    I have a NIB that contains a UINavigationController which has a UIViewController. The UIViewController is being loaded externally from another nib. I am unable to set the view property thus I get the error: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: '-[UIViewController _loadViewFromNibNamed:bundle:] loaded the "LBRootViewController" nib but the view outlet was not set.' How can I set my view property correctly?

    I was wondering if there is a tool (automator script or a third party) to generate code for simple scenarios like add another property. I don't like going to two or three places and write the same thing over and over again. instead I want to say "I want a new property of type int with name X" and it generates the lines in .h and .m files for me in one go.

  • NSCollectionView draws nothing

    I'm trying to set up an NSCollectionView (I have done this successfully in the past, but for some reason it fails this time). I have a model class called "TestModel", and it has an NSString property that just returns a string (just for testing purposes right now). I then have an NSMutableArray property declaration in my main app delegate class, and to this array I add instances of the TestModel object. I then have an Array Controller that has its Content Array bound the app delegate's NSMutableArray. I can confirm that everything up to here is working fine; NSLogging: [[[arrayController arrangedObjects] objectAtIndex:0] teststring] worked fine. I then have all the appropriate bindings for the collection view set up, (itemPrototype and content), and for the Collection View Item (view). I then have a text field in the collection item view that is bound to Collection View Item.representedObject.teststring. However NOTHING displays in the collection view when I start the app, just a blank white screen. What am I missing? I can verify that the Array Controller has the objects in it by NSLogging [arrayController arrangedObjects], and it returns the correct object. Its just that nothing displays in the NSCollectionView. UPDATE 2: If I log [collectionView content] I get nothing: 2009-10-21 08:02:42.385 CollViewTest[743:a0f] ( ) The problem is probably there. UPDATE 3: As requested here is the Xcode project: http://www.mediafire.com/?mjgdzgjjfzw Its a menubar app, so it has no window.     Using XNA 4.0, I am currently playing songs from the user's PC/XBox360 using the following: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Media.MediaPlayer.Play(Song song); I see that MediaPlayer has a static Property PlayPosition that, as I've researched, used to be a get/set property, but it has been updated to get-only. Are there any other methods/tricks I can use to explicitly set the playing position of a currently playing song?

  • Multiple View App shows Blank Screen in Simulator

    Hello; I am developing a simple app that first shows a menu screen, and when a button is pressed, a game screen appears. I was able to develop the game screen without any issues, but when I changed the code to first display the menu, the simulator showed a blank screen. I've read all the articles on connecting views with IB but I can't figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.   • Is there any syntax checker for knockout.js?

    I like knockout.js, the only problem is Visual Studio knows nothing about this framework, so it does not prevent me from silly things like assigning some value to observable property with '=' operator which makes it regular property, and it's not easy to reveal at compile time and often at runtime even. I wonder is there any syntax checker/highlighter for Visual Studio 2010 that helps me prevent faults like this? What about VS 2011? It might be a great help for developers who are new to knockout.   • Silverlight: Set Items Widths in ItemsControl to Stretch

    I've got an ItemsControl which fills from top to bottom, but I can't get it's child items to occupy the whole width of the ItemsControl: I basically need to stretch the green bits to fill the width of the control (as shown by the blue bits). I've tried things like setting the HorizontalAlignment property of the template item to Stretch and I've even tried binding it's Width property to the ItemsControl Width, but neither worked. Should be a straight forward one, but it's something I just can't quite figure out...

  • Eclipselink read complex oject model in an ordered way

    Hi, I need to read a complex model in an ordered way with eclipselink. The order is mandantory because it is a huge database and I want to have an output of a small portion of the database in a jface tableview. Trying to reorder it in the loading/quering thread takes too long and ordering it in the LabelProvider blocks the UI thread too much time, so I thought if Eclipselink could be used that way, that the database will order it, it might give me the performance I need. In the table view the x-axis is more or less created with the query Query q = em.createQuery("SELECT m FROM Item m ORDER BY m.name ASC"); using the "name" attribute from the Item objects as label. Each cell has the value Things.getProperties().get[x].getValue() Unfortunately the list "properties" is not ordered, so the combination of cell value and x-axis column number (x) is not necessarily correct. Therefore I need to order the list "properties" in the same way as I ordered the labeling of the x-axis. And exactly this is the thing I dont know how it is done. So querying for the Thing objects should return the list "properties" "ORDER BY name ASC" but of the "Item"s objects. My ideas are something like having a query with two JOINs. Joing Things with Property and with Item but somehow I was unable to get it to work yet. Thank you for your help and your ideas to solve this riddle.

If i up the subclasses in xml all is well, but not from code.   • Datamapper, defining your own object methods, how?

    So lets say I have a class like below class List include DataMapper::Resource property :id, Serial property :username, String def self.my_username return self[:username] end end list=List.create(:username=>,'jim') list.my_username When I run this it tells me that the method cannot be found, and on more investigation that you can only define class methods(not object methods) and that class methods don't have access to objects data. Is there any way to have these methods included as object methods and get access to object data? I'm using Ruby 1.8.6 and the latest version of datamapper.

  • get GET parameters in JSF's managed bean

    Hello! Can someone tell me how to catch parameters passed from URI in JSF's managed bean? I have a navigation menu all nodes of which link to some navigation case. And i have two similar items there: Acquiring products and Issuing products. They have the same page but one different parameter: productType. I try to set it just by adding it to URL in "to-view-id" element like this: <navigation-case> <from-outcome>acquiring|products</from-outcome> <to-view-id>/pages/products/list_products.jspx?productType=acquiring</to-view-id> </navigation-case> <navigation-case> <from-outcome>issuing|products</from-outcome> <to-view-id>/pages/products/list_products.jspx?productType=issuing</to-view-id> </navigation-case> But i can't get this "productType" from my managed bean. I tried to get it through FacesContext like this: FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequestParameterMap().get("productType") And like this: HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest(); request.getParameter("productType"); And i tried to include it as a parameter of managed bean in faces-config.xml and then getting it through ordinary setter: <managed-bean> <managed-bean-name>MbProducts</managed-bean-name> <managed-bean-class>my.package.product.MbProducts</managed-bean-class> <managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope> <managed-property> <property-name>productType</property-name> <value>#{param.productType}</value> </managed-property> </managed-bean> ... public class MbProducts { ... public void setProductType(String productType) { this.productType = productType; } ... } But neither of these ways have helped me. All of them returned null. How can i get this productType? Or how can i pass it some other way?

  • objective-c default init method for class?

    Hello, I have two differing methods for initializing my objective-c class. One is the default, and one takes a configuration parameter. Now, I'm pretty green when it comes to objective-c, but I've implemented these methods and I'm wondering if there's a better (more correct/in good style) way to handle initialization than the way I have done it. Meaning, did I write these initialization functions in accordance with standards and good style? It just doesn't feel right to check for the existence of selfPtr and then return based on that. Below are my class header and implementation files. Also, if you spot anything else that is wrong or evil, please let me know.
