  hi I am looking for code beautifier for UNIX/emacs. I have looked at gnu indent, artistic style, however I need something a bit different. For example, I would like the following: for( int x= 0;; ++ x) if(x) break; to be formatted as for (int x = 0; ; ++x) if (x) break;. As far as I can tell artistic style does not do that (correct me if I am wrong). What can you recommend? Thanks edit both, artistic style and indent remove whitespace.   This is a follow up to my previous question: link text In gridview's column i have a linkbutton and a label under it. I want to hide/unhide label when linkbutton is clicked. I use javascript because i don't want any postbacks.   I'm working with docx docs, and I need to parse a document into sections on the basis of headings styled with the "heading 1" style. So if I had a doc like this (markup is pseudocode): <doc> <title style>Doc Title</title style> <heading1>First Section</heading1> ... <heading2>Second Section</heading2> ... <heading3>Third Section</heading3> ... </doc> I'd want to break this into a doc with four sections, the first being the content that precedes the first section. I figure that this is probably pretty simple once you're familiar with Open XML, but I am not. TIA.

  Was about to finally submit an app when I realized that the youtube videos I'm playing play from the iPhone, but not the iPad.   In my Visual Studio 2010 WPF application, I have the following (simplified) style: <Style x:Key="MyStyle" TargetType="{x:Type CheckBox}"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="Blue" /> </Style> If I use it as the ElementStyle AND EditingElementStyle in my DataGridCheckBoxColumn: <DataGridCheckBoxColumn Binding="{Binding IsEnabled}" ElementStyle="{StaticResource MyStyle}" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource MyStyle}" /> Then my binding, IsEnabled, does not toggle when I check/uncheck a row's checkbox. If I remove either ElementStyle, EditingElementStyle, or both, then the binding updates no problem. Why is this?! Note: sometimes clicking around will produce an update to the binding (detected via debugging) - this is not the same as clicking another row to "commit" the value, though! Thanks!

• App Engine: Launching a script upon update/run

  Hi all. I'm working with App Engine and I'm thinking about using the LESS CSS extension in my next project. There's no good LESS CSS library written in Python so I went on with the original Ruby one which works great and out of the box. I'd like App Engine to execute lessc ./templates/css/style.less before running the development server and before uploading the files to the cloud. What is the best way to automate this? I'm thinking: #run.sh: lessc ./templates/css/style.less .gae/dev_appserver.py --use_sqlite . And #deploy.sh lessc ./templates/css/style.less .gae/appcfg.py update . Am I on the correct path or is there a more elegant way of doing things, perhaps at the appcfg.py level? Thanks.

• How to perform "shell" icon embedding in Visual Studio 2010?

  As far as I can tell, there have been (at least?) three types of icon embedding. There's the original style used by shell32.dll and friends, .Net's embedding, and the new type that WPF uses. I'm looking for how to perform the first one, as I want to have a few other icons available as resources for a jumplist, which can only accept that style. However, I can't figure out how to embed in this style, only the other two. How do I do this? All the results I find on google, etc are for adding icons to ResX files or similar. I am using C#, if it matters.

On webkit, the browser renders the first paragraph correctly but fails back to browser default settings on the last two. In fact, I have no experience in creating cookies in JS, only in PHP. Could someone come up with an example of how to make cookies the simpliest way remembering my option, but whenever someone clicks another one, it should get rid of the cookie that was last set, e.g. Cookie value has 15px, then should update it or remove it with a new cookie with a new value of 13px and so on.   I'm looking for a good jQuery or CSS, or combo, library to enance my left side menu in an an intranet application. I don't like the 'hover only' expand/collapse style of the ASP.NET Menu control on its own, and I don't like the 'icon-click only' expand/collapse style of the TreeView control on its own. I plan on trying the CSS Control Adapters, to render the menu with some self-respect, i.e. as nested <ul> or <ol> elements instead of the usual orgy of tables. Beyond that, I need something to give a bit of style and menulike behaviour to these nested lists, and I would prefer a jQuery plugin for this. Which should I use?

  I am using un-ordered lists that nests some divs to show the desired output on screen. I am using css to style them and they seem to look perfect on chrome and firefox. But in IE(8) it looks there is a problem which I was unable to locate.
