    it is finally upon us. Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) V2.0 has been released and is now available (see Press Release). This is significant for me as this is the first product to use the new version of the Oracle Utilities Application Framework V4.0.1. This release is very significant as it adds a lot of new functionality to the framework, not just for MWM but will progressively rolled out across a few moew Oracle Utilities products over the next 12 months. Watch the skies for more annoucements. Now that Framework 4.0.1 has been released I will be updating this blog ona regular basis outlining significant features (there are over 60+ features in the new Framework) for you too understand. It has been hard work but it finally has been released and used by the first product off the assembly line we call product development.

    The Access Control Management Tool (Acm.exe) is a command-line tool you can use to perform management operations (CREATE, UPDATE, GET, GET ALL, and DELETE) on the AppFabric Access Control entities (scopes, issuers, token policies, and rules). Basic Syntax The command line for Acm.exe follows the basic pattern of verb-noun. For example: acm.exe <command> <resource> [-option:<option value>] This tool will automatically generate random keys, which helps ensure that they can't easily be guessed by an attacker. Note that ACM.EXE is a thin wrapper around a REST Web Service (the AC management service). The blue AdmiraL is a development and analysis device for the APIX (Automotive Pixel Link) technology. Here is its management tool: The blue PiraT is an optimised multi-data logger, developed by Telemotive specifically for the automotive industry. With the blue PiraT the communication of bus systems and control units are monitored and relevant data can be recorded very precisely.   • "The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client"

    I just put my asp .net web service on a remote host. The service accesses an oracle db on my local machine. The service worked fine when it was running on localhost but since moving to a remote hos, I get The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client at Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleInit.Initialize() at Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection..cctor() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection..ctor(String connectionString) at.... I know the error is related to the data provider version running on the server/client. In my case, the only dll I referenced in the project was Oracle.DataAccess So how do I go about solving this? Note that I won't be able to change anything on the web host other than my own project. My local machine is running Oracle 11g Thanks.

  • Oracle data provider hangs IIS worker process when web site is stopped

    We're experiencing a nasty issue in Oracle 11g Release 2 where the w3wp process takes over and entire processor core, and debugging shows that the Oracle data provider is throwing ThreadAbortExceptions infinitely. A developer found this issue by doing the following: 1) Browse a web site that uses Oracle data connections locally (http://localhost/OracleWebSite) - we use IIS, not the ASP.NET dev server, for all of our sites. This ensures that the w3wp process is running and that an active Oracle pool of connections exists in the app pool. 2) Stop the web site (or perform a Rebuild All operation in Visual Studio on the web site in question). Our Oracle connection handling in the affected applications (all Oracle web apps) is well-established and robust. This issue does not occur if we disable connection pooling. This issue does not occur in Oracle 11g Release 1.

  • New power supply and now HDDs are not recognized.

    So I upgraded to a new X4 ULTRA power supply that was recommended to me by a local TigerDirect store. After installing it along with a new liquid cooling system, I booted it up and it automatically fried my CD Drive. After that I noticed that the OS wouldn't start and figured out that none of the 4 HDDs in my computer were being recognized by the BIOS. I feel them spool at a steady pace and have tried new cables and connections but to no avail. I triple checked all of the connections and cables and have no idea what is wrong. This isn't the first time I changed a PS or CPU cooling system but I am at a dead end. Any ideas, aside from buying a USB HDD reader and seeing if they are all fried? Also, this is a stock Gateway mobo with the mobo USB connections already dead. Could the new PS have fried the SATA connections??

  • Problem with Graphics Card, Power Supply or Mother Board?

    I have a problem that is driving me to the edge. My graphics card periodically looses power for a moment, then comes back. Once in a while it takes much longer, like 5 minutes. I have always tried rebooting during that period, since I don't know then. Black screen, with a no power message across my monitor. All equipment is only a few months old. The Motherboard is a few months old, MSI N9A2 Platinum Revision 1 (AMD). The Video Card is a Gigabyte Radeon HD 4850 1GB. The power supply is an Ultra 700w My OS is Xp Pro, sp3 Any ideas or suggestions how to solve this

  • Why would a machine ruin three "power supply"s?

    A client of mine has an XP era eMachines. The power supply has died and been replaced 3 times. I've discharged the motherboard and checked the surge protector. In the middle of a scan with ComboFix, the machine died. It powers on and hangs before the BIOS and shows a solid yellow light. I believe the model # is T5062 or something like that. Aside from a bad outlet, what would cause the PSU to die a few times?

  • Big noise from Power Supply Unity Fa? Should I replace it immediately?

    Recently, I started to get a large noise from my PC when switched on. After some time, it disappears. I discovered that the issue is with the Power Supply Unit. Does this mean I have a failing PSU? Will it harm the PC if I didn't replace it immediately? Several years ago I bought a new computer casing which is very weird. Its small and compact. Normally, we have the PSU in the top. But in here, the PSU is on the bottom and right below the hard drive. Recently, two of my hard drives started to show problems. Read errors and bad sectors.
