• Google Maps : How to open an InfoWindow by hovering a link?

  Hi there, i have a very simple question about Google Maps API. In this case, i have on my page a map on the left, with about 40 points, and the list of these 40 points on the right. So you know, when you click on a point of the map, the "info window" is displayed so you can see some informations about it. I can't find how can i do to simply open the "info window" on the map, by making a "hover" on the corresponding link. (and by the way, close all the others info windows) Did someone have an idea about this? Thanks a lot, have a nice day! :)

  Need some help figuring out how to best Store Passwords, User information/Profile data and Photo/Video albums for a social website? For photos/videos the actual photo/video + even encrypting the URL with the IDs to the photo/videos so other users cannot figure it out. Creating a site like myspace and designing retirement documents but i am unsure how to specify the security requirements for the database. Two things: 1) Protect from outside users 2) Protect all these from employees being able to access this info For #2, the additional question is: If we encrypt the user info and password so even the system admins cannot get in, how can we retrieve the user data tomorrow if someone flags the user's account as spam and admin needs to check it out or if law enforcement wants info on a user?   I am currently trying to sanitize some log files so they are in an easier format to read, and have been trying to use the gnu cut command, which works fairly well, although I cannot really think of a good way to remove the [INFO] part of the string logs/logs/server_1283258036.log:2010-08-31 23:06:51 [INFO] <NateMar> where?! logs/logs/server_1281904775.log:2010-08-15 22:59:53 [INFO] <BoonTheMoon> §b<BoonTheMoon>§ohhhhhh I would ultimately want to get the strings down to something that resembles the following 2010-08-31 23:06:51 <NateMar> where?! 2010-08-15 22:59:53 <BoonTheMoon> ohhhhhh how should I go about doing this? Have thought about using awk, although Im having a difficult time getting a grip on how that would work, so not sure how to set up something to do that, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

• Reconstructing simple 3d enviroment(room) from photo

  I have photo of a room with three walls and floor/ceiling or both. I am trying to reconstruct this room in 3d asking user for minimal input. Right now I use 8 points defined by user, angles of left and right wall(they can be quite different from 90) and one size "InLeftBottom-InRightBottom"(I need to have real size of this room for later use). I have no info about user's camera(I can read EXIF to get FOV and use constant height but this can be only used as additional info). Is this possible to ask user for less info? Maybe it's possible to get wall angles without user interaction? Or maybe I am completly wrong and should use different approach?

• Why does the infobox in my MSN Map not close?

  I'm having a bit of trouble with this map, invoked by the "View our interactive map" button in the middle of the content area. If you double click a point such as 8 which causes a zoom and then afterwards it causes the info box to appear, the hide logic is wrong. If you try to close the x, it will fail. This is probably because the user clicked too fast and the map thinks its in zoom mode when infact it should be in info box mode. Has anyone ran into this issue before? Looks like I have to mess around with window.ero.hide and some other functions.. because map.HideInfoBox doesn't hide the map. EDIT: The script used is here. I did not code it, but the relevant bit has: onclick="EnableEroHide();map.HideInfoBox();changePin();return false;" The map.HideInfoBox() should hide the info box.

  Hi, In a small test project, I currently have the provider sections in the web.config. I want to move that to a separate config file, like providers.config. My current provider instantiation code is like: //Get the feature's configuration info ProviderConfiguration pc = (ProviderConfiguration)ConfigurationManager.GetSection(DATA_PROVIDER_NAME); This code works if the provider info is in web.config, but how to I read this info from another file (like providers.condfig) because it seems that the ConfigurationManager "reads" only web.config file. I may be missing something very simple here :) Would love to get more inputs on this. Thanks V

  Hey guys, I am new to android programming and i am trying to make an app that will interface with a website i have. It is a movie website with all of its information stored in SQL database. I know how to write the requests and queries in .asp but dont know how to get information from the database in my app. I want the user to be able to enter a movie title, and through a couple of stored procedures that are in my SQL database, return the info on that movie(actor, budget, genre....). I would like to have little info stored on the device, have all of the queries being sent to my SQL server and just have the info being returned.   I am trying to create an option in the right-click menu that is dynamic based on the user's action. If the user selects some text, then right-clicks, the option will say "Display It". If the user right-clicks without selecting some text, the option will say "Select Some Text First" and be grayed out. I am wondering how do I achieve this? I currently have it so that the option will appear only when the user has selected some text.   Hi. I intend to make some software to be sold over internet. I've only created open-source before, so I have really no idea of how to protect it from being cracked and distributed as warez. Bearing in mind that I know like two programms that aren't either cracked or not really useful I decided that the only more or less reliable way may look like this: Connect to a server and provide licensing info and some sort of hardware summary info If everything is fine, the server returns some crucial missing parts of the program bound to that certain pc along with the usage limit of say 2 days That crucial stuff is not saved to hard drive, so it is downloaded every time the program starts, if the programm runs more than 2 days, data is downloaded again If the same info is used from different computers, suspend the customer account What do you think about this? It may seem a bit to restrictive, but I'd better make less sales at first then eventually see my precious killer app downloaded for free. Anyways, first I need some basic theory/tutorials/guides about how to ensure that user only uses a certain Java app if he has paid for it, so please suggest some. Thanks

Is it possible for me to change to URL as below. http://example.nl/dealer-info/dealer-informatie/91/dealer-name or http://example.nl/dealer-info/dealer-informatie/?n=91/dealer-name My purpose is to just to add /dealer-name to the URL. How can I change the URL for a single page in Wordpress? Given that I don't want to change the permalinks which will affect the whole site. I'm aware the fact that this can be done using .htaccess but I don't the how to do it. Help me out if possible.

• How would I get an img element to render under a background-image in CSS.

  Basically, I am trying to put a semi-transparent div over an image to serve as a background for text for a slideshow. Unfortunately, the browser seems intent on always rendering the img over the background-image. Is there any way to fix this? Here is my current CSS for the semi-transparent div: #slideshow .info { height: 80px; margin-top: -80px; background: url(../../images/slideshow-info-pixel.png) repeat; } ... with slideshow-info-pixel.png being a single pixel, 50% opacity, PNG 24. I have so far tried z-index and the CSS must be compatible with IE6.

  im an intern at a database mngmt company and the boss is training me in access...i took the access tutorials and were definitely not enough info involved to do a what seems a simple task.my problem is this: i have a simple table with contact info with 16 colums (Local_Utility, Requested_User_Type, First_Name, Last_Name, Address 1, Address 2, Country, State, City, Zip, Phone_Number, Username\Email, Password, Confirm Password, and Parcel_Number), with 6 rows of names (keep in mind this is just a test to help me from the boss) I created a form and with 2 drop down boxes (Last Name and State) and im trying to create a view button to view an individual report for a query i made for just simple contact info with 6 colums (Last_Name, First_Name, Address1, City, State, and Phone_Number) Problem1 is that i can view the query with the view by name or state button but cant view a simple individual report from the query using the button Problem2 is that for criteria on the query i put Forms!frmMyparamForm!txtMyStateParamField for the state drop box it works, but when i use Forms!frmMyparamForm!txtMyNameParamField it doesnt and that annoying parameter box pops up Problem3 is that after i close the query, all the states and names in my dropdown box on the form disappear Im a beginner at this please help me

US govt e-card scam hits confidential data A fake U.S. government Christmas e-card has managed to siphon off gigabytes of sensitive data from a number of law enforcement and military staff who work on cybersecurity matters, many of whom are involved in computer crime investigations. Security tool uncovers multiple bugs in every browser Michal Zalewski reports that he discovered the vulnerability in Internet Explorer a while ago using his cross_fuzz fuzzing tool and reported it to Microsoft in July 2010. Zalewski also used cross_fuzz to discover bugs in other browsers, which he also reported to the relevant organisations. Microsoft to fix Windows holes, but not ones in IE Microsoft said that it will release two security bulletins next week fixing three holes in Windows, but it is still investigating or working on fixing holes in Internet Explorer that have been reportedly exploited in attacks. Microsoft warns of Windows flaw affecting image rendering Microsoft has warned of a Windows vulnerability that could allow an attacker to take control of a computer if the user is logged on with administrative rights.
