    I am looking for information on using mstscax.dll in VB. The goal is to create a utility that logs into a remote service in the same manner as remote desktop. However, my utility is not required to show the desktop. I have a series of commands that I will start off with that will look for users, reset logins, shadow, and message. I have been using a batch file on my RDP to perform these functions, but we are already looking for more functionality and power than what the batch commands can offer. I am googling 'mstscax.dll' but the results have been less than satisfactory although I continue to search. Does anyone have any good references? Is this even going to be possible?

    I have a daemon that is running as user nobody. It needs to copy a file that I specify into /Users/Shared/MyFolder If I tell it to copy a file that is already in /Users/Shared/ it works fine. If I tell it to copy it from somewhere in my home directory like the desktop, the copy fails. I'm using NSFileManager copyPath:toPath: Any ideas?

It seems like there should be a simpler way to do this. It's in an asp.net-mvc app, if that's relevant.

    My question is simple, the solution surely not. I am looking for a way to shape a JFrame the same as an Image it will be displaying. By shape I mean the shape of the pixels that have an alpha != 0. I've already found a working example using a GeneralPath object, but it created ~110000 "nodes" for an Image of about 500*400, so starting the JFrame took more than 2 minutes, which is definitely not the desired effect, the startup should be in under 2 seconds.     I have a ASP .NET load balanced application (webservice and website). It runs on SQL server. I need to be able to provide large files for download. However, because of the load balancing situation, the files are stored in the SQL database as opposed to the file system. BITS seems to be the best approach. I have full control of the client. However, i don't know how to configure BITS to read the file from the database. I know how to write the C# code for that, but i don't know how to get BITS to hook into it as opposed to reading the file from the file system. Any ideas?

    I've created a "format" to store segments of music (prelude part, repeated part, ending part) and time information for these segments (offset, scored length) so I can mix it up in real-time as if it were one piece of music, while repeating the repeated part (optionally) indefinitely. This way, the segments can store decay where the next segment is played, while the previous one is finished. (I've created a player for this in Java, and used the Clip class.) I wanted this format, so I can provide a finite length music (for a jukebox feature), while I play infinite length music in-games. However, when I wanted to code a class in XNA that manages this "format" I've noticed, that there is no obvious way to play "Songs" simultaneously/overlapped. How can I do this/what is the best practice, not leaving the XNA framework? (I don't want to create infinite play-lists.)

    Hello- Here's my setup. I have a viewcontroller that I'm creating and adding as a subview. The viewcontroller presents some options that a user can chose from. The viewcontroller is being pushed in response to a "long press" gesture. Within the viewcontroller, I added a child UIView to group some other controls together so I can move them around the screen as a unit and, when they are displayed, center them on the location of the long press. Here is the code that instantiates the view controller, changes its location, and adds it as a subview: UserOptions *opts = [[UserOptions alloc] initWithNibName:@"UserOptions" bundle:nil]; [opts recenterOptions:location]; [self.view addSubview:opts.view]; That bit of code does create and push the viewcontroller, but the call to recenterOptions doesn't do anything. Here is that method: - (void) recenterOptions:(CGPoint)location { CGRect oldFrame = self.optionsView.frame; CGFloat newX = location.x; // + oldFrame.size.width / 2.0; CGFloat newY = location.y; // + oldFrame.size.height / 2.0; CGRect newFrame = CGRectMake(newX, newY, oldFrame.size.width, oldFrame.size.height); self.optionsView.frame = newFrame; } Note that self.optionsView is the child UIView that I added to the viewcontroller's nib.     I'm trying to write a program that can stop and start services using SilverLight 3 and VS2010. I can't add the reference to the System.ServiceProcess dll. C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\System.ServiceProcess.dll 1st why? - It it just a security precaution? 2- Is there a work around? Does SilverLight have a different library that I can use to start and stop services. Also note that this is a desktop application and not a web app. It will be sitting on my desktop to toggle services on and off.

    Hi, i've developed an android app that's fetches an xml file and displays this data via several markers on the map. This works fine so far. The problem right now is that when i switch the orientation of the phone (portrait-landscape or vice versa) the markers disappear for a small moment, the xml processing is started again and then they reappear. Is there a way to prevent this re-loading of the file? It only takes about 2-3 seconds..so no big deal, but still disturbing
