  • Is there a JQuery DOM manipulator/CSS selector equivalent class in PHP?

    I know that I can use DOMDocument and DOMXPath to manipulate XML files. But, I really love JQuery, and it would be great if there was something more like JQuery in the PHP world that I could use for sever side DOM manipulation. NOTE: I'm only interested here in how JQuery Selects and Manipulates the DOM, not all the other parts of JQuerry (I guess you can say just the Pop and the Sizzle parts).

    Hello, I use the bellow code to load the main menu elements from some CMS, the present code is perfect except that it loads ALL the main items on a single line of menu - which will make the width of it unusable in any centered design (under 1000px).. I want to change this script so after 15 main elements will add a "MORE" button under which the rest of the main menu items will show as sub-items of this "MORE" button (they will not have their own sub-items as the first 15 do)..     I don't know how php.ini was configured since I don't have access to it. But on top of my php code file I have error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('display_errors', '1'); But still, if there is an error, e.g. missing a ")", the page is blank. It is so painful to debug without error message. Why were the errors not shown?

  • Writing direct to disk with php

    I would like to create an upload script that doesn't fall under the php upload limit. There might be an occasion where I need to upload a 2GB, or larger file and I don't want to have to change the whole server execution to above 32MB. Is there a way to write direct to disk from php? What method might you propose someone would use to accomplish this? I have read around stack overflow but haven't quite found what I am looking to do.

  • php/ldap - bind fails but errorno doesn't execute

    I am trying to connect to ldap with a php web application. If the username/password is correct everything works fine however if the username/password is incorrect I get the following error: PHP Warning: ldap_bind() [function.ldap-bind]: Unable to bind to server: Invalid credentials for some reason I am not able to look at the errorno or the state of the bind variable afterwards to print the appopriate user friendly error message. any ideas?
