomplete attribute of the a4j:commandButton ,but my logic is too complicated , can I reference the code using a java script functions located in a external java-script file to have a better maintenance ? I found it has error because the JavaScript file cannot understand the EL expression . C# delegate or Func for 'all methods'?

Hi, i've read something about Func's and delegates and that they can help you to pass a method as a parameter. Now i have a cachingservice, and it has this declaration: public static void AddToCache<T>(T model, double millisecs, string cacheId) where T : class public static T GetFromCache<T>(string cacheId) where T : class So in a place where i want to cache some data, i check if it exists in the cache (with GetFromCache) and if not, get the data from somewhere, and the add it to the cache (with AddToCache) Now i want to extend the AddToCache method with a parameter, which is the class+method to call to get the data Then the declaration would be like this public static void AddToCache<T>(T model, double millisecs, string cacheId, Func/Delegate methode) where T : class Then this method could check wether the cache has data or not, and if not, get the data itself via the method it got provided. Then in the calling code i could say: AddToCache<Person>(p, 10000, "Person", new PersonService().GetPersonById(1)); AddToCache<Advert>(a, 100000, "Advert", new AdvertService().GetAdverts(3)); What i want to achieve is that the 'if cache is empty get data and add to cache' logic is placed on only one place. I hope this makes sense :) Oh, by the way, the question is: is this possible?

However, I'm not sure how you'd go about handling the need for it to deal with a variety of unexpected entity types. A good example to get me started would be most appreciated.

Generic function to handle DataType Conversion

I have the following function in C#, that I want to pass a MySQL DataReader value/object. If the value of the object passed is a DBNull I need to handle it and return a Null value of that data type e.g null int. Otherwise I want to convert the returned value like Convert.ToInt32(value) or similar. public static T ConvertFromDB<T>(object value) { return value == DBNull.Value ? default(T) : (T)value; } Can anyone offer any help on this ?

I recently started to scam over "C language" [please note that i emphasized on C language and want to stick with C as i found it to be a perfect tool, so no need for suggestions focusing on why should i move back to C++ or Java]. handling pointer to member functions within hierachy in C++

Hi, I'm trying to code the following situation: I have a base class providing a framework for handling events. I'm trying to use an array of pointer-to-member-functions for that. It goes as following: class EH { // EventHandler virtual void something(); // just to make sure we get RTTI public: typedef void (EH::*func_t)(); protected: func_t funcs_d[10]; protected: void register_handler(int event_num, func_t f) { funcs_d[event_num] = f; } public: void handle_event(int event_num) { (this->*(funcs_d[event_num]))(); } }; Then the users are supposed to derive other classes from this one and provide handlers: class DEH : public EH { public: typedef void (DEH::*func_t)(); void handle_event_5(); DEH() { func_t f5 = &DEH::handle_event_5; register_handler(5, f5); // doesn't compile ........ } }; This code wouldn't compile, since DEH::func_t cannot be converted to EH::func_t. It makes perfect sense to me. In my case the conversion is safe since the object under this is really DEH. So I'd like to have something like that: void EH::DEH_handle_event_5_wrapper() { DEH *p = dynamic_cast<DEH *>(this); assert(p != NULL); p->handle_event_5(); } and then instead of func_t f5 = &DEH::handle_event_5; register_handler(5, f5); // doesn't compile in DEH::DEH() put register_handler(5, &EH::DEH_handle_event_5_wrapper); So, finally the question (took me long enough...): Is there a way to create those wrappers (like EH::DEH_handle_event_5_wrapper) automatically? Or to do something similar? What other solutions to this situation are out there? Thanks.

Call function in query in Entity framework 3.5

Hello All: I am trying to run following query in entity framework 3.5 var test = from e in customers where IsValid(e) select e; Here IsValid function takes current customer and validate against some conditions and returns false or true. But when I am trying to run the query it is giving error "LINQ Method cannot be translated into a store expression." Can any body tell me any other approach? One approach I can think of is to write all validation conditions here, but that will make the code difficult to read. Thanks Ashwani

XAMPP mail not working with PHP mail() function.

Hi gusy, I just installed XAMPP, Apache is running, so is MySQL and Mercury. In Dreamweaver I created a php file with a mail($to,$subject,$msg,'From:'.$email); function, but when I ran the file from localhost it showed an error. After playing around with xampp control panel, turning mercury on and off, it's not showing any errors, yet is not send the email either... any ideas? the 'admin' button on the cp for mercury does nothing. I have a struct that I initialize like this: typedef struct { word w; long v; } MyStruct; MyStruct sx = {0,0}; Update(sx); Now, it seems such a waste to first declare it and then to pass it. I know that in C#, there's a way to do everything in one line. Is there any possiblity of passing it in a more clever (read: cleaner) way to my update function?
