  Hi, I had a pending changelist in my workspace. By mistake I reverted one of the files by reverting to depot. Eclipse wiped off the local history. I am not sure if perforce keeps any history for pending changelists. Could someone tell me if it is possible to recover such file. Thanks Nayn

• svn for emacs: how do you set author name and save password

I am trying to move to emacs from eclipse but I can't for the life of me figure out how to set my svn author name so it doesn't default the author name OR save the password so I don't have to type it in any each time. • Cocoa - Change text of label

  I've got a cocoa application that reads in a text file. I'd like to display that text in a multi-line label, but I for the life of me can't figure it out. I opened up my .nib file and poped a multi-line label down but after that I'm stuck. I don't have any experience working with XCode or Cocoa, mostly Eclipse, Visual Studio, and pretty much every other IDE except XCode which seems very foreign.

  I choosed a web project in order to do that i am using an IDE (Eclipse), database (DB2 universal driver) and Apache Tomcat server. So, by gods grace every thing has gone well but when I try to update data to DB2 database through JDBC code then I am getting an SQL DB error as :: DB2 SQL error: SQLCODE: -204, SQLSTATE: 42704, SQLERRMC: DB2ADMIN.REGISTER where register is my table name and even i logged in as db2admin but i think there is no connectivity established but still its not resolved

  When I use VIM or most modeless editors (Eclipse, NetBeans etc.) I frequently do the following. If I have similar text blocks and I need to change them all, I will change one, copy it (or use non-deleting yank), select next block I need and paste the changed version over it. If I do the same thing in emacs (select region and paste with C-y), it doesn't replace the region, it just pastes at the cursor position. What is the way to do this in emacs?

  I have a login controller that use the hibernate uniqueResult method. Everything works fine when i test it in eclipse's tomcat server. But when i deploy my webapps to tomcat server (on the same machine) it fails: it always returns null even i use the correct credential.   I'm getting an error in a JBOSS application: Static Method [addHeader] not found on JavaBean [class com.ppnet.webservice.WebserviceHeaderWriter] I have checked the WebserviceHeaderWriter.jar that gets deployed into JBOSS and checked it in eclipse. It looks as if it should have this method on it. I think that the JBoss application might be loading a different version of the WebserviceHeaderWriter.jar without this method on it, is there a way to check the location of the file that is getting loaded?

  I'm using omnifunc=pythoncomplete. When autocompleting a word (e.g., os.), I get the list of eligible class members and functions, as expected, as well as a scratch buffer preview window with documentation about the selected member or function. This is great, but after selecting the function I want, the preview window remains. I can get rid of it with ":pc", but I'd like it just to automatically disappear after I've selected my function, a la Eclipse. I've played around with "completeopt" but to no avail.

  I'm trying to set up Subversion on Ubuntu Linux. It seems to be working, except that when I made one change and tried svn status, I found about 100 files had been changed, in the .metadata directory. My ~/.subversion/config file currently contains the following line: global-ignores = *.o *.lo *.la *.al .libs *.so *.so.[0-9]* *.a *.pyc *.pyo *.rej *~ .*.swp .DS_Store What do I need to add to ignore the .metadata files? The directory under consideration is used by Eclipse for Python development using PyDev, if that matters.

Google app engine does not allow the use of java.net.proxy. Is there a way to configure eclipse so it knows that when I use URL.getContent() my local host will connect to that url through a proxy??

With eclipse export everything works fine, so product definition is correct. The icon file contains bmp in all sizes. Thanks for your help

  When I try to use assertNotLesser or assertNotGreater I get compile error .. and eclipse suggest me to create a new method called like this .. http://junit-addons.sourceforge.net/junitx/framework/ComparableAssert.html I found it here I never used these options before but I need to write this test, I can do it jmock as well but I don't know how .. I need to compare my expected results let say 0, if the real result is greater that the test should fail.
