• Help with validation rules

  I am trying to figure out how to validate a section of a form using php. If at least one of value 1-5 is checked, then at least one of value A-E must be checked. Value's A-E cannot be allowed without at least one of 1-5 being checked. Multiple values in each section can be selected, as long as there is at least one value in each section checked. I have tried individual IF statements and arrays without success. Does anyone have any suggestions or examples? I am missing something and I am certain it is pretty obvious, right in my face.

  Hi I am having a problem, accessing a remote index server catalog. The name of the server has - in it, so i put the index catalog name as: i.e num.num.num.num\name of catalog or an-example-server I get the following error when using an ole data connection to pull results from the index: "Format of the initialization string does not conform to specification starting at index 39" I tried putting single quotes and &qoute; with no luck - anyone have idea?   to get metadata for audio file i can use: NSDictionary *aMetadata = [aPath MDIAttributes:[aPath allMDIAttributesNames]]; but it doesn't work with remote files, in case of images i solved this problem with CGImageSourceRef and so on functions. Does anybody know something like this for audio files?

  Hi, I try to localize error messages from the Domain classes. This is possible with the default error messages, e.g.: default.blank.message=Property [{0}] cannot be blank and localized attribute names, e.g.: customer.address.label=Customer address Where "Customer" is my domain class and address is its attribute. My problem is that I can't localize some attributes because I need specific error messages. E.g: has.to.be.a.number=Property [{0}] has to be a number contingent.size.label=Contingent size. But the message I get is "Property [size] has to be a number" instead of "Property [Contingent size] has to be a number". The messages I cant localize are following: - Property [{0}] has to be a number - Property [{0}] has to be a valid date // I can't use g:datePicker in this context

• Data validation between SQL replicated tables

  Hi All, I am trying to figure out a way to validate the data in my publisher and subscriber in SQL 2005 replication. I thought of using sp_publication_validation, but it needs db_owner permission and we are not allowed to have it in our company. So I did bit more reading and found out about two other SPs that I think work for me. First one is sp_article_validation, which I plan to run on the publisher. For each article that I call this SP, its gonna give the row count and a checksum. With that info, I intend to call sp_table_validation on the subscriber, passing the row count and checksum from the previous SP, there by validating both tables. What do you guys think? Is this a proven way to validate data in replication? There is very little documentation on these SPs. • WMF image data validation?

  There is an image capturing device which gives its output in wmf. This output is stored in the database directly. We have cases where at times some of these images do not appear on a web page in IE. But if we right click on the page we are able to save the image on to the hard disk; meaning the image does exist on the page, but does not appear visible. I think this is because of some file corruption issue, but I don't know how to resolve it. We are however able to view such files using MS Picture Viewer (desktop app). Is there anyway we can detect such problematic files?

  I was making multiple remote calls and they are done sequentially and when I am getting a result event back it's triggering calls to all the methods with ResultEvent as an argument . I am supposed to receive the result event only in the method given inthe event listener but it's triggering calls to all the methods with ResultEvent as an argument . The service returns results successfully when invoked locally from the server, but it fails when invoked from a remote client machine (not in the same domain). I see the request fail in the firebug returning error (401 UnAuthorized) and the response has the following error (Request format is unrecognized for URL unexpectedly ending in '/List').

• Trying to connect to a remote server using Eclipse

  I have an Ubuntu server running Tomcat, and I want to connect my Eclipse EE to it so I can work with JSP. I have no problem connecting to a similar Tomcat service when it's installed on my machine (not a server), but whenever I try to connect to the remote server I don't seem to have the option of choosing a Tomcat service.   I'm looking for a simple DB2 query that can be used to test if a database connection in pool is still valid. It needs to be a generic query that would execute regardless of which databases exist.
