  • Using Office 2007 extension (i.e. docx) for skin based On-Screen keyboard.

    Hi guys, I'm creating a On-Screen keyboard for my application, and it supports skins as well. Here's what I'm doing with the skins, I have a folder which contains some images and a xml file which maps the images to the keyboard, I want to be able to have the folder as a zip file like in Office 2007 (.docx) and iPhone firmwares (.ipsw), I know I can simply zip the folder and change the extension, what I need to know is how to read the files in the code.   • Access 2007 can I capture the "clicked" field using an OnClick event on a report?

    In Access 2007 I want to be able to click on a name field in a report and call a separate report with personal information about the person who's name was clicked to start the event. This would be as an alternative to creating a subreport or including the subreport fields in the main report in the interest of saving space. How do I reference the value of the clicked field for use in a query called with the OnClick event? Thanks for your help.

    In am using MS Word via OLE to produce documents from my application. I want to give the users that have MS Office 2007 SP2 installed the ability to save the documents as PDF. This is only available in SP2, and the option should be hidden if the service pack is not installed (and of course also for users of previous versions of MS Office). Is this information available anywhere, like in the registry or any configuration file?

    I have the following text: abcdef<CONVERSION>abcabcabcabc<2007-01-12><name1><2007-01-12>abcabcabcabc<name2><2007-01-11>abcabcabcabc<name3><2007-02-12>abcabcabcabc<name4>abcabcabcabc<2007-03-12><name5><date>abcabcabcabc<name6> I need to use regular expressions in order to clean the above text: The basic extraction rule is: <2007-01-12>abcabcabcabc<name2> I have no problem extracting this pattern. My issue is that within th text I have malformed sequences: If the text doesn't start with a date, and end with a name my extraction fails. For example, the text above may have several mal formed sequences, such as: abcabcabcabc<2007-01-12><name1> Should be: <2007-01-12>abcabcabcabc<name1> Is it possible to have a regular expression that would clean the above, prior to extracting my consistent pattern. In short, i need to find all mal formed patterns, and then take the date tag and put it in front of it, as provided in the example above. Thanks.

  • Anonymous user permission issue in SharePoint Server

    Hello everyone, I am using SharePoint Server 2007 x64 and Windows Server 2008 x64. I have setup a site with template publishing portal. I have grant anonymous access to all the site. My question is, if I create a new page, how to grant permission to anonymous user to access (read permission) the page? I got this confusion because, for the permission setting of a page, a permission is set according to a user name (e.g. read permission for user "foo" of a page). Since anonymous user does not have a related "user name", how could I grant read permission to anonymous user? BTW: I use Windows Forms authentication and Windows NTLM authentication for my sites. I want to utilize SharePoint to manage work items and I want to let gurus here to recommend me some good tutorials for newbie like me for this field (better through configuration ways, not through coding).   • SharePoint - force user to accept AUP when first logging in etc

    We're looking to move a bespoke intranet across to SharePoint. One query that has come up is whether we can do the following easily: When user logs in for the first time they should be forced read and accept an Acceptable Use Policy for the site. Agree a separate agreement that relates to their data being shared with other parties. (Optional) upload their profile photo. They can skip this step if they don't have one but they should be prompted to do it each time they login subsequently. The above is all nice and easy in a bespoke app but I can't see how to do this with SharePoint. Can we build a custom workflow that is tied to the user logging in? So far I can only find how to attach workflows to libraries and lists.

  • SharePoint / SQL Server "out of memory" error

    After months of preparation, we launched a new SharePoint intranet portal today. Immediately, some users began getting a "server out of memory" error when they tried to log in. The SharePoint server appeared to be fine, but the SQL Server was reporting 100% memory use. (It has 4 GB.) We rebooted the server and have not had further memory problems, though memory usage is hovering around 60% or above. I'm not convinced that we have solved the problem; I suspect it may return Monday morning when the whole staff tries to log in again. I'm not a database guy, and I'm stumped about how to troubleshoot this. Do we need more memory, or is there somewhere I should look to reduce memory usage?
