    Im trying to get a div to be movable within the constrains of the browser window, by dragging the titlebar inside the div.   • Match a word with similar words using Solr?

    I want to search for threads in my mysql database with Solr. But i want it to not just search the thread words, but for similar words. Eg. if a thread title is "dog for sale" and if the user searches for dogs the title will be in the result. and also if a user searches for "mac os x" the word "snow leopard" will appear. and the ability to link words the application thinks is related eg. house and apartment. how is this kind of logic done? i know that you can with solr look up words in a dictionary file you create/add, so solr will look for dogs and see what related words there are (eg. dog). but where do you find such a dictionary? i have no idea about this kind of implementation. please point me into right direction. thanks

  • Tasks API using Google Apps Script (complete task)

    I am trying to set the status of a task as completed using Tasks API. It shows that the code has completed successfully, but the task is not being marked as completed. Also, when I try to get the status of the task after update, it shows status as "needsAction". I am copying entries from one table to an "archive" table that has all the columns of the original, plus a couple extra ones. It feels sloppy to iterate through every object and manually define the mapping like: foreach (oldTable in dbContextOldTables) { var newTable = new NewTable(); newTable.TableID = oldTable.ID; newTable.Title = oldTable.Title; ...   • seeking help with Chrome & Safari not rendering my table stretched to fit its contents...help?

    I have an element on this web page I'm developing where I need my text to conform to the width of an image above it - whose width will always be different - think of captions. I have found numerous references to using a 1px table to force this width sizing behaviour. I am having problems, though with Safari and Chrome "seeing" this instruction - the text ends up as a marginally sized text box sitting behind the image. The problem, as I see it, has to do with the text and images sitting in div's nested within the table. I need the images to sit in a div because of some jquery script I'm using called cycle, which turns a group of images into a slideshow. The problem may have something to do with the script as well. In any case, I have tried a seeming infinite number of combination of floating left and clearing left on all all the divs, changing their positions and widths...nothing works. Anyone have any clues about how to broach this one?   • MySQL: How to separate a name field in one table into firstname / lastname in two separate tables?

    I have a drupal database where the node table is full of profiles. The field node.title is "Firstname Lastname". I want to separate the names so that node.title = "Firstname", and over in another table entirely, content_type_profile.field_lastname_value = "Lastname". The entries in the two tables can be joined on the field nid. I'd love to run a SQL command to do this, and I am fine with taking the naive approach that the first word is the first name, and everything else in the field is last name -- it will mean a few manual corrections down the line, but that's much better than doing it all by hand in the first place. (I read this question and surely the answer lies in there but I am not that SQL-savvy and am not sure how to make it work for my database.) Thanks!

    I'm studying ASP.NET MVC and I use LINQ to SQL for model. I have a table named "Note" with the fields "Title" and "Content". The "Content" field can contain thousand characters. What I want to do is to display the LIST of notes in a page. I use table with two columns, for "Title" and SUBSTRING of the "Content" (50 characters). My problem is, I don't know how to edit the model so that it will display only the substring of the "Content". Thanks in advance!

    Having a really frustrating time with Firefox and the back button...given this simple ASP form: <head> <title>Form 1</title> </head> <body> <form action="form2.asp" method="post"> Enter some text:<input type="text" name="thetext" id="thetext"> <input type="submit" id="submit" name="submit"> </form> </body> </html> Firefox (3.6.3) will occasionally clear the value of the text box after hitting submit and then the back button. It's unpredictable when it will strike. And it will work for dozens to hundreds of times, and then all of a sudden it stops working. Any ideas where I should start?

    I'm fairly new to PHP/MySql and using queries in general. I was just wondering if there's any benefit to using "AS" in a query other than trying to make it look cleaner? Does it speed up the query at all? I probably could have figured this out by a google search but I wanted to ask my first question and see how this works.   • Omit attribute name from validation error message (at start of it)?

    I write code in English but I'm currently doing a site which is fully translated to another language (validation error messages included). However, I have a problem because validation error messages always seem to include the name of the attribute the error is on at the start of the error, e.g.: Title Prosimo izpolnite naziv fakultete. I want to get rid of the Title at the start, like so: Prosimo izpolnite naziv fakultete. Any help is appreciated. I would rather see if this can be solved without installing any 3rd party plugins. If it's possible to provide translations for attribute names, that would be a cool solution too, but I would still like to know how it can be done both ways (omit or translate).

    Hi all I am trying to use a $.post() in the following way: $.post("file.php", { file_id: $(this).val()}, function(data){...} The file.php then does a database query and returns an array with a title, description and image reference. What I want to do then is be able to update the .val() for form fields for each. I understand how to do this on a single variable, it would just be the following: $.post("file.php", { file_id: $(this).val()}, function(data){ $('#title').val(data); } But, how do I get the data returned to be recognizable in jquery as either separate variables or as an array?
