  • cmake and parallel building with "make -jN"

    Hi all, I'm trying to setup a parallel CMake-based build for my source tree, but when I issue $ cmake . $ make -j2 I get a jobserver unavailable: using -j1. Add '+' to parent make rule warning. Does anyone have an idea if it is possible to fix it somehow?

  • SharePoint 2007 Approval Workflow - Any other person can approve requirement

    How can I use SharePoint's Content Approval to enforce the rule that any two people in a group can make a change? We have a policy library that any two individuals can update (a modifier and an approver). If I do a group parallel approval, the modifier can approve their own work (I believe). Unfortunately, I don't have access to Visual Studio or even SharePoint Designer (as these have been disabled by corporate).

Would you recommend designing the website using JS and not bothering about people without it?

There's a site, which is allowed to access the flv files located on my server, however I've noticed that there are many requests from other domains as well...   • When are global variables acceptable?

    Everyone here seems to hate global variables, but I see at least one very reasonable use for them: They are great for holding program parameters that are determined at program initialization and not modified afterwords. Do you agree that this is an exception to the "globals are evil" rule? Is there any other exception that you can think of, besides in quick and dirty throwaway code where basically anything goes? If not, why are globals so fundamentally evil that you do not believe that there are any exceptons?

    SO Question: jQuery Validate - require at least one field in a group to be filled I uses the sample rule from the above link and it works, but the problem was it overrides the fields that going to be validated it jumps directly to the group validation, when validates a form the messages in my error container only contains error for the group fields.

    I came across this strange bit of CSS tonight... display: inline !ie; Now I've created and seen a lot of CSS and I have never seen this before or it's magical powers. You can add "!ie" at the end of any rule and it will only be applied by M$ Internet Explorer 6 & 7 Can anyone shed any light on this WTF?

    I have an unordered list and each li makes up one item in a two column layout: col1 col2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 I need to have an alternating background colour for each item BUT NOT so each item in one column is the same. So : 1,4,5,8,9,11 will have one colour; and 2,3,6,7,10,12 will have another colour. Can this be achieved with one :nth-child rule? Thanks!

The cardinality of the child nodes is 0..unbounded.     I am using the Jquery Validation plug-in, however i need to add a "custom rule", i have 2 date fields and i need to ensure that the end date is not less than the start date. My problem is how to pass the two fields in as elements. As i understand u set up a custom function something like this : function customValidationMethod(value, element, params){ } But can't see how i could use it with two fields, if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

  • minLength data validation is not working with Auth component for CakePHP

    Let's say I have a user registration and I'm using the Auth component (/user/register is allowed of course). The problem is if I need to set a minLength validation rule in the model, it doesn't work since the Auth component hashes the password therefore it's always more than my minlength password and it passes even if it's blank.
