  • Good Email Tagging Plugin for Thunderbird 10.0.2?

    I like to tag my emails in Mozilla Thunderbird 10.0.2, but the tagging system that is built in just isn't sufficient, I want to use something a little closer to the suggest tag system that is built into Stackexchange, where existing tags will display as I type them, and they will be separated using some sort of delimiter (such as a space or a comma). Does anyone know of any mail tagging plugins like that?

  • Does the mplayer-mozilla plugin have a problem with long DIVX videos or is this a problem with the U

    Pretty consistently when I'm watching a long DIVX movie in the browser on Karmic - say 2 hours or so - the mplayer-mozilla player stops after a half-hour or an hour and resets back to 0, so I have to reload the whole movie again over the web. It happens repeatedly so I never get past the half-way point in the DIVX version of the movie - I have to watch a flash version instead. I don't know if this is an mplayer issue or a Firefox memory issue. Anyone have any idea how to resolve this?

  • How to reinstate toolbars on an embedded PDF with Firefox and Adobe Reader plugin?

    Using Firefox I was viewing a PDF file embedded within a web page, with the toolbar available. After right-clicking to deselect the toolbar (I was testing something) I cannot find a way to reinstate them. Since the toolbar is enabled by right clicking on the toolbar area, when it's disabled, it's not obvious how to reenable it. When the toolbars have been disabled and no longer visible, how do you reinstate them? Version info: Firefox 3.6.3 Adobe Reader 9.3 Kubuntu 10.04

  • How to enable the flash player plugin in IE8?

    I updated to IE8 the other day on my Vista laptop, mostly because Windows Update kept bugging me about it. As a Chrome user, I don't really care so much about IE8, but I do have to use it occaisionally to test website compatibility. At any rate, flash seems to be completely deactivated, and I don't see a place to re-enable it anywhere in the preferences. I've done a bit of googling on the issue, but only found information about how to disable flash, not how to actually enable it. I have the flash 10 debug player installed, and it works fine with Chrome and Firefox. What could be the matter?

  • Spotlight on an ACE: Edwin Biemond

    Edwin Biemond is an active member of the ACE community, having worked with Oracle's development tooling and database technologies since 1997. Since then, Edwin has become an expert in many of Oracle's middleware technologies as well, including WebLogic and SOA. In fact, Edwin has become so prolfic that he was named the Java Developer of the Year in 2009. Edwin hails from the Netherlands, where he is an architect at the company Amis, and is also a co-author of the OSB Development Cookbook. He's a proven expert in ADF, JSF, messaging (Edifact / ebXML), Enterprise Service Bus, web services and tuning of application servers and databases. Recently, Edwin posted a blog on the road map of WebLogic 12c, going over salient features and what the future looks like for Fusion Middleware and the Application Server areas - it's well worth a read, so give it a look. A snippet: WebLogic 12.1.3 will be the first version for many FMW 12c products like Oracle SOA Suite 12c and probably come in one big jar. 12.1.3 & 12.1.4 will add extra features and improvements to Elastic JMS & Dynamic Clusters. Elastic JMS in 12.1.3 will support Server Migration so you can’t lose any JMS messages. In 12.1.4, Dynamic Clusters will have support for auto-scaling based on thresholds based on user-defined metrics.     The WebLogic console timeout is a great feature for security, yet a horrible feature during development.  Logging in over and over again gets to be annoying.  This is very easy to change, but I would never do this on a production system!   Find the WebLogic consoleapp weblogic.xml file.  This is typically in your WL_HOME/server/lib/consoleapp/webapp/WEB-INF/ directory. It helps us a lot to understand ADF performance bottlenecks and tune slow ADF BC View Objects or optimise large ADF BC fetches from DB. There is special update implemented for OOW'13 - advanced ADF BC statistics are collected directly from your application ADF BC runtime and later displayed as graphical information in the dashboard.     If you installed OIF 11g on OEL 6.2 64bit and passed all the interesting gotchas but got stumped by this error in the WLS admin logs, and Enterprise Manager refuses to start correctly after what appeared to be a full successful install and configuration:  ...  <User defined listener oracle.sysman.eml.app.ContextInitializer failed: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HTTPClient/ProtocolNotSuppException. java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HTTPClient/ProtocolNotSuppException     at oracle.sysman.eml.app.ContextInitializer.contextInitialized(ContextInitializer.java:1035) ...
