    Which is the best way to manage a website with one or more mirrors so that: Google don't consider it as "dupicated content" The website is correctly indexed No inconsistencies or duplicated information are present in Google Analytics The Google webmaster guidelines in general are respected NOTE: I'm not sure if I should ask this question here or in ServerFault.   • The "Update" button in ArcFM Attribute Editor is disabled.

    I am not been able to update any of the attributes in one of my feature classes using the Arc FM Attribute editor, but I am able to update it thru the ESRI Attribute editor. Please lemme know if somebody knows the reason. I am using Arc SDE 9.3.1 with ArcFM 9.3 and ArcMap 9.3 Note:I am in selection Tab and not in Target tab.     In MS SQL is it possible to share an identity seed across tables? For example I may have 2 tables: Table: PeopleA id name Table: PeopleB id name I'd like for PeopleA.id and PeopleB.id to always have unique values between themselves. I.e. I want them to share the same Identity seed. Note: I do not want to hear about table partitioning please, only about if it's possible to share a seed across tables.

    Reading some piece of code and I keep seeing this : public override bool Equals (object obj) { if (obj == null || this.GetType ().Equals (obj.GetType())) return false; //compare code... } Shouldn't it be like this (note the !): public override bool Equals (object obj) { if (obj == null || !this.GetType ().Equals (obj.GetType())) return false; //compare code... } Or does the equals perform differently in this case?

    I'd like to take user input (sometimes this will be large paragraphs) and generate a LaTeX document. I'm considering a couple of simple regular expressions that replaces all instances of "\" with "\textbackslash " and all instances of "{" or "}" with "\}" or "\{". I doubt this is sufficient. What else do I need to do? Note: In case there is a special library made for this, I'm using python.

    I am in a tech lead role and my developers get stuff right most of the time. How do I communicate to them thier value to me? (I.e. they have value because I do not have to go through and point out mistakes which means I do not have to watch them like a hawk which frees me to do more useful things). In summary For doing the mundane well on a day to day basis, it is good to recognise the developers effort verbally to them. An honest thankyou that mentions the specific behaviour and its positive repercussions to you personally will be well received, adjust the language to suite each individual. (Note that other developers within earshot may also respond to this by increasing their efforts in this specific activity.) Other things that should be done regularly are: Team drinks In many cultures this is an entirely worthy way of giving the team some time to socialise and relax. Be sure that you do not exclude people who do not drink or are not keen on pub culture. Shared meals are another option. Formal written (email) acknowledgment and praise to senior managers of the teams efforts and successes. (Note that acknowledging individuals alone may damage team spirit) Work the hours you expect your team to do. If they absolutely must work late for a deadline, be there in support Go to bat for the team. Refuse to let them be forced to work long periods of overtime without compensation. Protect them from level politics and stress. Give your team the best equipment you can afford. Good tools show respect and improve productivity. Small or large team rewards where appropriate can consist of many interesting activities/ items. If it allows the team to get together in a fun and even lightly competitive manner it will work (foosball table, go-karting, darts board, video game console etc). Don’t forget to listen to what the team wants, each team will have different ideas. Ensure they are getting a fair deal financially from the company. While different people may have different expectations of their pay, someone being paid unfairly will rot morale for the entire team

    Is there a way I can pick video using photo-picker-plus instead of a photo? When I check the media type using: NSString *mediaType = [info objectForKey: UIImagePickerControllerMediaType]; I always get public.image (even when I pick a video). On a related note, is there any other SDK similar to photo-picker-plus for picking video from different sources? UIImagePickerController could be an option. But, I am looking for something that is as versatile as photo-picker-plus. Anil

    Hi, Similar to LocalServer32, which is used to specify the path to a 32Bit Local COM server, is there any registry entry for specifying the path to a 64Bit Local COM Server? If there is none, can we use LocalServer32 for 64Bit servers also? Note: In my knowledge there are only 2 registry entries - LocalServer and LocalServer32. Why does it output file names like this? And how do I get it to output backslashes, so I can use del on those files? Thanks
