If I make a SELECT DISTINCT the ProductID is different on every row so all the rows are unique.

    Hi. i'm trying to built in support for locations in my application and i'm expecting users to be inputting gps coordinates in a variety of ways. I need to convert all of the below to: latitude - direction (N/s), degres, minutes, seconds; longitude (E/W) - degrees, minuts, seconds. Each user input will be in a single line. eg: 9.182, -39.140625 9.182 / -39.140625 9.182,-39.140625 9.182 -39.140625 21° 16' 674S[some_separator]27° 30' 318E 21 16 674S[some_separator]27 30 318E [some_separator] may be a single space as well... The final format needs to beas: latitude.direction = south latitude.degrees = 21 latitude.minutes = 16 latitude.seconds = 674 longitude.direction = east longitude.degrees = 27 longitude.minutes = 30 longitude.seconds = 318 (a) what is the simplest way of asking ordinary-non-tech users to input the GPS coordinate?s (b) how do i convert the above to the final format? any built in functions that handle these variations in data input? i've seen http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2548943/gps-format-in-php - but i need to handle a more varied input.

    Hi all! have problems with mouseover in Mozilla and Chrome after making it work in IE, for sure I can tell you that my code woked perfectly in Chrome at least, cause thats my default browser and I used it for debuging when creating the javascipt and it worked nicely... until I tried to make it work in IE too.     Hi guys, I am implementing Naive Bayesian classifier for spam filtering. I have doubt on some calculation. Please clarify me what to do. Here is my question. In this method, you have to calculate P(S|W) - Probability that Message is spam given word W occurs in it. P(W|S) - Probability that word W occurs in a spam message. P(W|H) - Probability that word W occurs in a Ham message. So to calculate P(W|S), should I do (1) (Number of times W occuring in spam)/(total number of times W occurs in all the messages) OR (2) (Number of times word W occurs in Spam)/(Total number of words in the spam message) So, to calculate P(W|S), should I do (1) or (2)? (I thought it to be (2), but I am not sure, so plz clarify me) I am refering http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayesian_spam_filtering for the info by the way. In the your approach it wouldn't, right?. Lets take a scenario and discuss... Lets say, we have 100 training messages, out of which 50 are spam and 50 are Ham. and say word_count of each message = 100. And lets say, in spam messages word W occurs 5 times in each message and word W occurs 1 time in Ham message. So total number of times W occuring in all the spam message = 5*50 = 250 times. And total number of times W occuring in all Ham messages = 1*50 = 50 times. Total occurance of W in all of the training messages = (250+50) = 300 times. So, in this scenario, how do u calculate P(W|S) and P(W|H) ? Naturally we should expect, P(W|S) P(W|H)??? right. Please share your thought...

    I'm writing a library to process gaze tracking in Python, and I'm rather new to the whole numpy / scipy world. Essentially, I'm looking to take an array of (x,y) values in time and "paint" some shape onto a canvas at those coordinates. For example, the shape might be a blurred circle. The operation I have in mind is more or less identical to using the paintbrush tool in Photoshop. I've got an interative algorithm that trims my "paintbrush" to be within the bounds of my image and adds each point to an accumulator image, but it's slow(!), and it seems like there's probably a fundamentally easier way to do this. Any pointers as to where to start looking?

Their sequence must not be fixed. Then, there are multiple element under section node as well.   • Running an RMI registry on one computer and connecting to it from another

    Hello. I am doing a student assignment, using java RMI. I've programmed a simple RMI-server application that provides method which return some strings to the client. When I start the server on localhost and connect to it by client on the same computer, everything goes well. However, I am not able to do this between two computers on home network. The computers both have no trouble of connecting by a simple C program with similar functionality, so I guess the problem is with JVM here. I am binding the class to rmiregistry with try{ ComputeImpl R = new ComputeImpl(); Naming.rebind("rmi://localhost/ComputeService",R); } catch(Exception e){ System.out.println("Trouble: " +e); } And I'm doing the lookup for RMI registry in the client application with providing the argument while launching the application: StringBuffer rmi_address = new StringBuffer(); rmi_address.append("rmi://").append(args[1]).append("/ComputeService"); Compute R = (Compute) Naming.lookup(rmi_address.toString()); Is the problem with my code or with JVM?
