  • Visual studio 2010 ajax control toolkit tab container

    Hi. We just upgraded to visual studio 2010 RC1 and all of a sudden our controls inside tabcontainer disappeared from the designer file. Actually, it all seemed good in the beginning, the project compiled nicely, but as soon as we did any change in the markup of a page and build the code for the controls inside the tabcontainer disappeared and we got errormessages like so "Error 3 The name 'ddlPeriodicityStartInMonth' does not exist in the current context " Does anyone know if any changes are made to tabcontainer to visual studio 2010 or if this just is a bug? Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I have a problem with a list in srss 2005. The list is grouping too much information and I dont know how to un-group it. I made a picture to show it. But because I'm new, I can only show it with this link: http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/6058/listproblem.gif So the list is also grouping the weeks, but that is not what I would like.   • How to get MySite navigation bar to show up on a sub-site that is also using the mysite.master page

    Hi, We have a created a subsite to the SharePoint 2010 Mysite (used blank site) called "home". This site uses the mysite.master master page. The problem is the top link (navigation) bar from MySite is not showing up on the subsite... Any ideas? If I open the home site in Share Point Designer - the navigation bar does show up... But not in the browser... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Terry

I am wondering how to access current item in a list through visual studio 2010 and use and assign values from its fields to variables or items in another list automatically using C# code.     I am a designer whose main marketing strategy is multi browser compatibility. I assure my clients that the site will work even in IE6 (!). Of late i have been pondering over the question of moving to HTML 5. The reason behind my apprehension is that IE6 is still a major player in terms of market share and i don't want to lose it. Is there any way of moving to HTML 5 and still promise multi browser compatibility? Thank you.

  • LINQ: Create persistable Associations in Code, Without Foreign Key

    Hello, I know that I can create LINQ Associations without a Foreign Key. The problem is, I've been doing this by adding the [Association] attribute in the DBML file (same as through the designer), which will get erased again after I refresh my database (and reload the entire table structure). I know that there is the MyData.cs file (as part of the DBML) in which I can place my partial extensions etc. to domain objects (to persist even after I refresh the DBML), but I don't know how to create an association there?

Now, i figure out that i have to write buddy class for every model or i have to go to designer generated code and put my annotations there (not a good idea though). if someone can suggest me a solution that helps me avoid writing those buddy classes and get the same functionality.     I'm just beginning to use Linq-to-SQL and it's just wonderful to use. The problem is, this software is going to be run on a lot of machines and each machine will have a unique connection string. Is there a way for me to manually set the connection the Linq-to-SQL (.dbml) uses? The way I'm doing things now is creating the .dbml file, and in the graphic designer I'm dragging tables from the Server Explorer to the white board of the .dbml.

It just does not seem to work no matter where I place the [Key] attribute.
