• Is Google Analytics for Mobile available for Windows Mobile / Compact Framework

  Recently Google introduced an SDK for application usage tracking on mobile devices (Google Analytics for Mobile Apps). Unfortunately, it seems that it only supports IPhone and Android devices. Do you have any idea if this framework can somehow be used from Windows Mobile / Compact Framework applications or if Google is planning to release an SDK for WM? BTW, I don't mean a WM application for browsing through GA server reports, but an SDK for tracking your mobile app's usage.

  Now I use my own Java FTP program to ftp objects from my PC to my ISP's website server. I want to use Google App Engine's servlet to get Paypal IPN messages, then store the messages into my own objects and ftp the objects to my ISP's website server, is this doable ? I heard Google App Engine doesn't support FTP. I don't expect Google to do it for me, but can I use my own Java FTP program in the web app that I upload onto the App Engine to do it ? Frank

• Eclipse 3.5 Missing New Web Application option after installing Google App Engine plugin

  Hey all, I just used Eclipse 3.5 to install the Google App Engine plug in. The plug in is showed as installed in the update manager. However, I am not seeing the option to "New Web Application Project" (http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/java/tools/eclipse.html). I also don't see anything Google related when I type Google into the search bar under Windows Preferences. There were no errors at the time of installation, and I was asked if I wanted to restart Eclipse, clicked yes, and it restarted accordingly. Am I missing something?

  My application is used RavenDB-Embedded Unstable 1.2.2127 that it's intracted with ASP .Net Web API in the separated assemblies. When I use "UseEmbeddedHttpServer = true" on the document store, first time I send a request to RavenDB, it executes properly but when I try for the second time my application displays Raven Studio. However, if UseEmbeddedServer setting be removed then my application will be running without any problems. My RavenDB is configured with the following codes in data tier : this.documentStore = new EmbeddableDocumentStore { ConnectionStringName = "RavenDB", UseEmbeddedHttpServer = true } and implementation of Web.config have these settings in the service tier : <connectionStrings> <add name="RavenDB" connectionString="~\App_Data\RavenDatabase" /> </connectionStrings> Is there a setting I missed?

• Having trouble with event creation using the events.create API with the iPhone SDK

  I'm using the FBConnect library in my iPhone app, and I'm trying to create Facebook events. After getting a valid session and verifying permissions, I'm using events.create and getting what looks like a valid event ID back from FB in a success response. Oddly the event isn't showing up on my account's Events page either in current or in past events. I thought the problem might be that the event might not include me as an attendee so I followed the successful events.create call with an events.rsvp call to set my status to "attending". That also gets back success from FB, but I'm still not seeing anything show up. Am I missing a step? Is there something other than Create and then RSVP that I need to do, or is there an error with the api/Facebook? I don't think I'm missing any of the required fields for event creation (name and start_time) and I am populating a lot of the other fields in event_info...

• Authenticate sites with different domain names using the Facebook API

  We have a CMS that supports multiple sites, one of our features allows our users (The site admin) to connect to the site facebook account to allow status updates, create events and upload pictures to FB from with in the CMS. The authentication needs to occur once since each site may have multiple site admins that do not have access to the site FB user name and password. We use iframe and authenticate using $facebook-require_login() which redirects the user to the FB login and authentication pages. All this works just fine but when the user hits "Allow" the authentication will break as it will only redirect to whatever is in the "Post-Authorize Redirect URL" field making the app obsolete for any other domain except the one in the "Post-Authorize Redirect URL" I know other API's authentication methods like in Vimeo and YouTube will allow you to specify a NEXT parameter which is the equivalent of the "Post-Authorize Redirect URL" and it can be set at run time. How can I make this work for multiple domain names? Any hints on this issue will be of great help

Now I'm wondering if that same functionality exists for say a Nokia (Symbian) phone? Is there a way to set up the link to open the Google maps app on the Symbian phone?

I'm able to create a calendar per user just fine, but I would like to have FullCalendar retrieve the events for display purposes, without manually getting the magic cookie url from Google Calendar settings.   I hope I am not repeating any previously asked question. Anyway, so Google Wave is nice and shiny and sounds like a lot of folks(at least at Google I/O :) used it in a useful for work(!) way. I've been beta-testing Google Wave for sometime now, but can't quite grasp how to improve our workflow using it. We have a medium size team of developers that are spread out around US and Europe and naturally most of communication is happening via IM and Skype and email of course. So what are specific things that could be offloaded to Google Wave to improve collaboration by leaps and bounds(meaning not just replacing IM with nicer IM)?

  I am having a site and I want to add a button in my site that will link to the twitter login page and after login it will post a message to the Twitter home page of the user. '/photos', 'post', $args); print_r($data); This code is in a function.php file that gets called when a user clicks on a button inside of a flash file that is embedded on my canvas, so basically what I want it to do is, when the flash takes a screen shot and passes the variable "image" to the function, it should upload $_GET['image'] to the album.   I am supposed to display a certain location using Google Maps application. I have lat/long values and tried Intent.ACTION_VIEW with "geo:lat,long?z=15" uri. The Google Maps application loads centered on the supplied lat-long value but obviously does not display any marker(overlays) pin-pointing the location. Is it possible to request the Google Maps App to display markers? Also, the zoom level paramater doesnt seem to work. Maps load at the default zoom level of 10. I can easily achieve this using MapActivity but Google Map App is what is desired. Thanks

• accessing google maps via UIWebView - illegal?

  New to iPhone development. Working on first app. I'm accessing google maps via UIWebView to forward geocode an address using "http://maps.google.com/maps?q=my address". It works, although it has this quirk of requiring you to hit "Back" button and then the "Detail" button (provided by the navigation bar) to get back to the screen from whence you started. If anyone knows why it does this, I'd love to hear. My real question, however, is this a legal use of google maps? Since I intend this app for commercial use, am I violating Google's rules + regs? If it is illegal, what's my alternative? Thanks.
